00:44Last month, the singer filed a preemptive complaint against what he calls extortion
00:49and defamation of character.
00:51He now tells ET, quote, hush money, no matter how much or little is still hush money.
00:57In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of, ugly acts no
01:02human should ever do to another.
01:05Those alleged acts, Rowe claims they left her with back and neck injuries.
01:10And according to the suit, she says she has text messages and audio recordings to support
01:15her case.
01:17As for Brooks, he says the show must go on as he's currently in the middle of his Las
01:21Vegas residency.
01:23He tells ET, quote, I want to play music tonight.
01:26I want to continue our good deeds going forward.
01:29It breaks my heart these wonderful things are in question now.
01:32I trust the system.
01:33I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be.
