00:00I want to know if you think, um, that Alan's better than Jim Kelly yet.
00:11I think that Josh Allen's a better quarterback than Jim Kelly.
00:16That's, that's dangerous.
00:20That's dangerous.
00:20That's very dangerous.
00:23I mean, the guy, the guy went, no, but I'm talking from an athletic
00:26standpoint, from an athletic standpoint.
00:29Like, I don't, I don't think Jim Kelly would argue with us.
00:31I don't think Jim Kelly would say, Oh, I'm as athletic as Josh Allen.
00:35Right.
00:36Josh Allen, Jim Kelly's a hall of famer, right?
00:39So Josh Allen, I think Josh Allen will be a hall of famer as well
00:42when it's all said and done.
00:44But from an athletic standpoint, I think Josh Allen's better Scott,
00:47but you know, Jim Kelly's still the man.
00:50Josh Allen hasn't accomplished what Jim Kelly has with the bills.
00:53So I'm not, I'm not elevating Josh Allen above Jim Kelly and bills.
00:57Bill's like, you know, the bills level of fame here or important Scott,
01:02but he's a better quarterback.
01:04Let's just be real.
01:05I mean, it's the modern era.
01:06He's bigger, he's faster.
01:07He's stronger.
01:08Right.
01:08Jim Kelly's a stud, but I think Josh Allen's a better, better quarterback.
01:13Yeah, I listen, I'm not going to argue with you about his running ability,
01:16but I mean, as a, as a thrower, uh, Jim Kelly was better than, uh, than Josh Allen.
01:22I mean, Jim Kelly may have been one of the greatest arms and on the money
01:26passers I ever saw in NFL history.
01:29And that's why he's in the hall of fame.
01:31Uh, his numbers are staggering.
01:33Uh, I don't care what era you play in, uh, watching him at Miami and with the bills.
01:40Listen, I've always believed that that is the greatest team I
01:44ever saw not win a super bowl.
01:46To go to that many super bowls and not win.
01:48I was thinking about that as well.
01:50It was under, it just wasn't realistic.
01:53I couldn't understand it.
01:54It never made sense to me how they destroyed the AFC for years on end.
01:58They had a dynasty and they never won.
02:00It is that first one.
02:03That first one was the one people talk about Norwood missing the kick.
02:09You know, it's funny.
02:10It was, you know, look how times change, Scott, that was a 47 yarder and there
02:14was no guarantees he was going to make it right now you miss a 47 yarder.
02:18And you're never kicking again.
02:21Right.
02:21It's sort of like, wow, you're supposed to make it from 52 type
02:24of deal, so that's what I'm saying.
02:25As far as athletics is and times change.
02:28But you know, the reason the bills lost that game, they
02:30couldn't stop Otis Anderson.
02:32Right.
02:32The giants dominated the time of possession.
02:34The giants had to football for 41 minutes to the bills.
02:3619.
02:37I know the bill set a record because they scored 19 points in 19 minutes.
02:41The first time a team ever scored a point a minute, uh, with their time of
02:44possession and the super bowl before they just fell short though, and it
02:49was the first and the last one.
02:51Right.
02:52They lost the first one.
02:53And like Scott said, guys, the bills were freaking dominant.
02:56Like they were, they were the best team, right.
02:59Them in San Francisco, like a collision course, but never played each other.
03:03Remember Scott Dan Marino and the dolphins were good.
03:06I mean, I was, you know, they had Duper they had Clayton, right.
03:09It was like the real deal.
03:10The Miami dolphins, the bills and dolphins had a rivalry.
03:13The bills always, you know, just sort of beat them.
03:16And I remember the AFC conference championship game.
03:19They beat the Raiders 51, three.
03:21Like, that's how good the bills were.
03:23It was like, this team's a juggernaut.
03:24Like they're going to win the super bowl.
03:26They play the giants.
03:27There were seven point favorites against the giants.
03:28They lose 20 to 19.
03:30They make it back to the super bowl the following year.
03:33They played the Washington Redskins.
03:36That's the one that was disappointing.
03:38Like it just sort of fell apart.
03:39That was Kelly's Kelly had a bad game.
03:41And that one, the third one was the blowout where it was embarrassing.
03:45Dallas smoked them.
03:47And then the fourth one Buffalo were leading Dallas at the half.
03:51And I actually felt, wow, this, this might actually be it.
03:54We're going to get it this time.
03:55You know what I mean?
03:56It was revenge against Dallas.
03:57They were up at the half and they fumbled the ball in the second, in the third
04:02quarter to start the second half, the wheels fell off and the rest is history.
04:06Hopefully Josh Allen could do what Jim Kelly didn't and finish,
04:09finish what Jim Kelly started.
