04:19Down the street or walk it outside, you know, and then the last hurricane we had before I left, you know
04:25we're all outside in the water and
04:29crazy you kind of get used to

07:10Indian restaurant was closed. I went to Trader Joe's
07:13Don't judge me I did get processed food, but I love they have a really good Indian
07:20Section Indian food their vegan tikka masala
07:25So so so so good and then their garlic naan. I
07:33Absolutely love so I'm gonna have that for lunch and
07:35For dinner, I bought some butternut squash sweet squash

07:42Potatoes vegetable broth
07:46A couple other things. I have some vegan sausage. I'm gonna take out when I get home. And yeah, I'm gonna make some hearty
07:53Fall soup with these leaves falling it feels so much like fall. It feels so awesome
07:59So it's definitely soup weather. My daughter's gone. She's not a soup fan. Actually, my daughter went on a cruise with her best friend. So

08:09Kind of have a bit of freedom for four days and I'm eating stuff that she does not like to eat and she is not

08:18yeah, that's gonna be dinner for tonight and
08:21Yeah, so luckily. Oh our power was out. So the power was out all morning. I think it went out around 7 a.m. And
08:29Literally just came back on
08:32Before I left so maybe around 1 o'clock
08:35So we have power so I figured I would cook like I said
08:40I hadn't eaten all day because I wasn't really feeling well, and I've been intermittent
08:44fasting
08:45so I just had my lemon my lemon water and I had some peppermint and burdock root tea and
08:53So I'm ready to eat some food. So let's head back to the house

09:10Back to our hurricane edition still feeling a little under the weather. I took a little nap

09:18Five almost six o'clock. I think it's getting dark out here
09:25Everyone is dry. I really send my prayers and
09:31everything out to the people who
09:33You know got flooded I saw that a lot of people's you know cars were under the water a
09:40lot of people's homes

09:52So anyway, these are the ingredients I actually am just
09:57Freestyling this soup. I really wanted something warm and hearty and
10:04some comfort food
10:06My husband is not vegetarian
10:09But I do sneak and feed him vegetarian food
10:13In the beginning I used to tell him when I was doing that now
10:18I don't so he eats kind of whatever I give him, you know
10:23he does tell me I eat like a what does he say I eat like a bird or something else, but
10:29He will be fine and he will eat this soup and he will love this soup
10:35So cutting up some onions
10:38Here, I'm gonna saute some onions and garlic. I'm going to cook the
10:46Sausages first. These are the

10:50Sausages. These are actually really really good. I like these I'm gonna save this for my vegetable broth
10:57Not for today, but for another day I keep my little bag in the freezer so

16:04One of the first things I made for my husband we met was soup I met him, you know, of course down in, Florida
16:15And went back to Atlanta
16:18To visit or something like that and he called me and he got sick
16:23He got a flu or it's actually right before Covid
16:27So I was like, you know what? I'm gonna go back to Florida. I'm gonna go back to Florida
16:31Got a flu or it's actually right before Covid and
16:37Back to me to come down
16:41So I went I had to actually end up taking him to the hospital
16:45And I stayed in his house while he was in the hospital
16:49this was probably we'd only known each other maybe a couple months and
16:55While he was in the hospital I went and
16:58Bought a whole bunch of vegetables and I made
17:01Soup, you know when I'm cooking for someone and really into it and it ends up being like the best meal you've ever made
17:08Honestly, I can say that that was the best
17:12Vegetable soup I probably ever made it was really good. He really loved it. I think that kind of sealed the deal
17:22He was shocked I actually cleaned up his apartment and
17:28Cooked so when he came home, this place was all nice and clean and smelled like home-cooked food

18:15I'm gonna use some adobo, which I use in most things that I make

24:07Got a brand of burdock root tea. It already comes in little bags on Amazon
24:14Burdock root is really really good for you. It's like a blood cleanser

24:20Helps with digestion a few things it's it's it's really really good for you cleansing the liver
24:28So I've been drinking that because something tells me I need to do a colonic but
24:34Something tells me that I need to do liver detox
24:38kidney detox, which I'll probably do soon, but I
24:44Have some peppermint burdock root
24:47and I bought a
24:50Lavender honey
24:52That's okay. I've had lavender honey. That's better
24:54I went for the cheaper stuff this time and I don't taste the lavender as much as I have in the past
25:04But this soup is really helping me
25:08I'm gonna either find a good book to read right now. I have my pink light on guys. Don't you love my pink light?

25:25They were cooped up in the house for a couple days with that rain. So we kind of let them hang out outside, but
