00:00And we will now update on the Super Typhoon Juliana and its continued effects in the current time,

00:09with Amor La Rosa of the GMA Integrated News Weather Center.

00:16Thank you, Ms. Vicky.

00:17My fellow countrymen, the Super Typhoon Juliana is already out, but it is expected to return to the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:25Even though it is already outside of Par, the signal No. 1 is still high here in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union,

00:32northern and western portions of Pangasinan, Apayaw, Abra, Calinga, and also in Mountain Province.

00:38Signal No. 1 is also here in Ifugawa, Benguet, Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, northern and western portions of Isabela,

00:46and also in the northwestern portion of Nueva Vizcaya.

00:50It is also expected that there will be strong winds with heavy rains.

00:55The last time the typhoon was seen was 245 kilometers away in Canluran, Itbayat, Batanes.

01:01This is because of the strong winds reaching 195 kilometers per hour and heavy rains reaching 240 kilometers per hour.

01:10It is very strong, fellow countrymen, and it is slow to move north-northwest.

01:15It is expected that the typhoon will bring the most rainfall in Basco, Batanes,

01:22which reached 727.8 millimeters yesterday, the last day of September.

01:28It is expected to be record high because this is the highest rainfall recorded in the history of Batanes.

01:36Now, if we go back to the track of the typhoon, it was a bit shaky and it was heading in many directions.

01:43Because of the high-pressure areas around our Philippine Area of Responsibility,

01:48it was blocking and affecting the movement of the typhoon.

01:52From Friday to this weekend, it was going down and then it turned around before it rose.

02:00Then, it changed to this part of the extreme northern Luzon until it re-curved or turned around again.

02:07Now, the typhoon has reached outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but it is expected to return tomorrow.

02:15It will continue to hit the part of Taiwan where it is expected to landfall.

02:21After that, it will continue to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday night or on Friday morning

02:30depending on if there is a change in its movement in the next few hours.

02:36Aside from the super typhoon, the Easter Easterly is also expected to rain in our country.

02:40It is the hot and stinging wind from the Pacific Ocean and also the localized thunderstorms.

02:47Based on the data of Metro Weather, it is still possible to experience rain this evening.

02:52It is here in some parts of Batanes and Babuyan Islands and also here in some parts of Ilocos Provinces.

02:59It can happen again tomorrow, but it is not expected anymore.

03:03The typhoon hit this part of the extreme northern Luzon.

03:08In other parts of Luzon, it is expected to rain in Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and also in some parts of Bicol Region.

03:18Here in Metro Manila, it is still expected to rain.

03:22If it rains, it is because of the localized thunderstorms that we usually experience in the afternoon or evening.

03:29In Visayas, it is also expected to rain in Antique, Negros Island Region, and in some parts of Eastern and Central Visayas.

03:38Mindanao is also expected to rain because of the possible thunderstorms.

03:43We can see that it is expected to rain heavily in some parts of Barm, Sok Sargen, and Karaga.

03:50So be careful for the residents because it is also possible for floods to occur.
