Dom Smith on Chelsea 1-1 Nottingham Forest
Transcript
00:00Well it's all over here at Stamford Bridge and I think for Chelsea there'll be a real sense that
00:04this was a missed opportunity. They were absolutely dominant against Nottingham Forest today but it's
00:09now one win in four against, in five rather, against Forest after a 1-1 draw here. They had
00:1522 shots Chelsea and were the dominant side throughout. The first half performance was
00:21particularly impressive but then in the second half when they brought fresh attackers off the
00:25bench, Maresco of course has such attacking strength in depth. He brought players on like
00:30Felix and Mudrick and Nkunku and they kept things ticking over for Chelsea but they just couldn't
00:36find the goal. It was actually Forest who took the lead just after the break when Chris Wood
00:41steered home from a free kick from close range and then Chelsea were immediately levelled through
00:47Noni Madueke. Madueke played really well, so did Jadon Sancho on the left wing. Madueke came in
00:52off the right a number of times shooting with his left and finally had his reward with the equaliser
00:57but try as they might Chelsea couldn't find the winner and so this is a real halting of momentum
01:02for them. They were hoping for six straight wins if they'd beaten Forest today. Instead,
01:08first time they haven't won since the 1st of September, a 1-1 draw to lead them into the international break.
