Westbrook and Jokic excited to link up in Denver

Russel Westbrook says it will be an 'honour' to share the court with Nikola Jokic at the Denver Nuggets.

00:00Honestly, just to be on the floor with him is a grateful honor and I'm grateful for that.

00:10He does so many different things on the floor that allows other people to be great and I'm

00:16just happy to be able to be a part and not playing against him or scouting against him

00:21and I'm able to kind of see his greatness up close and see the things he's able to do.

00:26I mean, of course, we didn't have a good relationship on the court.

00:28We were fighting a lot and talking back and forth, but I know who he is a little bit outside

00:35of the court.

00:36I have the utmost respect for Nicole and the things he's been able to do in his game thus

00:40far and I think it's vice versa and us having that allows us to, you know, mesh immediately,

00:51immediate conversations, understanding what it takes to win and obviously he's won a championship

00:55so he knows exactly what it takes to win.

00:58Great teammate, vocal leadership, the guy who want to listen, the guy who want to follow

01:04in the gym, so I think he's a great, great player for us and I think he's going to bring

01:08us all the good stuff.
