00:00George, let's start off with Derek Carr of the New Orleans Saints, who is off to one
00:07of the best starts of his career.
00:09He's been fantastic, over 400 passing yards, five touchdowns, one interception, and yet
00:16the Saints are only two and a half point favorites against the Eagles this week.
00:19I mean, it sort of tells you, you know, when I look at odds like that, it sort of tells
00:23you there's still a lot of non-belief in what the Saints are doing.
00:28So, I don't think we're asking Carr to be vintage Drew Brees or anything like that,
00:32but, you know, he has connected, I want to be clear here, with Rashid Shaheed on two
00:40monster bomb touchdowns, okay?
00:43And you don't want to take those away.
00:45But the question is, will anybody, George, be able to take those away?
00:49Because this guy, through a few games, looks like Tyreek Hill on Miami.
00:54Well, first off, I want to thank our producer, Sam Yarnall, for, I guess, waiting a couple
00:58of segments before trolling me about Derek Carr on the Cowboys.
01:01I appreciate that very much.
01:03That went so well last week.
01:05Listen, quarterback is a little tough because, you know, Allen, Jackson, Hurts, Mahomes,
01:11Burrow, Murray, Stroud, I mean, people are still going to believe in Richardson, Purdy.
01:16I guess one of these is named 10.
01:17So we're in a 10-team league.
01:19I mean, where does Carr fit in?
01:2012-team league, okay.
01:21Probably still in that 10 to 14 range there.
01:25Should he be started right now?
01:26Absolutely.
01:27The man's hot.
01:28No one has really caught up to this Clint Kubiak offense, right?
01:30This is not the New Orleans Saints offense of old, right?
01:33This is not that.
01:34This is a legitimate passing offense.
01:36Passing is down throughout the NFL, with the exception of a couple of teams.
01:41One being New England, one being the Raiders, and another team or two.
01:45So maybe it's a different age, where we're going back to the 70s and 80s football, where
01:49we run the ball all the time, kill the clock, keep the defense off the field, that sort
01:52of thing.
01:53But New Orleans isn't buying that.
01:54And you're right.
01:55Shahid is.
01:56Right now, he could be a league winner.
01:57He's been that good.
01:58It's week three.
01:59All right.
02:00I do think it'll balance out here.
02:01But right now, he's been that good a player here, where if he's even, he's leaving.
02:05Ain't no one catching up with him.
02:07But Carr is a definite start.
02:08I mentioned, you know, I had Jordan Love in the league.
02:11I had Tuer in that league as well.
02:13Both out.
02:14I just claimed Derek Carr yesterday.
02:15And, you know, you mentioned Love.
02:17Even if Love plays this week, I am still starting Carr over him.
02:20I think it's another interesting conversation.
02:23I wouldn't trust Love.
02:24All right.
02:25He's playing what?
02:26Tennessee.
02:27Not a great matchup for him.
02:28You know, they can play defense here.
02:30And I don't know if he's going to last the whole game, or somebody who runs centric game.
02:32They're not going to need to score a lot of points against Tennessee, I would think.
02:35So yeah, I would start Carr over Love pretty easily.
02:38I'm not saying for the rest of the season, but this week.
