00:27The classic novel Journey to the West inspired both Wukong and the Dragon Ball franchise.
00:32And now there's a mod that transforms the Destined One into Goku.
00:36It was uploaded to Nexus Mods by a user called NorskPL, and it works by replacing one of
00:41the Destined One's outfits with a Goku skin.
00:43Compared to the wild visuals in the game, the almost cell-shaded Goku model looks a
00:48little off, but if you squint a bit while you play, it shouldn't be a problem.
00:52There aren't any other gameplay effects right now, but it's a great way to geek out about
00:55your favorite Journey to the West-inspired media.
00:58It just feels right to see Goku flying into battle with massive demons on a cloud.

01:09However, it's become so popular that even people who would never normally touch a Souls-adjacent

01:15Modders are hard at work turning Black Myth Wukong into a game that can appeal to completely

01:21A Redditor named Lin Zhan Wei posted a clip of what the game would look like as an FPS,
01:26essentially turning the game into Call of Duty Wukong.
01:30It won't be surprising to learn that even tough bosses like Black Bear Gwai get a lot
01:34easier to beat with an assault rifle.
01:36But after tossing out controllers after losing so many boss battles, this is one easy mode
01:40that we'd really love to try for ourselves.
01:43If you're looking for a bit of nostalgia and a brand new weapon all rolled into one, then
01:47Black Myth Wukong modder NorskPL has you covered yet again.
01:51Much like the Goku mod, this mod replaces one of the Destin-1's standard weapons with
01:55a Minecraft-inspired skin.
01:57Unlike the FPS mod, however, this one won't make the game any easier.
02:01You might not be able to break down your enemies any faster with the double-diamond pickaxe,
02:05even though you should, but the new weapon will make you look extra cool while you smash

02:14Black Myth Wukong features an epic opening cutscene that sets the stage for the game
02:18by introducing the conflict between Sun Wukong and Er Long Shen.
02:22A YouTuber called Dush recently uploaded a video showing off what that cutscene would
02:26look like if it set up a different battle entirely.
02:29It looks like a nostalgic modder has cast CJ and Big Smoke as the stars of Black Myth
02:33Wukong.
02:34Their mod hilariously turns Wukong's staff into an assault rifle, but CJ still uses it
02:38like a melee weapon.
02:39At the time of this writing, this particular mod hasn't landed on Nexus or anywhere similar.
02:44But now that the video is being shared, it's hopefully only a matter of time before we
02:48all get to play it.
02:50Modders are a diverse bunch of people, but they all seem to agree on one thing.
02:54From Resident Evil 2 to Skyrim, Thomas the Tank Engine needs to be in every game.
02:58We aren't sure who created it, but Reddit user Kenny32VR saw this mod in action and
03:03uploaded a clip that's gotten shared all over.
03:06The mod replaces the monstrous Kang Jin Loong battle with good old Thomas.
03:10Of course, having this mod installed means you miss out on one of the coolest dragon
03:13fights in the game, but if you're grabbing a Thomas mod, you probably don't care about
03:18things like that in the first place.
