00:00Hi everyone, I'm Millie Jackdaw, storyteller, and I'm in the wondrous Penglais Woods in
00:12Aberystwyth and the sun is streaming through the beautiful beech trees. It's absolutely
00:19glorious. Heavenly. And I'd like to just tell you about my upcoming storytelling show,
00:28Mochen Merlin, or Merlin's Pig, which I'm touring from next week. So, if you'd like
00:37to know more about it and what it's about, then perhaps you'd like to go to my website
00:43www.milliejackdaw.com forward slash events. And if you'd like to go a lot deeper, go to my blog
00:53on the website and you can read all about the backgrounds of the research that I've done into
01:03the Welsh mythology, particularly around Merlin and the sow and also the boar, the pig, basically.
01:12And what those creatures might symbolise and how they could speak to us, how they can nourish us
01:21in our age, in our times. So, these myths are part of our living mythology. You know, we're all living
01:33mythic lives. We may not be aware of it. I'll give you a little snippet from the show, an insight,
01:46which was something that I received by an experience I had. It's difficult to explain,
01:54but it felt to me like I was connecting with Merlin himself and that he transmitted this
02:02understanding to me, which I've put into my own words because it kind of was beyond words. It was
02:10more of a knowing. And it's this. You cannot hope to understand the meaning of your own story from
02:23the limited perspective of the conditioned mind. Know this. Your story is part of a much bigger
02:33story and it is a wondrous one. So, that's the kind of explorations that I've been doing and
02:47telling these stories, elaborating with my own kind of songs and music and poetry. And I think
02:57you'd really enjoy it. I do. So, check out my website and come and see if there's a show near
03:06enough to you. And if there isn't, maybe you could invite me. Much love.
