00:00:00Hello friends, welcome to Friday night live with Hongki episode 176.
00:00:08Yeah, happy Friday.
00:00:10Now, it's Friday so let's do some dancing.
00:00:15Okay.
00:00:31And the jellyfish dancing.
00:00:57How about tree dancing?
00:01:01Cool.
00:01:09Good.
00:01:11Five minutes break please, thank you.
00:01:14Yeah, dancing, very good exercise.
00:01:18Ah, nice.
00:01:22How healthy this is.
00:01:24And open.

00:08:14Yeah.
00:08:15Yeah.
00:08:16Yeah.
00:08:17Yeah.
00:08:18Start early there.
00:08:19Yeah.
00:08:20It's good idea.
00:08:21Yeah.
00:08:22Yeah.
00:08:23Yeah.
00:08:24Because now the security you got more security service, so I'm sure you'll be saved this
00:08:29time.
00:08:30Yeah.
00:08:31That's smart.
00:08:32That's creative.
00:08:33Yeah.
00:08:34Look, Trump, he has many virtues.
00:08:35Yeah, creative he has.
00:08:36Some okay?
00:08:37Yeah.
00:08:38Maybe his employee's idea, I don't know.
00:08:40But he has some creative, okay, Trump.
00:08:43president again because he's too dishonest, too immoral, okay? But he has some virtues,
00:08:51okay? Like, creatively. Sure, sure. Yeah, but he's too immoral, dishonest to be president, okay?
00:09:01Okay? And also he has bad ideas like tariff. He had, he wants to deport illegal immigrants,
00:09:10all that stuff. He hates foreign countries, whatever. Yeah, yeah, so I don't want him to
00:09:14be president, okay? Yeah, but he has some creativity. I appreciate it, okay? Okay.
00:09:19Now, let's get back to mathematics. Let's look at the Euclidean algorithm, okay? Yeah, short screen.
00:09:27Okay. Okay. Because instead of subtracting two numbers, two input numbers, you know,
00:09:46I think it's like, actually, like, let's say two numbers, A and B, okay? Actually,
00:09:50I think enhanced Euclidean algorithm is A minus B and A. I think it's like A rho B
00:10:00and B instead of A minus B and B, okay? So,
00:10:03okay? Yeah, but A minus B, that's original. I think they enhanced it, okay? So,
00:10:26I'm going to recall a little bit, okay? Yeah, let me get some terms.
00:10:28Okay.
00:10:59So,
00:11:08what drink?
00:11:13How about the,
00:11:15the,
00:11:36if I'm going to just review this, it'll be boring, okay? Yeah, cheers. Let's wait a little bit.
00:11:45So,
00:11:54yeah, there we go. Remember, right? Yeah, good, good, good. A rho B, okay? Instead of A minus B.
00:12:24Okay. Okay.
00:12:47Yes. So, there have been some improvement from original Euclidean algorithm. Okay, good.
00:12:52Yeah, in 1800s, 1900s. Sure.
00:13:22Okay. Yeah, that's kind of what I remembered. Okay, good, good. Awesome. Okay.
00:13:37That's cool. Now,
00:13:46let's grab whiteboard.
00:13:52So, I have some tentative solution to the circularity problem that we discovered yesterday.
00:14:01It's like this. It's kind of artificial intelligence, like an artificial neural network.
00:14:07Yeah, you have the training set, and to train this artificial neural network, it's basically
00:14:15linear programming on equation. So, artificial neural network, yeah. For example, protein
00:14:22folding, okay? Traditionally, three-dimensional structure of a protein molecule was determined by
00:14:30X-ray crystallography, which is a very expensive procedure, okay? And yeah, that's like chemistry.
00:14:36Okay, yeah. And so, given protein sequence, amino acid sequence,
00:14:46what would be the three-dimensional structure of this protein? Okay, so that's protein folding
00:14:52problem, okay? Sure. And to simulate it in computer, like in silico, that's notoriously
00:15:02difficult problem. There's too many variables, too many computations required, okay?
00:15:08Temperature, pH of this solution, and pressure, whatever, okay?
00:15:16So, deduction, very difficult. Okay? So, artificial intelligence, that's induction,
00:15:23okay? So, to find like coefficient, okay, like
00:15:34let's say Y is equal to
00:15:38A1X1 plus A2X2, A3X3 plus blah, blah, blah, plus ANXN, something like that. I'm just
00:15:52giving you some example, okay? So, and through, okay, it's an n-dimensional plane, okay? And then
00:16:01if we have enough examples, then we can determine these coefficients, A1, A2, all the way to AN,
00:16:09okay? Yeah. So, that's kind of how like artificial neural network works, okay? So,
00:16:15yeah, to determine these coefficients of this linear equation, okay? Yeah. And
00:16:23after we find what the linear equation is, I mean, the coefficients are, and then input, no matter
00:16:30what input it may be, X1, X2, all the way to XN, then we know exactly what Y will be, okay?
00:16:40Because we determined what plane, n-dimensional plane this is. Then, yeah, we need n training sets,
00:16:50like n equations, n results, okay? This is the n,
00:16:59something like that. There's n variables, okay? We need n, the system of equations, okay? Yeah.
00:17:05Okay. Something like that. I'm kind of simplifying a little bit, okay? So,
00:17:12after we, okay, for example,
00:17:27let's think about a straight line, okay?
00:17:42So,
00:17:59well, we're going to simplify it, okay?
00:18:05So, this is a line that pass through the origin, like zero comma zero, straight line, okay?
00:18:16In order to find A1,
00:18:26what the slope of this one line, straight line is, we just need one example, okay?
00:18:35Let's say this is like one comma three, whatever, okay? I'm not, it's not to scale, but
00:18:44then what is A1? Yeah, three, okay? Now, Y is equal to A1
00:18:56X1 plus A2 X2. This is a plane that pass through origin in three-dimensional coordinates.
00:19:12There, we need two
00:19:14examples, okay? To find A1 and A2, okay? Yeah. Well, technically, in straight line, we need two
00:19:28points, but we already have zero comma zero, okay? And it will be just another point, okay?
00:19:33Here, yeah, zero comma zero comma zero, and two more points, it will define this plane, okay?
00:19:42And once we figure out what those A1 and A2 coefficients are, then we can find all the points,
00:19:50every single point, the infinitely many points in that plane, okay? And so, that's how artificial
00:19:59neural network, basically, simplified, okay? Now, that's what we are doing here. So, what we're
00:20:05doing here, it has meaning. Why? Because our plane is this. It kind of looks like cheating,
00:20:15okay? We already know what the greatest common divisors are, and then using that,
00:20:23we find basic coefficients, okay? But after we, it's kind of like cheating, yes, okay? We already
00:20:30know what GCD is, but after that, after we make enough examples, we will come up with
00:20:41formula for left-basic coefficient and right-basic coefficients
00:20:47that does not use greatest common divisor, okay? We'll use both induction and deduction. Induction
00:20:57meaning, yeah, kind of pattern recognition based on many, many examples.
00:21:05After we find pattern, yeah, we can come up with a formula,
00:21:11and that formula will not involve the pre-knowledge of greatest common divisor,
00:21:16okay? So, yeah. So, we're on the right track now. We're back on the track, okay? Yeah, good.
00:21:23Let's take five minutes for it, okay? Thank you. Yeah, how nice, huh? Good analysis there, yeah?
00:21:31Okay, five minutes, thank you.
00:21:37Very cool. Five minutes, thank you.
00:23:57All right. It's good that I'm majoring in computer science, okay? I know about artificial
00:24:03neural network, which is origination of artificial intelligence, I mean artificial
00:24:08neural networks, okay? Yeah. Frank Rothenblatt is a psychologist in Cornell. Okay, let's continue.
00:24:22Mm-hmm. Next page, number 15, okay? All right.
00:24:52Mm-hmm. Yeah.
00:25:07Well, let's review 14, number 14 case, okay?
00:25:22Mm-hmm. Happy Friday. Cheers.
00:25:32Mm-hmm.
00:25:41All right.
00:26:02Okay, so except for the very first one, which is always zero, right?
00:26:08So, okay, there are 14 numbers, so except for the very first one, 13 numbers, so 6, 1, 6.
00:26:16There's a symmetric pattern, okay? So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, then 1,
00:26:26and then 22, okay? Okay, so we don't need this.
00:26:33Yeah. So this is the fourth half, the latter half, kind of anti-symmetry, okay?
00:26:40Anti-polynomial, okay? So, okay, good. I'll be back. Number 14, 15 case, okay? Yeah. Cheers.
00:26:55Mm-hmm.
00:27:05We'll do all the way until base 20, okay? So, yeah. Okay.
00:27:24Mm-hmm.
00:27:54Okay.
00:28:18And so we have algorithm to find base coefficient, principle base coefficient, right?
00:28:23I mean, I've seen some other people's algorithm to find it,
00:28:28but that's not as easy as our algorithm. So we already made contribution to mathematics, okay?
00:28:35Because we discovered more efficient, easier algorithm to find base coefficient,
00:28:44principle base coefficient, okay? Cheers.
00:28:57It's still too close to me. I don't want it to be too close.
00:29:01Error.
00:29:17Okay. X is 4, X is 7.
00:29:32K is 1.
00:29:37We adopt minus 1, okay? Yeah.
00:29:42And then 7 times 17.
00:29:50Wow.
00:29:58Cheers.
00:30:01Mm-hmm.
00:30:01Mm-hmm.
00:30:24One more 9.
00:30:3815 times 8.
00:30:46There will be 120, okay? So minus 7, okay.
00:31:10Yeah. 18.
00:31:22Okay. 18.
00:31:40We adopt minus 3.
00:32:043. 4 times 17.
00:32:1768.
00:32:2415 times 5.
00:32:31Okay.
00:32:39We'll be 65.
00:32:54Mm-hmm.
00:33:01Cheers.
00:33:15It is tedious.
00:33:24Oops, I made a mistake.
00:33:31Okay.
00:33:37Yeah. 18 times 4.
00:34:0572.
00:34:08Then 15 times 5.
00:34:2675. Sure.
00:34:42Yeah. Cheers.
00:34:56Mm-hmm.
00:35:14Mm-hmm.
00:35:2616.
00:35:4419 times 4.
00:35:5776.
00:36:01And we're 15 times 5. 75.
00:36:07Okay.
00:36:18Mm-hmm.
00:36:20Cheers.
00:36:26Mm-hmm.
00:36:56Mm-hmm.
00:37:20Okay.
00:37:21Cheers.
00:37:33So, by the way, the way they calculate, like, benzene coefficients is kind of reverse engineering,
00:37:39reverse stepping the Euclidean algorithm, okay? So, but here,
00:37:45are we doing that? Not really, okay? Yeah, the way we do it, a lot more efficient, okay?
00:37:52So,
00:37:56mm-hmm.
00:38:06So, I'm not doing this for multi-power fan. Although it comes, if it comes,
00:38:12although it comes, if it comes, that's fine, but we're doing this out of curiosity.
00:38:18Yeah, we want to discover something new. Just, yeah, that's why we're doing this, okay?
00:38:22Yeah.
00:38:24Yeah.
00:38:27Yeah. Also, abrogation has good scientists, okay? Yeah.
00:38:33Cheers.
00:38:52Mm-hmm.
00:39:06Okay.
00:39:09So, 15, 14, it will be 7 and 7, okay? Yeah, so 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 2 more to go. Okay.
00:39:22Yeah, this is a scratch pad.
00:39:42Cheers.
00:39:52Mm-hmm.
00:40:22Yeah.
00:40:44Yeah, but this one is not exactly algorithm, because we found guessing game a little bit,
00:40:49but still, okay? Yeah. We formalize this algorithm later, okay? So,
00:41:00we adopt minus 3.
00:41:11Yeah.
00:41:19Mm-hmm.
00:41:28One more to go.
00:41:49Yeah.
00:42:08We don't adopt minus 1.
00:42:12Okay.
00:42:12Yeah. Cheers.
00:42:42Mm-hmm.
00:43:12Yeah.
00:43:30Now, let's do 19 again, because I'm wondering,
00:43:34whenever we adopt minus 1, does that mean, or minus something, does that mean this left,
00:43:42principal left coefficient will be negative? I'm wondering, okay? Let's do 19 again, okay? So,
00:43:56here is positive, okay? So,
00:44:12we adopt plus 1.
00:44:30That's what it seems, okay? Yeah. Okay. We are learning more about this algorithm, okay? So,
00:44:37if you adopt, like, negative something, that means, yeah, the left-base coefficient will be
00:44:43negative. If you adopt, like, positive something, then left-base coefficient will be positive.
00:44:49Okay. Yeah. Good to know. Yeah. Learning something every day, yeah? Nice.
00:45:00Good. Okay.
00:45:07Let's take five minutes break, okay?
00:45:17Okay. Yeah. Thank you.
00:45:21Okay. Five minutes. Thank you.
00:45:31Here we go.
00:45:32Okay.
00:45:42Oh.
00:45:48Okay.
00:46:02Five seconds.
00:46:18Okay.
00:46:48Okay.
00:47:18Okay.
00:47:48Okay.
00:48:18Okay.
00:48:48Okay.
00:49:04Okay, so let's take a break from mathematics a little bit, okay?
00:49:22Yes, so in Alaska or cold regions like Alaska, yeah, we have what's called heating pad, heating
00:49:29block.
00:49:30Okay.
00:49:31That's what is this?
00:49:32It can get attached to, like, engine, I don't know, car, okay?
00:49:41And it can, after you plug it in with electric cord, yeah, heat it up so that car can start
00:49:47in a very cold day, okay?
00:49:49So my car, yeah, heating pad, it works, just that the plug end, three-pronged plug end
00:49:59of the heating pad is damaged.
00:50:02I just need to replace that, okay?
00:50:04So I looked up in the internet, and lo and behold, it's there in the internet.
00:50:08I watched YouTube video how to replace it, okay?
00:50:11Yeah, just go to hardware store, buy that three-pronged plug end of any electric appliances.
00:50:21Yeah, if it's damaged, okay, yeah, you can replace it.
00:50:25No soldering required, okay?
00:50:27You just need screwdriver and some knife, and then, yeah, it's in YouTube, okay, yeah.
00:50:34I think that's what I'm going to do tomorrow, okay?
00:50:38Yeah.
00:50:39Let me do some more vodka, okay?
00:50:45And time check.
00:50:48Yeah, it's been less than one hour.
00:50:55Yeah, I'm going to do just a little bit more, okay?
00:50:57I'm going to do less than one hour, okay?
00:51:09What, vodka?
00:51:13Mm-hmm.
00:51:16Oh, I have to refill this.
00:51:21Potion washing vodka.
00:51:23Yeah.
00:51:27Cheers.
00:51:52Yeah, so in human, there is good way to do something, there's good way and bad way, okay?
00:52:09How about aging?
00:52:10Yeah, there's good way to age and bad way to age, okay?
00:52:15What's good way to age?
00:52:16Yeah, age gracefully, okay?
00:52:17Okay?
00:52:18Yeah, it's kind of slow down a little bit because, like, when I do exercise, I'm not
00:52:23as rigorous as before because I'm 46, okay?
00:52:29Yeah, I have to be more careful, okay?
00:52:30More in moderation, okay?
00:52:32Cheers.
00:52:33Okay?
00:52:38Yeah, building spot, yeah, I just left it off, okay?
00:52:40So, it's good sense of humor, okay?
00:52:42So, yeah.
00:52:44Okay?
00:52:48How about bad way of aging?
00:52:51I mean, like, some people who do not age very well, yeah, they're kind of angry, okay?
00:52:59So, I mean, but good way of aging, yeah, continue exercise, continue to work or volunteerism
00:53:08after retirement.
00:53:09Yeah, continue to be physically active and continue to exercise but in moderation, okay?
00:53:16Yeah, be happy, yeah, diet, exercise, look beautiful and, yeah, be happy, okay?
00:53:22Yeah, cheers.
00:53:25Hmm?
00:53:26Healthy hobbies, yeah, I'm check.
00:53:36Okay, about five more minutes to go, okay.
00:53:39Uh...
00:53:40Base 16, sure.
00:53:41Yeah.
00:53:42Gosh, it's boring, yeah, cheers, yeah.
00:53:43Somebody has to do it.
00:53:44Let me do it.
00:53:45Okay.
00:53:46Okay.
00:53:47Okay.
00:53:48Okay.
00:53:49Okay.
00:53:50Okay.
00:53:51Okay.
00:53:52Okay.
00:53:53Okay.
00:53:54Okay.
00:53:55Okay.
00:53:56Okay.
00:53:57Okay.
00:53:58Okay.
00:53:59Okay.
00:54:00Okay.
00:54:01Okay.
00:54:02Okay.
00:54:03Okay.
00:54:04Okay.
00:54:05Okay.
00:54:06Okay.
00:54:07Okay.
00:54:09Somebody has to do it.
00:54:10Let it be me.
00:54:11Sure, yeah.
00:54:13I volunteer to do this, okay, so...
00:54:31Oops.
00:54:38I did a side strut.
00:54:40Oh, okay.
00:54:41Okay.
00:54:42Okay.
00:54:43Okay.
00:54:44Okay.
00:54:45Okay.
00:54:46Okay.
00:54:47I'm ready.
00:54:50Um...
00:54:51Hello.
00:55:13Okay.
00:55:33Yeah.
00:56:02It is relative algorithm, but it's not like, it's not like deduction.
00:56:06It's more induction.
00:56:07Yeah, we try x is equal to whatever number, kind of like similar, kind of around 16.
00:56:18Okay.
00:56:19Yeah.
00:56:20So x is five.
00:56:21Yeah.
00:56:2215 is one less than 16.
00:56:25Okay.
00:56:26Yeah.
00:56:28We adopt minus one.
00:56:31Okay.
00:56:32So, you read 19 times.
00:56:36Now we know the sign.
00:56:37You read minus.
00:56:38Okay.
00:56:39Yeah.
00:56:40Minus five.
00:56:46Nine times five.
00:56:5095.
00:56:56Yeah.
00:56:5796.
00:56:58Sure.
00:56:59Yeah.
00:57:0016 times six.
00:57:01Okay.
00:57:02Good.
00:57:03We're getting better.
00:57:04Yeah.
00:57:05Cheers.
00:57:06Nice.
00:57:07Bye.
00:57:37It's a relative algorithm.
00:58:01Okay.
00:58:02I mean, case one.
00:58:29And we adopt minus one.
00:58:36Okay.
00:58:3920 times 21.
00:58:4363.
00:58:48Because we adopted minus one.
00:58:51Yeah.
00:58:52It would be minus three.
00:58:55Okay.
00:58:56Yeah.
00:58:57So, it would be 64.
00:59:00Sure.
00:59:0164.
00:59:02Okay.
00:59:03Okay.
00:59:04Yeah.
00:59:05Cheers.
00:59:07Okay.
00:59:08Yeah.
00:59:0964.
00:59:1064.
00:59:1164.
00:59:1264.
00:59:1364.
00:59:1464.
00:59:1564.
00:59:1664.
00:59:1764.
00:59:1864.
00:59:1964.
00:59:2064.
00:59:2164.
00:59:2264.
00:59:2364.
00:59:2464.
00:59:2564.
00:59:2664.
00:59:2764.
00:59:2864.
00:59:2964.
00:59:3064.
00:59:3164.
00:59:3264.
00:59:3364.
00:59:3464.
00:59:3564.
00:59:3664.
00:59:3764.
00:59:3864.
00:59:3912.
00:59:4016.
00:59:4162.
00:59:4262.
00:59:4362.
00:59:4462.
00:59:4562.
00:59:46No, we can come up with a formula by now, okay?
00:59:50Maybe it's about right time.
00:59:53Maybe time is right.
00:59:54Time is right.
00:59:55Come up with a formula, as opposed to...
01:00:01itorator, okay?
01:00:02Algorithm is kind of bridging gap between induction and deduction.
01:00:09Deduction part? Yeah, formula.
01:00:12In our experience, sometimes formula is deductive too.
01:00:19Here?
01:00:23Okay.
01:00:24x is 5, which is 16 quotient 3.
01:00:43In next example, x is 3, which is
01:00:5416 quotient 5.
01:01:00Okay?
01:01:11And 3 is
01:01:1619
01:01:19Rho
01:01:2116
01:01:22Okay?
01:01:25And
01:01:285 is equal to
01:01:3121
01:01:32Rho
01:01:3416
01:01:36Okay?
01:01:37Yeah.
01:01:40Good.
01:01:42We are making very good progress here, okay?
01:01:44So,
01:01:47Now time check, okay?
01:01:51Has it been more than one hour yet?
01:01:55Yes, it has.
01:01:57Ma'am, sir?
01:01:58Yeah, welcome to Humanities School, okay?
01:02:00Yeah.
01:02:01So, now that we've been doing mathematics for more than one hour,
01:02:08let's discuss this, and then let's go to Instagram live together.
01:02:12Okay?
01:02:13Yeah.
01:02:14Okay.
01:02:15Yeah, see you soon.
01:02:16Maybe it's five to ten minutes, okay?
01:02:19Happy Friday.
01:02:20Oh, yeah.
01:02:25Yeah, exercise, okay?
01:02:26Strong body leads to strong exercise.
01:02:31Strong body leads to strong mind, strong spirit.
01:02:36Okay?
01:02:37Yeah, like running, martial arts, dancing.
01:02:40Martial arts are the most important, okay?
01:02:42After you learn martial arts, you can go outside and run.
01:02:47Okay?
01:02:48Because running outside is not always safe.
01:02:52There are some criminals, okay?
01:02:55Yeah, so make sure you learn martial arts before you go out there and run outside, okay?
01:03:01But inside the gym, yeah, you can still run more safely, okay?
01:03:05But if you know good martial arts, you can run outside safely.
01:03:11Okay?
01:03:12Yeah.
01:03:13So, learn martial arts, okay?
01:03:14Yeah, also dancing.
01:03:15They are good exercises.
01:03:18Be physically active, okay?
01:03:20Yeah.
01:03:21Continuing education, continuing career development, okay?
01:03:24And good hobbies, okay?
01:03:27Yeah.
01:03:28It doesn't have to be mathematics.
01:03:29Any good hobbies, like music, painting, or something else, okay?
01:03:34Good hobbies, okay?
01:03:35Yeah.
01:03:36See you soon.
01:03:38Happy Friday.
01:03:39Yeah.
01:03:40Future leaders, mighty proud.
01:03:41Yeah.
