00:00The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board has approved an increase in the minimum wage in three regions.
00:07This is for Region 2 or Cagayan Valley, Region 3 or Central Luzon, and Region 12 or Soxargen.
00:15In Cagayan Valley, there is an increase of P30 in the daily minimum wage of workers.
00:20For example, the daily wage in the non-agriculture sector is P450 to P480, while the daily wage in the agriculture sector is P430 to P460.
00:35In Central Luzon, the minimum daily wage in both sectors is P50 to P66,
00:40while the minimum daily wage in both sectors is P485 to P550.
00:48P435 to P540 is allocated for retail and service establishments in the region.
00:56In Soxargen, the daily wage is increased from P27 to P48.
01:03In addition, the daily minimum wage will be increased from P410 to P430.
01:10According to the Department of Labor and Employment, these will be effective from October 17.
