Bruce Springsteen Endorses Kamala Harris, Calls Donald Trump 'Dangerous'

00:00Friends, fans, and the press have asked me who I'm supporting in this most important of elections.

00:06And with full knowledge of my opinions, no more or less important than those of any of my fellow citizens, here's my answer.

00:13I'm supporting Kamala Harris for president and Tim Walz for vice president, and opposing Donald Trump and J.D. Vance.

00:21The boss has spoken. Bruce Springsteen is endorsing Kamala Harris for president.

00:27The music superstar revealed his 2024 election choice in a lengthy social media video on Oct. 3,

00:34sharing from a diner in his native New Jersey why he backs the Democratic candidate and her running mate, Tim Walz.

00:41Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are committed to a vision of this country that respects and includes everyone,

00:47regardless of class, religion, race, your political point of view, or sexual identity.

00:53And they want to grow our economy in a way that benefits all, not just a few like me on top.

01:00That's the vision of America I've been consistently writing about for 55 years.

01:06Springsteen went on to explain that he believes the country is at a crucial turning point,

01:11while criticizing Harris' opponent, former President Donald Trump.

01:15Donald Trump is the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime.

01:21His disdain for the sanctity of our Constitution, the sanctity of democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law,

01:30and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from the office of president ever again.

01:38He doesn't understand the meaning of this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American.

01:46The Born to Run artist has a long history of supporting Democrats,

01:50including former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden.

01:54At an Atlanta rally in August, Trump noted that Springsteen also performed for a Hillary Clinton event

02:00during her 2016 presidential campaign, telling the crowd that he's, quote,

02:04not a huge fan of the rock icon.
