00:00Guys, good to see you as always, because I only get to hear you in this one, so it is nice to see you.
00:06We are all, I know, around a similar age, so I know you guys must have been playing.
00:10There's no way that you are near our age, really?
00:13Trust me, trust me, you little charmer, but yes.
00:17So I know that you were playing with Transformers when you were younger.
00:21Have either of you still got any of your Transformers?
00:24Because I know we've still got them in my household.
00:26Do you? Wow.
00:27Now I wish. My dog ate my Transformer and ripped it to pieces.
00:32I have a Transformer that I still don't know how to transform.
00:36Great.
00:36So 40 years of trying to transform, this Transformer lets you know how well made a toy that is.
00:43I was like, this should be the litmus test of whether or not you can go to law school.
00:47Like, instead of giving them the bar, make sure that they can transform.
00:50You didn't make it.
00:51You can't transform back, but you can't transform it to the...
00:54Either way, there's one...
00:56Some transformations are permanent.
00:58I love an origin story. Didn't know it, so loved it.
01:02Is it weird for you guys, though, hearing yourselves as such iconic characters?
01:07Always.
01:07Weird and kind of nerve-wracking, especially when you're first in the booth recording and it's like,
01:13am I aiming for what's been done before or is it an entirely new creation and invention?
01:19And it was kind of a fusion of that, that I used Peter Cullen
01:23and what he's done so brilliantly as a reference point and sort of an end point or a target.
01:28But mostly it was about informing the audience.
01:32This was a younger version of these characters before he was Optimus Prime.
01:35This is when he was...
01:37There was a lot more sort of spontaneity, enthusiasm, a sense of humor.
01:40And we see a lot of different range and colors in these characters,
01:44which I found really exciting the first time I read it.
01:46I think white audiences will love it.
01:48Yeah.
01:48And also we've never heard them young.
01:51At this point, they haven't been hardened.
01:53They haven't gone through becoming these two great leaders of these two...
01:59I don't want to say gangs.
02:02But you know, the Autobots and Decepticons are legendary,
02:06but they all go on to become leaders.
02:08So this is them before all of that.
02:09This is them pre-puberty, but still with deep voices.
02:13Yeah.
02:13That's right.
02:1620 years old, but in robot years, that's like 2 million years old.
02:20They can buy robot liquor.
02:23They're obviously starting off as best friends though, you two, as the characters in here.
02:28Yeah, definitely not best friends anymore.
02:30No.
02:30We were a couple of hours ago.
02:33So I'm curious.
02:34Obviously, Orion Pax had to get the right names rather than Optimus Prime.
02:37Orion Pax convinces D-16 to do the Iacon 5000...
02:43Yeah.
02:43What is it?
02:44God, have I got anything right?
02:45You're doing great.
02:46I'm curious.
02:47What would you convince the other to do?
02:50Oh, this is a dark path.
02:52What could you do?
02:52I could be inviting him to come to Australia.
02:54No, not to hang with him.
02:56Set up some bunk beds.
02:58No, and then he's got this bunk bed thing that I just...
03:00I don't want to really go into that.
03:01We could go camping.
03:02I don't have strong enough insurance to hang with him.
03:04Swim with Shadworth.
03:06See what I'm saying?
03:07He likes to jump off cliffs.
03:08He even had a show follow him doing stuff called Limitless.
03:13All right?
03:15What would I...
03:16No, there's no way.
03:17What would you convince him to do with you then?
03:19I think he...
03:20One, he can wear anything, right?
03:22One, he can wear anything, which is annoying.
03:24And so I want him to stretch the imagination.
03:28I was like, let's do some patterns.
03:30Oh, really?
03:30Is this what I did to you?
03:32You were trying to get...
03:32I put these on.
03:33I was a little nervous.
03:33Is it two patterns?
03:34No, it's perfect.
03:35It looks great on you.
03:37It's annoyingly so.
03:38And I'm like, come on.
03:39Fashion icon.
03:41That is the next move, is the fashion.
03:43Well, I'll be speaking to you on runway somewhere next time.
03:48We could have a little brand.
03:50You think?
03:50Brand.
03:52Guys, good luck with the film.
03:53Great.
03:54Lovely to see you both.
03:55It's a jump, what?
