00:00For the first time, the new renovated house, Pangulo sa Malacanang, was shown to the media.
00:06Here's Jonathan Andal's breaking news.
00:13This is where Pangulo lives inside Malacanang Park.
00:18And for the first time, it was shown to the media.
00:23This is the newly renovated Pangulo house.
00:30As soon as you enter the compound gate, it feels like you're on vacation.
00:38It feels like you're at a resort.
00:42But that was the intention when they designed this presidential residence.
00:48So that when the president comes home from work, he can relax.
00:54The first lady really liked it when she said,
00:57Conrad, I want you to make it feel like a resort.
01:00I said, what architectural style?
01:02She said, like Asian modern.
01:05First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos has a personal touchdown on the design of the house.
01:10She was the one who chose the furniture here, most of which she bought in Pampanga.
01:16But one part that the first lady used a lot was the pool area.
01:22Because every morning, it's a swimming exercise.
01:26The president also works out regularly in his own home gym.
01:31Which has a cardio machine and weights.
01:34Every Sunday, his family gathers here to exercise and hang out.
01:39Only the two of them live here.
01:41But on Sundays, the Marcos family gathers here.
01:44You can see there are paintings here.
01:46These are the paintings of the gays inside the palace of Malacanang.
01:49But they took them out so that they can be seen.
01:51They don't just hang out there.
01:53These are the paintings of the national artist, Fernando Amorsolo.
02:00This is the personal quarters of the first couple.
02:02This is where they sleep.
02:03Inside this is the study area of President Bongbong Marcos.
02:08There are also a lot of games for kids here.
02:11Like billiards, Pac-Man arcade machine, board games, and racing simulator.
02:16Which was often used by the presidential son, Vincent Marcos.
02:20Overlooking here is the palace of Malacanang.
02:22In the middle is the Pasig River.
02:25Before it was called the President's house, it was first called the Dream House.
02:30Where the previous presidents also lived.
02:32But when President Marcos took office in 2022, the whole house was renovated.
02:38It was a problem back then.
02:39In the old Dream House, there were floods.
02:43We raised the elevation.
02:45So even if the Pasig River rose, the water wouldn't go in.
02:49We also put a sump pump.
02:51Now, it's like a floating slab.
02:55So even if the ground shakes, the slab won't shake.
02:59Because of the new design of the President's house,
03:03it can last for 20 to 50 years.
03:06Which they will pass on to the next presidents.
