00:00Finally, today is the day of Varsha's delivery.
00:03Shockingly, around 1 o'clock in the afternoon, the hospital declared the other child dead.
00:08In our country, such secret clinical trials are going on without any restrictions.
00:12Even if the person dies.
00:14A woman named Rukhsar, who was pregnant for 7 months, was admitted for 2 days.
00:17The hospital put the child in a box.
00:20The blood present in all these bottles is dropped in the sink like this.
00:24But the doctors push the woman into the hell of C-section to fill their pockets.
00:31Approximately 7 years ago, on 30th November, 2017, at 9 am,
00:35Aashish Kumar and his wife Varsha go to a very famous hospital for routine check-up before the delivery of their twins.
00:42This famous hospital was located in Shalibar Bagh, Delhi.
00:45The doctor starts the check-up and during the sonography, he tells Varsha that there are some complications in the pregnancy.
00:50I took my wife to the Max hospital.
00:54They said that the children will have to be delivered.
00:58After that, we told them to do whatever they feel is right.
01:03Following this, he forces them to deliver Varsha before 9 months.
01:08Doctors also tell Aashish that since the children are born before 9 months,
01:11they will have to keep the two children in a special unit for 4 days.
01:15Taking advantage of the compulsion, the hospital told the charge of that special unit for a day to be Rs. 1 lakh,
01:20which is normally Rs. 5,000-10,000.
01:22These parents did not have any other option, so they took loans and arranged the money.
01:26Finally, today is the day of Varsha's delivery.
01:29And unfortunately, after the delivery, Aashish and Varsha got such news that broke them.
01:34After 5 minutes of delivery, the doctors declared one of the twins dead.
01:39Shockingly, at around 1 o'clock in the day, the hospital declared the other child dead too.
01:43And they put the bodies of both the children in a plastic bag
01:46and handed them over to the parents from the back gate of the hospital as if they were non-living things.
01:50It was told that after the delivery, one child died.
01:53And after an hour, the other child was also declared dead and his body was packed in a parcel.
02:00If only the hospital in Delhi had checked the bodies of the children properly,
02:05then this strange incident would not have happened to the parents.
02:07Which strange incident? Listen carefully.
02:09Poor parents, Aashish and Varsha took their dead, declared twins in the car and went home.
02:14These helpless parents, keeping in mind the last rites, were rushing home,
02:18when suddenly, at a distance of just 3 km from the hospital,
02:20there was a commotion in the plastic bag.
02:22Seeing the commotion, Aashish Kumar and his father, Kailash, couldn't breathe.
02:25Fearfully, Kailash opened the bag and saw that the ground had slipped under his feet.
02:29One of the twins was still alive.
02:32And if we don't talk about the condition he was in, then it's better.
02:36We saw that in the package, which was packed in a parcel,
02:42we felt some commotion in it.
02:44We saw that there was some commotion or some activities going on in it.
02:47So when we opened the parcel, we saw that the child was breathing.
02:52Without any delay, Kailash and Aashish,
02:55both took the children in the plastic bag to a nearby hospital.
02:59One of the twins was found dead, but the other was still alive.
03:03The child who was still alive, was kept on a ventilator for 5 days.
03:07After that, that child also died on that ventilator.
03:10Similarly, 1.5 years ago,
03:12there was an incident in a Loknayak hospital under the Delhi government.
03:15A woman named Rukhsar, who was 7 months pregnant,
03:18was admitted for 2 days.
03:20After being admitted for 2 days, on 19th February, her child was delivered.
03:23Immediately after the delivery, the doctor diagnosed the child as dead.
03:26You won't believe that the hospital put the child in a plastic bag
03:30and sealed it like this.
03:32Poor parents took the child home for the funeral.
03:35To bury the child, the family had dug a grave.
03:38When they opened the bag, they were shocked
03:40because the child was alive and was waiting to be released.
03:42The family took the child to the same hospital as soon as possible,
03:45but the hospital refused to admit the child.
03:49Think about it, the doctors whom we consider as God,
03:51some of them are Yamraj.
03:53And the hospitals whose structure and structure look like heaven,
03:56have actually become a place to take the child to heaven.
03:58In today's 3D animated video,
04:00we will cover big-level, but secretly happening hospital scams.
04:04We will discuss such real-life incidents,
04:06which will help us understand how these scams are being executed.
04:09And most importantly, we will also understand
04:10how you can save yourself and your family from these scams.
04:14But like every time, let's start from the beginning.
04:16In 2021, a journal called Asian Journal of Management and Commerce
04:20submitted a report on increasing healthcare frauds in India.
04:23According to this report, 40% of hospital scams in India
04:27are done in government hospitals,
04:29and the remaining 60% of scams are done in private hospitals.
04:32The main reason for this increasing healthcare fraud
04:34is to target those who have taken health insurance.
04:37Carefully understand what exactly happens in a hospital.
04:39Imagine, there is a situation
04:41where there is a patient with this person A,
04:43and they go to the hospital to get him treated.
04:46At the hospital reception, they are asked
04:48whether this patient has health insurance or not.
04:50If this person A says no,
04:52then they are safe.
04:54But if this person A says that
04:56yes, this patient has health insurance,
04:58then understand that this patient is going to get a wad.
05:00If you have seen the movie Gabbar is Back,
05:02then you must be able to relate
05:04what I am trying to say.
05:05In such cases, the insurance company
05:07has to bear the expenses of the patient with health insurance.
05:09That's why the patient doesn't think much
05:11during diagnosis and treatment.
05:13And the hospital takes advantage of this.
05:15For example, if a patient has a stomach ache,
05:17then they will ask him to undergo various tests.
05:19Because the more the tests,
05:21the more the benefit for the hospital.
05:23The more the bill, the more the money.
05:25The problem is that the patients
05:27don't take this seriously with the thought that
05:29the money will go to the insurance company.
05:31What do we have?
05:33Even if the money goes to the insurance company,
05:35there is a hole in the insurance policy.
05:37To solve this scam,
05:39the hospital gives birth to another scam.
05:41And that is the admission scam.
05:43Admission scam means
05:45admitting a patient without any need.
05:47I will tell you a real incident
05:49related to both these scams.
05:51How people are being forced to admit
05:53under the pretext of insurance policy
05:55and money is being collected from them.
05:57It starts from February 5, 2020
05:59when Himanshu Singhal took his child
06:01to a famous hospital in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi.
06:03Something happened that
06:05the child was admitted in a routine condition.
06:08There was no emergency situation.
06:10The doctor checked up the child
06:12and asked him if he had medical insurance.
06:14As soon as Himanshu said yes,
06:16the doctor advised him to be admitted.
06:18The child could have been cured with some medicines.
06:20The child was admitted immediately
06:22and was taken for a blood test.
06:24After being admitted,
06:26the hospital started planning
06:28how to stop the child for as long as possible.
06:30To carry out this planning,
06:32some more tests were also done on February 6.
06:33To prolong the child's stay for as long as possible.
06:37Shockingly, the doctor who was doing the tests
06:39saw the child from a distance
06:41and said that there were cuts in the child's anal area.
06:43Meaning, there were fissures.
06:45Without thinking twice,
06:47he gave him an order to give him a medicine called Movicol.
06:49Now, this Movicol is a contraindicated medicine.
06:51He prescribed a contraindicated medicine
06:53which is called Movicol
06:55which is used to increase loose motions.
07:03Contraindicated medicine is a medicine
07:05which makes an existing health complication more severe
07:09or increases it.
07:11For example, imagine that you are allergic to peanuts.
07:14And if someone gives you a peanut butter sandwich,
07:16it can prove fatal for you.
07:18The same thing was done on the child.
07:20Because Movicol is given to cure constipation.
07:23Meaning, Movicol also creates loose motions.
07:26That's why the child's condition worsened.
07:29The hospital staff didn't stop here.
07:30They directly injected the medicine into the child's veins.
07:39The child's body was so dehydrated
07:41that he went into a severe shock stage.
07:43And he had to be shifted to the ICU immediately.
07:45In some time, the child's liver started failing.
07:47To hide his mistake,
07:49the hospital staff asked Himanshu Singhal
07:51to be taken to another branch of the same hospital.
07:53The hospital staff also started pressurizing
07:55to get the child's liver transplanted.
07:57Unfortunately, after 4 days of admission,
07:58the 2.5-year-old child died due to the greed of the hospital staff.
08:02Moreover, let me tell you another ground reality of this admission scan.
08:05Let's assume that you were admitted to the hospital on Thursday.
08:08Now understand these days carefully.
08:10The doctor advised you to stay under observation and treatment for 3 days.
08:13And said that you will be fine by Saturday.
08:15And you can go home on that day.
08:17But these hospital staff will not discharge you on Saturday
08:19by giving some excuse.
08:21Because there is a holiday on Sunday.
08:23That is, the hospital is closed on Sunday.
08:25That's why the discharge process is not done on Sunday.
08:26That is, you will have to stay there on Sunday.
08:29And you will get a holiday on Monday.
08:31And in the same way, the hospital's one-day payment will also be made.
08:34This is just one way.
08:36The hospital staff does not fool the general public in this way.
08:39Instead, they have made a whole list called
08:41How to fool a patient.
08:43I will explain this list in more detail later.
08:45Listen and understand each point carefully.
08:47Because the best way to avoid these scams is
08:49that you become aware of them.
08:51Now remember that after entering the hospital,
08:53you can be a victim of not one but a total of 8 types of scams.
08:56Look at the list of these scams once.
08:58The first scam was Insurance Policy Scam.
09:00And the second was Admission Scam.
09:02Apart from this, the third scam is Sync Test Scam.
09:04The fourth scam is Medicine Scam.
09:06The fifth is Overpricing Scam.
09:08The sixth is Pregnancy Scam.
09:10The seventh is Clinical Trials Scam.
09:12And the last is a scam that forces you to undergo surgery.
09:14Unnecessary Surgeries Scam.
09:16We have talked about Insurance and Admission Scams in detail.
09:18Now let's understand the following scams.
09:20And let's start with Sync Test Scam.
09:23Now you will also agree that in many cases,
09:24as soon as you step into a private hospital,
09:26you become an ATM machine
09:28and a cashier at the hospital
09:30who only takes money.
09:32Suppose you have a cough and cold.
09:34You go to a private hospital to consult a doctor.
09:36Now private hospitals have to make their money, right?
09:38So where you may need only one test,
09:40the doctor gives you a list of 50 types of tests
09:43which have nothing to do with the disease.
09:46And these unnecessary extra tests
09:48become the base for the next scam for the hospital.
09:51That is Sync Test Scam.
09:52Anyway, you happily write down so many tests
09:55and go to give your blood sample.
09:57The lab guy also sees your list
09:59and takes out 4-5 colored blood vials.
10:01You give your blood and wait for the report.
10:04Now see carefully what happens inside the lab.
10:06The hospital knows that you only needed one test.
10:09And they have already made the report by doing that test.
10:12But you had taken more blood in the name of the test, right?
10:15Which is still filled in these colorful vials.
10:17So what will be done with this?
10:19The blood in all these bottles is dropped in the sink like this.
10:22And a fake report is made.
10:24In short, your blood is tested in the sink.
10:26Or in other words,
10:28you take blood, drop it in the sink
10:30and generate a fake report and give it.
10:32I am not saying this.
10:34But the famous heart doctor of the country,
10:36BM Hegde has publicly revealed this scam.
10:38Dr. BM Hegde has also received
10:40the prestigious award of the country, Padma Vibhushan.
10:42Dr. BM Hegde had also published
10:44some of his observations in 2015.
10:46In which he had said that
10:48to please the hospital management
10:50and to fill their pockets,
10:52doctors are performing unethical practices.
10:54And the sink test is also a part of this big game plan.
10:57Anyways, to earn money,
10:59doctors write such tests
11:01which have nothing to do with your disease.
11:03But one more thing that doctors do
11:05is to write setting medicines.
11:07Setting medicine means that
11:09the doctor will write the medicine
11:11on which he is getting the most commission.
11:13Suppose you have been feeling sick for a few weeks
11:15and you go to a hospital near you.
11:17There you show it to a well-known doctor.
11:19Because a lot of patients used to come to that doctor,
11:20that this doctor will cure you quickly.
11:22The doctor did a check-up
11:24and got some tests done.
11:26After the reports came,
11:28the doctor told you that you have an infection.
11:30And for its treatment,
11:32he wrote medicines for a week.
11:34When you went to the medicine shop,
11:36you came to know that the doctor has given only branded medicines
11:38which are very expensive.
11:40At night, you talked to a friend
11:42who used to work in a medicine company.
11:44As soon as you heard the names of the medicines,
11:46your friend told you that
11:48these are top-tier branded medicines.
11:50And what are generic medicines?
11:52So understand carefully.
11:54When a company researches and makes a medicine,
11:56it takes its patent.
11:58Patent means a right
12:00which is given to make a new product.
12:02Moreover, the patent given to make a new medicine
12:04is only valid for 20 years.
12:06So in these 20 years,
12:08no other company can make the same medicine.
12:10These medicines are called branded medicines.
12:12Because of spending time and money on research,
12:14these branded medicines are very costly.
12:16Its best example is Crocin,
12:18which is a medicine for fever
12:20As soon as these 20 years are completed,
12:22any company can make that medicine.
12:24Because now the research of that medicine
12:26is publicly available,
12:28so these companies don't have to spend money on research.
12:30By copying the formula of the original medicine,
12:32new medicines are made.
12:34It is also important that
12:36these have the same chemicals.
12:38When there is no money in research,
12:40these medicines are also cheap.
12:42That's why these medicines are called generic medicines.
12:44For example, if you have fever,
12:46the doctor gives you this medicine called Paracetamol,
12:48which is a generic medicine.
12:50All these medicines work the same
12:52and are made from the same chemical composition.
12:54The only difference is that
12:56branded medicines are a little expensive
12:58because its name is famous
13:00and it took a lot of money to make it.
13:02Now it happens that these big brands
13:04give commissions to doctors to sell their medicines.
13:06This commission can be in cash
13:08and can also be in the form of AC, TV, mobile,
13:10or in the form of a trip.
13:12In fact, the Health Ministry has repeatedly advised
13:14doctors with the help of the Press Information Bureau
13:16that instead of writing branded medicines,
13:18they should write generic medicines.
13:20This scam was launched on the same day.
13:22Still, not all doctors are God.
13:24At the end of the day,
13:26money matters to many people.
13:28You must have understood the reason
13:30that despite taking out so many government circulars,
13:32why is the ghost of writing branded medicines on doctors?
13:34This medicine scam
13:36is running at a very high level in our country.
13:38Now see, where hospitals do the biggest business
13:40is on the prices of medicines.
13:42Let's understand this weapon of loot
13:44and let's go inside this game and see.
13:46This scam can also be done in two ways.
13:48First, by increasing the rates of medicines
13:50and secondly, by charging the price.
13:52We will understand both categories one by one
13:54and start with the category of increased rates.
13:56Have you ever gone to a doctor
13:58to show yourself
14:00and you had to buy the medicines
14:02he prescribed from that hospital?
14:04Technically, whatever medicines the doctor prescribes,
14:06the patient can buy them from anywhere.
14:08But most of the times, hospitals don't allow him to do so.
14:10This is against the law
14:12but most of the times, this happens.
14:14In fact, when the doctor prescribes medicines in your wallet,
14:16he rings the bell and calls his assistant.
14:18This assistant takes your wallet
14:20and takes you to the same destination
14:22that is the pharmacy of the hospital
14:24where they forcefully prescribe medicines to you.
14:26Understand why this happens.
14:28Whenever the hospital deals with a company
14:30that makes medicines,
14:32they check which company's medicine
14:34has the highest price
14:36and which medicine has the highest profit margin.
14:38And finally, that medicine is chosen.
14:40For example, a company made a medicine for fever
14:42which costed him Rs 1.
14:44Now this company will go to the hospital
14:46and tell them to buy the medicine for Rs 1.5.
14:48But there is a catch here.
14:50The medicine will be set by the hospital.
14:52To get the maximum profit from the hospital,
14:54the MRP of the medicine will be Rs 7.
14:56This means that the medicine for Rs 1.5
14:58will cost the patient Rs 7.
15:00This means that the hospital will get
15:02a huge profit on this medicine.
15:04In fact, the MRP of the medicine
15:06that is available in the hospital
15:08can be different from the medicine
15:10that is available outside the hospital.
15:12In a reported survey,
15:14the medicine that was being sold for Rs 858
15:16was sold for Rs 710
15:18when it was bought from outside the hospital.
15:20You can see how the hospital
15:22is cheating its patients.
15:24Now if we talk about the second case,
15:26that is, to add the price of anything to the bill,
15:28then let's understand this from a real incident.
15:30Look, it was on 31 August 2017
15:32when a 7-year-old girl, Adhya Singh
15:34was admitted to a famous hospital in Delhi
15:36for dengue treatment.
15:38The treatment started.
15:40Everything was going well.
15:42But suddenly on the 5th day,
15:44Adhya's health started deteriorating
15:46and the condition got so bad
15:48that Adhya had to take ventilator.
15:50A medical journal did a study on survival
15:52on ventilator in 2019.
15:54According to which,
15:5637% of adult patients
15:58and 17% of child patients
16:00are unable to survive on ventilator.
16:02Even the general perception is that
16:04after going on ventilator,
16:06the chances of survival are very low.
16:08Anyway, after being kept on ventilator,
16:10the hospital staff stopped giving information
16:12to Adhya's parents.
16:14In fact, despite the parents' repeated requests,
16:16the hospital staff was not sharing
16:18any report of Adhya's survival.
16:20Adhya died.
16:22Adhya's father Jayant Singh
16:24was given a bill of Rs. 16 lakhs.
16:26Seeing the bill,
16:28Jayant Singh lost his senses
16:30because according to the bill,
16:32he was given 660 syringes
16:34i.e. 40 injections every day.
16:36Apart from this,
16:38the blood test which is done in Rs. 70,
16:40the hospital staff charged Rs. 5400
16:42from Jayant Singh.
16:44And the limit was reached
16:46when in this 15-day treatment,
16:48Rs. 2700 gloves
16:50and 660 syringes
16:52were added to the bill.
16:54A thermometer
16:56and even the hospital gown
16:58Adhya was dressed in
17:00was charged from the family.
17:02Now you must be able to understand
17:04how the hospital staff
17:06are fooling people and running their business.
17:08Look, whenever a woman goes for her delivery,
17:10she has two options.
17:12The first option is normal delivery
17:14and the second option is C-section
17:16or operation delivery.
17:18When a woman gives birth to her child,
17:20in the case of normal delivery,
17:22the pregnant woman pushes the child
17:24out of her vagina.
17:26In this process,
17:28the brain plays an important role.
17:30This is the brain
17:32and this is the hypothalamus
17:34and this is the pituitary gland.
17:36During delivery,
17:38this hypothalamus sends a signal
17:40to release a hormone called oxytocin.
17:42As soon as the signal is received,
17:44the pituitary gland starts releasing oxytocin.
17:46This oxytocin comes from the blood
17:48to the female's uterus
17:50and this process takes
17:5212-24 hours.
17:54On the other hand,
17:56in the case of C-section delivery,
17:58the uterus is cut due to a complication
18:00so that the child can be taken out.
18:02For this, a cut is made on the uterus
18:04by removing 7 layers.
18:06Then the doctor removes the layers
18:08and the child is safely taken out.
18:11The wound is so deep
18:13that it takes a long time to heal.
18:15And yes, it is also important
18:17that in the whole process of C-section delivery,
18:18it takes only 45 minutes.
18:20Now the thing to note here is that
18:22C-section delivery happens in a short time
18:24but its cost is very high
18:26compared to normal delivery.
18:28And this is the reason
18:30that the hospital always wants
18:32that most of the women
18:34should not have normal delivery
18:36and their money should continue.
18:38You will also agree that
18:40the natural process of the body
18:42is good for a woman
18:44and her baby's health.
18:46But doctors push that woman
18:48to do C-section
18:50as her baby has already had an abortion
18:52or her baby is stuck
18:54in the umbilical cord
18:56etc.
18:58Seeing their child at risk,
19:00any parent gets ready for C-section.
19:02But yes, it is not that
19:04doctors are always lying.
19:06In some cases, it is true.
19:08But you will be shocked to hear
19:10that out of the total deliveries in India,
19:1221.5% are C-section deliveries.
19:14And the rate of C-section deliveries
19:16in women and private hospitals
19:18is 10-15%.
19:20This means that
19:22out of the two deliveries
19:24in private hospitals,
19:26only one is C-section.
19:28According to the WHO,
19:30the ideal rate of C-section
19:32is 10-15%.
19:34And that too should only be
19:36in complicated cases.
19:38Just think,
19:40how many women's lives
19:42are being put at risk
19:44just to make money.
19:46Let me tell you
19:48that the tests suggested by the doctor
19:50were all done by Sakshi.
19:52And all the reports were correct.
20:00We all know that
20:02a normal pregnancy
20:04takes 40 weeks or 9 months.
20:06But for some reason,
20:08in the 37th week,
20:10the doctor forced Sakshi
20:12to do C-section delivery.
20:14The doctor said that
20:16children's lives are at risk
20:18because Sakshi was born
20:20before 9 months.
20:22That's why she was kept in a special unit.
20:24Everything was going well
20:26but suddenly Sakshi's health started deteriorating.
20:28Her blood pressure started rising
20:30and her face turned red
20:32and then black.
20:37The nurse there
20:39didn't take this situation seriously
20:41and said that this is normal.
20:43Moreover, the doctor
20:45who was treating Sakshi
20:46didn't come to see her
20:48even after 30 hours of the surgery.
20:50The infection was getting so severe
20:52that Sakshi's stomach started swelling
20:54because she hadn't passed urine
20:56even after the surgery.
20:58When the doctor came after 30 hours,
21:00he said in a chill mode
21:02that give her fruity,
21:04everything will be fine.
21:11The situation got worse
21:13and the doctor thought
21:14to take Sakshi to another hospital.
21:16Unfortunately, while reaching there,
21:18Sakshi died.
21:20A similar incident happened
21:22with TV actress Chhavi Mittal.
21:24Chhavi Mittal told her doctor
21:26that she wanted to do
21:28a normal delivery.
21:30The doctor said yes.
21:44Chhavi started having liver pain
21:46and she went to the hospital
21:48where her doctor told her.
21:50But the hospital staff
21:52put an injection on Chhavi.
22:05The injection was
22:07an injection of Oxytocin hormone.
22:09I told you that Oxytocin
22:11is released in the body
22:12which helps the delivery
22:14of a child easily.
22:16Now you must be thinking
22:18why did they inject Oxytocin?
22:20Natural delivery takes time
22:22and the money is also less.
22:24But doctors are in a hurry.
22:26That's why the doctors
22:28inject Oxytocin to produce
22:30the liver faster.
22:32Oxytocin in the body
22:34increases so much
22:36that the female starts
22:38having severe liver pain.
22:40Shockingly, the pain is so severe
22:42and the same thing happened
22:44with Chhavi Mittal.
22:46The hospital staff
22:48want you to choose
22:50C-section delivery
22:52instead of normal delivery
22:54so that they can make
22:56as much money as possible.
22:58Oxytocin is also used
23:00to produce more milk
23:02and to increase
23:04the size of fruits and vegetables.
23:06This Oxytocin
23:08can disturb the natural
23:10hormone levels of the body.
23:12It can even cause
23:14a dangerous disease like cancer.
23:16Studies also suggest that
23:18children born with C-section
23:20are more likely to have cancer
23:22than those who are born
23:24with normal delivery.
23:26I have explained this concept
23:28in my recent cancer video.
23:30Anyways, if you have seen
23:32the web series Human in 2022,
23:34then you must remember
23:36that this series showed
23:38how hospitals perform
23:40clinical trials
23:42on patients
23:44because of which
23:46people are losing their lives.
23:48A lot of people
23:50benefited from this trial.
23:52S93R is not a drug,
23:54it is a poison.
23:56In simple words,
23:58clinical trials are tests
24:00that prove a new medicine
24:02to be safe and effective.
24:04These tests show
24:06that this new medicine
24:08can help people
24:10without any side effects.
24:12But in our country,
24:14such secret clinical trials
24:16are being conducted
24:18without any restrictions.
24:20Even if a person dies,
24:22the business of earning money
24:24should not stop.
24:26A real case of this secret
24:28clinical trial came out
24:30in 2010.
24:32Before understanding this case,
24:34take a look at the female
24:36reproductive organ.
24:38This is the uterus
24:40and this is the vagina.
24:42There is no cure for cancer
24:44but to prevent the cancer
24:46in the cervical lining,
24:48a vaccine is given to women
24:50which is called HPV.
24:52Now listen to what happened
24:54in 2009.
24:56About 16,000 girls
24:58in a government hostel
25:00in Andhra Pradesh
25:02were given this HPV vaccine.
25:04There was no problem
25:06in giving the vaccine.
25:08The problem was
25:10in the way the permission
25:12for the vaccine was given
25:14and some girls died.
25:16Listen to another real incident
25:18of this clinical trial.
25:20This is Rajasthan.
25:22This is Churu district
25:24and this is Jaipur district.
25:26In 2018,
25:2819 people were brought
25:30from Churu to Jaipur.
25:32They were told that
25:34there is a medical camp
25:36in Jaipur
25:38where they will be given
25:40some money and
25:42a doctor comes there
25:44and says that
25:46you are being given
25:48some medicines.
25:50They were given
25:52medicines for 9 days.
25:54These 19 people
25:56were sleeping
25:58and were in pain.
26:00Even after 9 days
26:02when the pain didn't subside
26:04they complained.
26:06When the investigation
26:08started on this issue
26:10it was found that
26:12according to a report
26:14by Thomson Routers Foundation
26:1666.8% of uterus removal surgeries
26:18are being done
26:20in private hospitals.
26:2295% of these surgeries
26:24are unnecessary.
26:26According to this report
26:28these surgeries are being done
26:30in young age and
26:32peak reproductive age.
26:34This means that
26:36when a woman's body
26:38is in a healthy state
26:39according to the National Family Health Survey
26:41published in 2020
26:433.3% of women's uterus
26:45have been removed
26:47in the last 15-49 years.
26:49You must be able to understand
26:51how critical the situation is.
26:53Another real incident
26:55of this unnecessary surgery.
26:57In 2010,
26:59Sabiha Hamid,
27:01who lives in Bareilly,
27:03was admitted to Dr. M Khan Hospital
27:05to get her children delivered.
27:07The hospital people
27:09said that Sabiha's condition was normal.
27:11After the check-up,
27:13the doctor advised her
27:15to get a C-section.
27:17But Sabiha's family and husband
27:19did not consent.
27:21Sabiha was taken to the labor room
27:23and shifted to the operation theatre.
27:25Sabiha was given some injections
27:27and she fainted.
27:29After that, the doctors
27:31delivered her C-section without consent.
27:33Finally, the hospital people
27:35were ready to make money.
27:37After discharge,
27:39Sabiha was told that
27:41the pain was due to the operation
27:43and that she would be fine in a few days.
27:45Day by day, the pain was increasing
27:47and the doctors were unable
27:49to find a solution.
27:51Finally, Sabiha was admitted
27:53to a hospital in Lucknow.
27:55After investigation,
27:57it was found that
27:59there was a bundle of cotton
28:01in her abdomen
28:03that was causing the pain.
28:05Anyways, apart from the C-section
28:07and uterus removal,
28:09the hospital people also perform
28:11wrong surgeries.
28:13The wrong surgery means
28:15that the patient went for
28:17another part of the operation
28:19but the doctor performed
28:21another part of the operation.
28:23The doctors were like,
28:25let's remove this and this.
28:27Listen to a real incident related to this.
28:29On 23rd June, 2023,
28:31Hari Mohan and his wife
28:33took their 2.5 year old son
28:35to Dr. M Khan Hospital in Bareilly.
28:37The reason for this was
28:39the condition where
28:41a child's tongue is stuck
28:43which reduces the movement of the tongue.
28:45Look at this tongue
28:47and now look at this tongue.
28:49You can see that
28:51the movement of the tongue
28:53stops because of
28:55the extra fibre between
28:57the tongue and the abdomen.
28:59Normally, we don't have this extra fibre.
29:01Due to this extra fibre,
29:03the child can't speak properly
29:05and starts stammering.
29:07To cure this,
29:09just before the surgery,
29:11the hospital gave Hari Mohan some papers
29:13which were written in English.
29:15Since Hari Mohan didn't know English,
29:17he told this to the doctor
29:19and asked what was written in the papers.
29:21The doctor denied this
29:23and told him to just sign it.
29:25The operation was done
29:27and the child was shifted to the ward.
29:29After some time,
29:31when the 2.5 year old child started feeling hot,
29:33his mother opened the clothes of the child.
29:35As soon as she opened the clothes,
29:37his mother's eyes burst.
29:39Due to this,
29:41the license of Dr. M Khan Hospital
29:43was suspended.
30:00Now, a big question arises here
30:02that why is this happening?
30:04There are two main reasons behind this.
30:06First, there is no strict monitoring of the body
30:07and secondly,
30:09there is no awareness among the people.
30:11We will explain both the reasons one by one.
30:13But let's start with the strict monitoring of the body.
30:15This is the Medical Council of India,
30:17which is the top medical body in India.
30:19Its job is to keep an eye on the ethical behaviour
30:21of people related to medical education
30:23and medical professionals.
30:25But this body
30:27fails to perform its duties properly.
30:29In 2016,
30:31the government formed a committee
30:33to review the working mechanism
30:35of the Medical Council of India.
30:37The committee clearly stated that
30:39the Medical Council of India
30:41forgets the official work
30:43and only licenses the medical colleges.
30:45In fact, the medical ethics
30:47is being completely ignored.
30:49Moreover, people in India
30:51have a lot of faith in Quacks
30:53and in small diseases,
30:55they prefer to go to such doctors.
30:57Before proceeding further,
30:59let's understand this concept of Quacks
31:01with the help of a real incident.
31:03In Annau district of Uttar Pradesh,
31:05a shocking incident happened
31:07which you can see on the cycle.
31:09This is Rajesh Yadav.
31:11Rajesh claims to treat people
31:13and calls his treatment
31:15a magical treatment.
31:17This magical treatment includes
31:19three tablets and one injection.
31:28The most dangerous thing
31:30about this magical treatment
31:32is that this doctor washes
31:34the syringes used in this injection
31:36I hope we all know this fact
31:38that one syringe should not be used
31:40again and again.
31:42But maybe this doctor thought
31:44that syringes are also like clothes,
31:46just wash it and wear it again.
31:48This person gave injection to all people
31:50with the same syringe
31:52due to which about 33 people
31:54got dangerous diseases like HIV AIDS.
32:02When it comes to awareness,
32:03you must have also noted
32:05that many pharmacists
32:07also work as doctors.
32:09Since people do not have
32:11much awareness,
32:13they prefer to take medicines
32:15from these chemists.
32:17According to the rules of
32:19Medical Council of India,
32:21a chemist can neither prescribe
32:23nor practice any medicine.
32:25This means that he cannot work
32:27as a doctor.
32:29In Delhi, a 2-year-old girl,
32:31Muskaan, is sick due to fever and cold.
32:33She went to the doctor
32:35and the chemist asked her
32:37why she had to go to the doctor
32:39in such a small disease.
32:41He gave an injection to the girl
32:43and after 10 minutes,
32:45the girl became cold and fainted.
32:47Immediately, the parents took her
32:49to the hospital where she was declared dead.
32:51To avoid all these hospital scams,
32:53one thing you can do is
32:55that whenever you are asked
32:57about medical insurance in the hospital,
32:59you should refuse for once.
33:01Until your diagnosis is correct,
33:03you should not tell
33:05that you have medical insurance.
33:07You must have already understood
33:09that diagnosis also depends on
33:11how much money you want to withdraw.
33:13In the cases where there is no emergency,
33:15you should get diagnosed from 3-4 places
33:17so that you can find out
33:19the correct disease.
33:21One more thing you can do is
33:23keep a doctor in your life
33:25so that he can guide you correctly
33:27and you can avoid getting stuck
33:29in such scams.
33:31Apart from this,
33:33you will also get the details
33:35for which you have been charged.
33:37Like doctor's fees, test charges,
33:39medicines, and treatments.
33:41Every item has its own code
33:43which tells you
33:45which services you have taken
33:47and how much money
33:49you have been charged for those services.
33:51Sometimes, there are medicines
33:53and things in your hospital bed table.
33:55Generally, it is locked
33:57but still the hospital people
33:59deposit the money in your bill.
34:01It's okay.
34:03If the hospital people do such a thing,
34:05then you should object
34:07and remove that item from your bill.
34:09Do you have the right?
34:11Anyway, I agree that
34:13maximum doctors are not scammers.
34:15But the scammers are
34:17the unethical doctors
34:19who are ruining the reputation
34:21of the entire doctor community.
34:23Doctors should understand
34:25their moral responsibility
34:27and treat their patients
34:28with respect.
34:30And the most important part,
34:32to avoid all these hospital scams,
34:34you don't have to be a doctor
34:36but you have to be smart.
