00:00Anna Todd, welcome to Us Weekly.
00:02We're here to celebrate 10 year anniversary of After.
00:05These books are so special to me.
00:06They're so special to you.
00:08So to start off, can you even believe
00:10that you've been here 10 years?
00:12Absolutely not.
00:13Like it's just wild to me.
00:16First of all, I feel like I'm like just now turned like 17.
00:20So I'm like, who, like what version of me wrote this?
00:23It's so wild.
00:24And just like thinking about all of the milestones
00:27of like going from the internet to having a big publisher
00:31and the first time seeing my books,
00:32like it feels like a year ago.
00:34Like I remember the exact like emotions I had.
00:36I remember like seeing my book in Target for the first time.
00:39I remember seeing it in the airport for the first time.
00:41And I'm like, how is that 10 years?
00:43My first book signing.
00:44It's like, it's actually crazy.
00:46Yeah.
00:47And like, how are you feeling?
00:48Like, are you nervous for the future?
00:51Are you feeling more nostalgic?
00:53Like what is your mindset?
00:54Like thinking back on all this stuff.
00:56It's definitely nostalgic.
00:57I'm such a like emo person
00:59that I'm like tie everything to emotion.
01:01So I'm like feeling very nostalgic
01:04and very just like connected.
01:06Cause for a little bit,
01:07especially when things are like more quiet
01:08between books and stuff,
01:09like there hasn't been a lot of like,
01:12my first time when I read your book
01:13for the first time lately.
01:15And I get messages like that
01:16when people are just now reading it,
01:18but the influx of the people who read it in the beginning
01:21and like reminding me of that,
01:22like rush from like the Wattpad days.
01:24Like if you were there,
01:26you know how it felt to like wait for the updates.
01:28So that kind of stuff has me feeling so nostalgic
01:31and like remembering like writing
01:33and not knowing what was going to happen
01:35or having any idea or publishing plan
01:38from going from that to like movies.
01:39It just feels like very, very nostalgic.
01:42So can you tell us about your next book?
01:44I know that you have coming up.
01:46Yeah.
01:46So the title is going to be The Last Sunrise.
01:49I can't talk too much about the plot yet,
01:50but it's obviously a romance.
01:53There's a very personal part of it.
01:56The main character has the same genetic condition
02:00that my son has,
02:01which was really therapeutic and really hard at times, right?
02:04But I'm, yeah, I can't say that much more,
02:08but it's obviously going to be a love story.
02:12There's lots of drama, family stuff going on,
02:16like travel, like what is, I'm like not travel-borne.
02:20What is the other word for travel-borne?
02:23But like travel, like wish fulfillment,
02:27lots of wish fulfillment,
02:28which I feel like we all need some like
02:30pretending we're in a European country.
02:34And I'm really excited about it.
02:35And I optioned the film rights already.
02:36And I'm a producer, a full producer on that film.
02:38I can't say which studio,
02:39but we're like in full motion for that.
02:42So I'm so excited.
