Student Services is a 2010 French television film directed by Emmanuelle Bercot, based on the book of the same name by Laura D. The film explores the struggles of a 19-year-old college freshman, Laura, who works in a call center to make ends meet. Despite her efforts, she is unable to afford her education and becomes desperate, leading her to answer a personal ad online for a “tender moment” with a 57-year-old man, Joe, for 100 euros per hour.
