Scott Parker felt his side delivered a disciplined performance in their draw with Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.

00:00A real disciplined performance.

00:01We had to try and break down 10, 11 men in that sense.

00:05And first half, I thought we had a real dominance about us, shifted them

00:10in terms of trying to make good opportunities.

00:13When the opportunities come today, the two, Jeremy and Andreas,

00:17were two big opportunities which we didn't manage to convert, really.

00:20So, obviously, it's a different game then at that moment,

00:22and we're probably standing here saying what an unbelievable performance it was from us.

00:25And we worked our moments, but that's not the case, of course.

00:29Like I said, we've come out with a point.

00:30They were a huge back four.

00:32You know, you've got three centre-afts playing across the back line today.

00:36And probably that was their game plan in that sense, centre-aft playing at full-back.

00:41And obviously, two big boys that are really dominant in the air.

00:45And that's why we had to move the ball and try and manipulate them for our chances, really.

00:49But, yes, their plays were what they were today in that sense.

00:51I don't think that was a riding factor on why we obviously didn't get a win.

00:55You know, I thought for large part, Spooner should be.

00:57I don't think there was anyone, really, that didn't perform at the levels we'd expect.

01:01I thought Al Foster led the line superbly well in terms of his energy.

01:04Our pressing was very, very good, and we really nullified them to very few chances in terms of that.

01:11And then, yes, like I said, it was the riding factor from today's game is obviously in your moments when they come,

01:17because they are, they're going to be few and far between.

01:19You need to take them, and we just didn't manage to do that.

01:22For me, there was massive positives today, to be quite honest with you,

01:25in terms of what I see, a real control about us, a real dominance.

01:29Of course, we can always be picky.

01:32The fine margins are, like I said, if we win this game 1-0, 2-0,

01:35we're probably having a very different conversation in terms of how well we played.

01:39So, I don't want to lose sight of that, and certainly I won't, because we did play well.

01:43We minimised them to few chances.

01:45Now, of course, there's elements to our game where you dominate that much that you want to be more of a threat,

01:51but you're always up against another XI trying to stop you,

01:54and that was certainly the case today.
