00:00Good morning from the Weather Forecasting Center, this is our update on the weather for the next 24 hours.

00:10We can see here in our latest satellite images, the thick clouds affecting the southern portion of our country

00:18is the continuous effect of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

00:22This is the accumulation of wind from the northern and southern hemispheres.

00:26The ITCZ is currently moving to a large part of Visayas and Mindanao.

00:32So for the next 24 hours, we expect a high chance of clouds and heavy rains,

00:38floods and landslides in a large part of southern Luzon, Visayas and the northern portion of Mindanao.

00:45For Metro Manila and the rest of the country, we expect that it will be clear for the time being.

00:49It will only be accompanied by isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms.

00:54At the moment, we are not monitoring any low-pressure areas or bad weather

00:59inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:04As for the location of our weather today in Luzon,

01:09due to the effect of the ITCZ, we expect a high chance of rain today,

01:13cloudy conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in the area of Bicol Region.

01:19For Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon,

01:21it will continue to be hot and humid this morning until the afternoon.

01:25But we also expect the chance of sudden and rapid rain showers

01:30that will be followed by thunderstorms in the late afternoon to evening.

01:35Maximum temperature forecast for the area today is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius,

01:4133 degrees in the part of Tuguegarao and 24 degrees Celsius in Baguio City.

01:46Maximum temperature forecast for Metro Manila today is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius,

01:5232 degrees in the part of Legazpi and 32 degrees Celsius in Takaytay.

01:58As for the areas of Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao,

02:02due to the ITCZ, we also expect a high chance of rain showers today

02:08in Palawan, Visayas and the western and northern portion of Mindanao

02:14regions of Zamboanga Peninsula, northern Mindanao and Caragas.

02:18As for these areas, we should be prepared for the possible chances of landslides

02:23especially if the rain showers will continue.

02:26For the rest of Mindanao, the southern portion of Mindanao,

02:30it is clear in the time that we expect today,

02:32but there are early morning thunderstorms forecast in the area of Davao Region.

02:39We expect that for the remainder of the day,

02:43the weather will be clearer.

02:46It is possible that there will be sudden and rapid rain showers

02:49from late afternoon to evening.

02:52Maximum temperature forecast for Calayan Islands and Puerto Princesa today

02:56is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius,

02:5932 degrees in the areas of Iloilo and Cebu,

03:02and 31 degrees Celsius in the part of Tacloban.

03:06Maximum temperature forecast for Cagayan de Oro today

03:09is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius,

03:1132 degrees in the part of Davao,

03:13and 33 degrees Celsius in the area of Zamboanga.

03:17As for the sea conditions,

03:19there are no high gale warnings in any of our nearby islands.

03:23Our fellow fishermen should still be careful,

03:26especially here in the northern and central seaboards,

03:30here in the northern and central zone,

03:33in the seaboards of the northern and central zone,

03:35because it is still possible for us to experience

03:37moderate to strong sea conditions.

03:39These are the conditions up to the high seas.

03:43And this is our 3-day forecast for the next few days.

03:47So until tomorrow, we are still expecting

03:49a high chance of thunderstorms and rain.

03:53ITCZ has already brought it to the areas of Bicol Region and the entire Visayas.

03:57But in the area of Mindanao,

03:58these rains will decrease,

04:00especially here in the area of northern Mindanao.

04:03We are expecting fair weather conditions

04:05in a large part of Mindanao,

04:07as well as in Metro Manila and the rest of the zone.

04:10And the rains will decrease until Monday to Tuesday,

04:14October 7 to 8.

04:16ITCZ will still bring it to a large part of Visayas and Mindanao,

04:20but the rains will decrease.

04:22So we are expecting fair weather conditions

04:24in a large part of our country.

04:26Even so, it is still possible for us to experience

04:29thunderstorms,

04:31especially in the afternoon and evening.

04:35And the sunny days here in the Philippines

04:37will be popular later at 5.46 a.m.

04:40and will be down later at 5.43 p.m.
