00:00The Department of Justice is ashamed of the one-by-one retreat in the case of the children of missing soap operators.

00:08Among them is the family of a soap master agent who was hanged in his house in San Pablo, Laguna.

00:20The Department of Justice is saddened by the loss of the families facing the court in the cases of missing soap operators.

00:29Just this past June, the affidavit of desistance or the withdrawal of the case of the children of Ricardo Lasco,

00:35the one-by-one soap master agent who was hanged in his house in San Pablo, Laguna, was released.

00:42It is humiliating. These are the cases where there are witnesses. These are the ones who are investigating.

00:48These are the ones who were investigated by the police.

00:51There was another case that was investigated by the prosecutor.

00:55But when it comes to the trial, or even before it comes to the trial, it is already falling behind.

01:00Of the more than 30 missing soap operators, only two cases have been brought to court.

01:05The cases of kidnapping with serious illegal detention and robbery for the hanging of Lasco,

01:11which is being heard in San Pablo RTC Branch 29,

01:14and the cases of kidnapping and serious illegal detention for the disappearance of six soap operators in Manila Arena,

01:20which is being heard in Manila RTC Branch 41.

01:24All the relatives of the missing people in these two cases have already withdrawn.

01:30What they are saying is that we don't want this anymore.

01:32No explanations whatsoever.

01:34No matter how hard we push and how many questions we ask,

01:37I must admit, this will have an impact on the result.

01:41In the case of Lasco, the petition is being heard by the three police officers who were accused of being able to escape.

01:46In the case of the missing people in Manila Arena, the prosecution of the witnesses and evidence continues to present.

01:53The six security personnel accused in the case were released because the court allowed them to appeal.

01:59Even if the victims pull out of the case, if they desist,

02:03we will continue to present the evidence that is with us because that is our duty.
