Mishkat al-Masabih
Book: Narration of Funerals
Chapter: Statement of wishing for and remembering death
Hadith Number: 1601

Translation:
Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever likes to meet Allah, Allah likes to meet him." Doubt, we do not like death. He said: "This is not the case. Rather, if death comes to a believer, then he will be punished by Allah."The glad tidings of pleasure and his honor are given, then whoever comes before him is the most beloved to him, so he likes to meet Allah and Allah likes to meet him, and When death comes to a disbeliever, he is given the good news of Allah's chastisement and his punishment, then to himNothing is more unpleasant than the future, so he dislikes meeting Allah, and Allah dislikes meeting him.'' Agreed upon.
