00:00Finally, a man who stole a bicycle in Navotas.

00:03The suspect admitted to the crime that he planned to sell the bicycle in exchange for illegal drugs.

00:16For a few minutes, this man was roaming around the Agora Market in Navotas as if he has something to show off.

00:23Later on, he quickly stole the bicycle parked in front of a hardware store.

00:30I bought it from a materialist for my house.

00:34Now, I'm leaving my bike there.

00:37I'm going to pay for it.

00:39When I turn around, my bike is gone.

00:42The owner said that he didn't just steal his bike.

00:47He even bought it in Japan when he was in the OFW for a few decades.

00:53It's been with me for a long time.

00:54It has a sentimental value to me.

00:56It's been with me for 29 years.

00:58It's older than my mother.

01:01Last night, a 35-year-old suspect was caught in the barangay of NBBS Proper.

01:06He admitted that he stole the bicycle that he was planning to sell,

01:10but was arrested by the police in Tondo, Manila.

01:14According to the barangay, the suspect even said that he will tell the authorities where they left the bicycle.

01:21But a few hours later, they came back and the bicycle was still not recovered.

01:27He said that he sold it there and he didn't know the person who sold it to him.

01:33How much is the bicycle?

01:34Just give me a moment, ma'am.

01:38According to the police, it's illegal to steal a bicycle.

01:45It's based on our investigation.

01:48The bicycle that he stole, he will bring it to PITAS in Manila.

01:54He will sell it for P1,000 or P1,500.

01:58But if he doesn't have money, he will exchange it for drugs.

02:02The suspect was previously charged for stealing and using illegal drugs.

02:09He also admitted that he often uses illegal drugs.
