00:00Hi, it's Christy at the Bureau with your national weather forecast for tomorrow, Friday the 27th of
00:05September. Taking a look at our weather chart to start with, we can see this trough over Queensland.
00:11Now that is the remains of the cloud band that has been extending across the country,
00:14bringing showers and thunderstorms. By tomorrow, however, mostly just contracted to the east coast
00:20and combining with a cold front that's going to be moving up the coast today and into tomorrow.
00:25And we will see during the day tomorrow a low pressure system start to develop off the coast
00:30of New South Wales and Queensland. Now that is giving showers and thunderstorms mostly over
00:35southeast Queensland and northeast New South Wales, but also wrapping around that low pressure
00:39system, very strong southerly winds pushing up the coast. And we do have hazardous surf warnings
00:44for the north coast of New South Wales and the south coast of Queensland. Now elsewhere across
00:50the country, we have a very large high pressure system over the southeast, giving very settled
00:54conditions, particularly over Victoria for our public holiday Friday, and also settled conditions
00:59over central Australia. But over in the west, this trough and cold front moving through southern WA,
01:04giving showers and thunderstorms extending across the south of the state. Zooming into Queensland,
01:11we can see showers and thunderstorms over the southeast. As we saw before, we are expecting
01:16rainfall totals mostly between 5 and 20 millimetres, but with thunderstorms, some places could get up
01:22to 50 millimetres. Much more settled inland, we do have high fire danger for the west of the state.
01:29Very cold air moving up the coast behind that cold front, so Brisbane expecting just atop of
01:3421 degrees tomorrow with showers. Moving into New South Wales, we see those showers and
01:39thunderstorms over the northeast of the state, much more patchy as we move further down the coast
01:46through the south of the state, some morning frost patches and then beautiful sunny conditions.
01:51Sydney, a shower or two, top of 19 degrees. Canberra, a frosty start, just one degree,
01:56and then a top of 16 degrees during the day. Down in Victoria, beautiful conditions for our
02:02public holiday Friday with some morning fog and frost patches through the inland parts during
02:07the morning, and then a sunny day with freshening northerly winds. Melbourne expecting a sunny top of
02:1317 degrees. Down in Tasmania, also very settled with some morning frost through interior parts,
02:20maybe some cloud down the west coast and through the south. Hobart heading for a cloudy top of 17
02:26degrees, but much sunnier up in the northeast. Moving into South Australia, some morning frost
02:32patches through the southeast and then a generally sunny day with freshening northerly winds, and
02:38those warm temperatures and fresh winds will give us high fire dangers through the west coast
02:42district. Adelaide heading for a sunny top of 22. Over in the west, we can see those showers and
02:48thunderstorms extending across the south of Western Australia with that trough and cold front.
02:54Ahead of the cold front, warm and windy conditions giving us high fire dangers through the gold
02:59fields, the western central and southern interior, and the Euclid district. While over on the west
03:04coast, we'll see below average temperatures pushing onshore behind this cold front. Perth heading for
03:09a top of just 19 degrees tomorrow with showers. And up in the north, some showers and thunderstorms
03:15through the western top end and the Kimberley, but otherwise pretty settled conditions, clear and
03:20sunny through central Australia. Darwin heading for a top of 33 degrees with a shower or two,
03:25Alice Springs a sunny top of 26. And that's it for our weather forecast. Make sure you stay up
03:31to date with the forecast, some warnings for your location on our website or app, and we'll see you
03:36again tomorrow.
