00:00We'll start with the national championship game rematch in Seattle between Washington
00:08and Michigan.
00:09Coach Bowden, the reigning national champs, the 10th ranked team in the country in the
00:13maize and blue, a slight road underdog in Husky Stadium.
00:18So much turnover for these two teams roster-wise and of course in their coaching status.
00:23How do you factor that into tonight's national title rematch in Seattle?
00:27Well, I mean, these are basically two different teams, different head coaches, different players.
00:32They're different teams than the two that faced each other.
00:36Michigan doesn't have much of an offensive quarterback.
00:39The situation was very much a strong last year with their quarterback situation.
00:43They've struggled.
00:44They've gone finally with orgy.
00:46At quarterback, he gives them a guy that can hand the ball off, run a little bit, but doesn't
00:51give them that downfield passing attack that you could get when you needed it last year
00:54in Michigan.
00:55Washington, to me, has got much better offense.
00:58They've got the offense.
00:59This game is going to go Michigan defense versus Washington offense.
01:02I'm not going with the line.
01:04I think Michigan will go out there and win the football game and beat the points.
01:10Coach, what can a coach in Serome Ward do?
01:13It's their first true road game of the season.
01:16They've played five games at home.
01:18In terms of special preparation, knowing that it's going to be a crazy environment in Seattle?
01:25Well, you know that the difficult thing is you don't do many games across the country.
01:30The jet lag, just the time frame.
01:32You go earlier, organize your routine.
01:36That's the biggest thing.
01:37I mean, they've played on the road before.
01:39I really like playing on the road.
01:40I get no distractions.
01:42I group my team together in a hotel.
01:44We're together, nobody bothering us, and we can stay focused from a preparation for the
01:49game.
01:50You've got to make sure they don't have a whole lot of experience and play West Coast,
01:53except in the days when they played in the Rose Bowl and things like that.
01:56It's one of the changes this year in the Big Ten Conference.
01:59You've got to get used to going East Coast to West Coast and getting that comfort, at
02:02least Midwest to West Coast.
02:05The Maize and Blue at home in Ann Arbor for the first five games of the season for the
02:09first time since the 2016 campaign.
02:12Their first game on the road in 2016, also against the Big Ten foe in New Jersey against
02:18Rutgers.
02:19I'll let you look up the score.
02:20Michigan won the game comfortably.
