00:00Donald Trump has long positioned himself as the economics president, despite his track record.
00:05However, it seems millionaires have seen through the facade, as a new survey by investment bank UBS has found the majority are voting for Harris.
00:13The poll asked those who have at least $1 million in investable assets what they thought about each candidate,
00:18with 57% of those surveyed saying they will cast a ballot in favor of Harris.
00:23Meanwhile, only 43% said they would do so for Trump.
00:27That lead was even larger when independents were isolated, with 60% saying they will be voting for Harris, and just 40% for Trump.
00:34This should be an especially concerning survey for the GOP as well, as the group consisted of 38% Republicans, 34% Democrats, and 26% independents.
00:44Experts say that these results could be the work of record highs in the stock market, under the Biden administration.
00:50With UBS writing about the situation, despite the recent economic uncertainty,
00:54wealthy investors are heading into the U.S. presidential election feeling more optimistic about the economy and their own portfolios than they felt four years ago.
01:02Those that favored Harris say her plans to boost the middle class and invest in green energy could be key in addressing economic concerns.
