00:00Kim is known as the Japanese killer he's faced 10 Japanese opponents and beaten them all
00:25but he has never faced someone like Naoki Inoue. Three by five minute rounds
00:31for Bantamweight gold. Michael Chiavello, Damian Brown with you.
00:36Kim the favorite at minus 175. The comeback on Inoue plus 130.
00:43Overhand right to a jab from Suchul Kim. Clash of leg kicks. Kim drew the short straw.
01:02Bouncing around on the balls of his feet here Kim.
01:06Inoue the more flat footed of the two. Good sliding jab from Inoue.
01:14Thought about the front kick did Kim. Elbow from Naoki Inoue. Exquisitely timed. That was delightful.
01:21Yeah that was beautiful. You see the long stance of Inoue just drawing the calf kicks out and able
01:26to get away from most of them. A little bit of redness on the on the stomach from those left
01:31body kicks of Kim but overall Naoki Inoue doing a fantastic job of circling left or right to evade
01:39the forward attack of Kim. Who looks like he's getting a little impatient.
01:43Run on the spot but so far Inoue having the better of the striking.
01:51Suchul Kim not really settled into this one yet.
01:56Punch kick there from Naoki Inoue. Inoue throws the lead leg. Goes to the inside lead five. Kim
02:03sliding jab to run across. Good two punch combination. Tight boxing so far from Inoue.
02:10Rides the leg kick. Threads the lead hand.
02:15Nice jab again. Through the eye of the needle. Jab again from Inoue. There's another one.
02:24Left hook misses from Kim. Inoue evasive and slick like a vat of oil covered in Vaseline.
02:31Another jab. Kim's taking more jabs than a diabetic in this first round. I think Kim's
02:38got a cut over the right eye maybe. He wiped it away. I lost the camera angle but looks like he's
02:43got a cut over the right eye. It is the jabs of Inoue that are leaving their mark on Suchul Kim.
02:54He's got to start parrying those jabs. Take the head off center line.
02:58Again.
03:05That almost telescopic lead arm of Naoki Inoue.
03:11Doing everything right so far Inoue.
03:14There's a left hand from Kim. Gives him a taste of the leather.
03:19It's another jab. Inoue circling away from the power side of Kim.
03:25Hunt kick from Kim. Little uppercut. Misses with the left hand.
03:31Inoue sets the right. The jab will come first.
03:35Facing the right hand. Resets.
03:40There it is. The jab to right.
03:49What a round for Naoki Inoue. Continues to jab.
03:55Round kick from Kim. Left hand from Kim. He's on rubber legs. He was on rubber legs.
04:03Had it away. Couple of eyes. Jab. Inoue drops it. He crumples it. He folds it. Here comes Inoue.
04:10Here comes the parry arm. The assault. The pain. The power. They are the Inoue house of glass.
04:19Blowing away. Bludgeoning the side of the face of Muto Kim.
04:25He's still going. He's still going. Kim goes for the grab. He's gone. He's gone. He's gone.
04:32The benchmark champion is Naoki Inoue. He blew him away.
04:41Well that was massive. Inoue just right from the start.
04:44The more that Kim gave him range and allowed him to work on the outside,
04:48the more success he had. Absolutely at no time did he look like he didn't have his eye in.
04:53It was like he was seeing everything that was coming at him. Kim was telling him what happened.
04:59The most success he had was having it dead in the pocket but he was getting hit to do it.
05:04I think he landed one clean left hook and after that it was all in the way. That right hand was
05:09absolutely plumbed on the chin and it was all over from there. The jab is such an underrated
05:17weapon in mixed martial arts. Often underused. Not tonight though. But not by Naoki Inoue.
05:25A jabbing clinic. And he absolutely thrashes Sujo Kim.
05:33In his corner tonight Inoue. Former UFC bantamweight contender Takeya Mizugaki.
05:46And he looks jubilant. Absolutely jubilant.
05:55Second KO victory of his career. And Sujo Kim suffers the first knockout loss of his career.
06:03Sakakibara-san to present the bantamweight gold to Naoki Inoue.
06:13What hands tonight Damien? Oh he looked incredible didn't he? He had the stance,
06:18he was ready to pounce. The jab was long, straight, fast, sharp and then everything came off it.
06:25And when he had him hurt he seemed calm and a little bit calculated rather than rushing in
06:31and it paid dividends. He popped out one more jab and the right hander came through.
06:36Just folded Sujo Kim and it was all over from there. I actually thought he was going to circle
06:41to the back and go for a submission at one point but opted to ground and pound instead.
06:46And Kim just really couldn't recover after that. Two big right hands was all he really needed
06:51before he poured it on. And tonight Naoki Inoue is the champ from Japan. He's from a great camp
07:00and tonight he really showed his level. 19 years of age in the UFC and tonight he's 27 still. Just
07:07so young. Most guys most guys aren't even hitting their straps until they're 25 to 28 years old.
07:13So 27 years old becoming the champ. He has the world at his feet and a long career still ahead
07:19of him. So to be at the top already is amazing. 18 and 4 record now on Naoki Inoue and here's
07:28how he did it. Left his jaw exposed in Kim. He was doing the chicken dance and Inoue capitalized.
07:40Look how he just starched him with that beautiful setup from the jab.
07:45Spun around to the back and continued to bludgeon and assault Sujo Kim.
07:51Everything came from the jab.
08:09That wonderful lead hand was the assist. The right hand scored the goal.
08:21Sujo Kim who was hunting for a third championship in three different organizations. Not to be tonight.
08:51Introducing himself. I'm Sujo Inoue and I've got the belt.
