00:04And this is the moment Cameron McNeil's dash cam caught a tornado descending from above,
00:09with dozens of vehicles being caught up in the chaos.
00:12Initially, the storm looked relatively benign, as McNeil and many other drivers carry on.
00:17But above them, a funnel cloud is growing in the dark skies.
00:20McNeil seems to be heading away from the storm,
00:23but turns right while going towards his destination.
00:25And that's when things go bad.
00:27A funnel cloud swoops in from the left, touching down directly on top of his vehicle.
00:31Debris is thrown across the road,
00:33and a transformer ahead of him explodes in a flash of blue light.
00:37Still, McNeil continues driving.
00:39The tornado nearly causes a blackout ahead.
00:41With the dash cam capturing the moment, a bus is nearly overturned.
00:45All as McNeil steers between debris and cars.
00:48The driver says his vehicle was completely totaled by the encounter,
00:52but luckily he got out alive.
00:53Meteorologists say the tornado reached wind speeds upwards of 150 miles per hour,
00:58causing severe damage in both Tennessee and Kentucky.
01:01Thousands were left without power in the wake of the terrible storm,
01:04with authorities saying that six people were killed by the raging tempest.
