00:12Fresh explosions have rocked Beirut's southern suburbs into Sunday as Israel expands its
00:17bombardment into new areas of Lebanon. The blasts in the capital began around midnight
00:22after Israel's military urged residents to evacuate areas in Dahiya, a collection of
00:27suburbs on Beirut's southern edge. Israel's attack on the Badawi refugee camp in the north
00:33killed an official with Hamas's military wing, along with his wife and two daughters.
00:39An IDF spokesperson said that since the start of the ground operation on 30 September,
00:44Israeli forces have killed 440 Hezbollah militants and destroyed more than 2,000 targets.
00:51And in a post on X, the military said it found and dismantled a 250-meter-long
00:56tunnel in southern Lebanon that it says Hezbollah had intended to use to enter Israeli territory.
01:02At least 1,400 Lebanese, including civilians, medics and Hezbollah
01:06fighters, have been killed and 1.2 million driven from their homes in less than two weeks.
01:12Matteo Salvini used the League Party's annual gathering that is being held here in Puntida,

01:57in fact, read, protecting borders is not a crime, and very much on the ongoing open arms trial,
02:05with Salvini trying to use this event to raise his profile and gain support after Italian
02:10prosecutors requested a six-year jail sentence for refusing to disembark 147 migrants when he
02:19was interior minister in 2019. And by inviting members of Patriots for Europe, Salvini is very

02:36Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are voting to elect mayors and council members in its Sunday
02:42municipal elections. The election represents a crucial test for the country's democracy
02:48and will be therefore monitored by over 300 international and European Union observers.

02:59devastated the country last week. The election commission postponed voting in five municipalities

03:56attack happened near the town of Hiben, the high Tatra Mountains, where the victim was picking
04:00mushrooms. The Air Transport Europe helicopter service said the bear had hit one of the man's
04:06main lower arteries, causing massive bleeding. It's the second fatality from a bear attack in
04:11Slovakia. The first happened in 2021 in the same area.
04:21A Turkish vessel has left Istanbul to start an energy research mission off the coast of Somalia.
04:27The Oruç Reis' mission is expected to last seven months and will involve collecting seismic data
04:33to identify new oil and natural gas reserves. The data will then be sent back to Ankara for
04:39analysis to identify potential drilling sites. Earlier this year, the Turkish and Somalian
04:45governments signed memorandums of understanding regarding maritime exploration licenses for three
04:51offshore areas.
