Patel hails England's seamers as 'fantastic' in Pakistan

England coach Jeetan Patel described the seamers as 'fantastic' as England took four wickets on day one.

00:00A tough day on a good batting pitch, how do you reckon the guys stood up to that?

00:06I couldn't commend them any more, I think the toil they put in today was high end.

00:12The way they tried different things to take wickets, the way they, the different fields they had, the way they fielded.

00:21I think, I mean to take those three wickets tonight was a testament to the work they'd done in the first two sessions if I'm honest with you.

00:28I think we're pretty happy with how it's ended up, four down, obviously we'd like them six down, ten all out.

00:33But, you know, you're in the subcontinent and you're just playing different conditions.

00:37Kasi was amazing, he was up at 90 mile an hour.

00:40Gus taking wickets at the back end of the day through skill alone, let alone just the pace that he's usually produced.

00:46The seamers were fantastic, you know, they were dripping by the time they came back in but they still went back out.

00:52And they still went back out with an energy to try and take another wicket and look for the next opportunity.

00:57I think they did as well as they could today on a wicket that didn't resume.
