00:00all right gentlemen first round we're in a fight you ready to fight let's go and
00:07again Alex Pineda is here to see what you do I tough I guess so huh he's not
00:13bothered is that so what I'm coming for you buddy
00:16massive swings and look finds himself in a clinch well when you're fighting a
00:22technical guy sometimes you got to get a little bit wild with things to create
00:26your opportunities and that's exactly what myself did and that's off second
00:31fight at light heavyweight weight 260 for his last fight in March by itself
00:39trying to get killed play oh no this is really good for myself
00:43now he don't literally just pulled him right down on top of him but he's back
00:48up now right back to his feet mass off missed a couple of big elbows by itself
00:53got the double on the hooks he's gonna rotate off the fence okay there we go
01:08looks like bite off hesitating a little bit here as it really got to work yeah
01:16once again in the clinch doesn't have a ton of experience with these small
01:21gloves and when you're used to fighting these super technical high-level
01:25championship caliber kickboxing fight and you got a guy coming at you pitching
01:30softballs it's kind of like man I don't train like this right my training
01:34partners don't wing it me yeah well when you find somebody like Alex Pereira a
01:38guy that is so technical and skilled there's a certain rhythm and a movement
01:42in a passage of the fight when you find someone that's a beginner like myself is
01:46you know and they're just being wild what are you doing this is not the
01:53rhythm this is not how the fight goes and you can have success when you're
01:56doing that to be fair in terms of MMA by tough hasn't had much time to fight his
02:02own as long as fight as a pro just 92 seconds so this already his longest
02:08fight pro MMA he needs to be really careful connecting his hips to mass off
02:13a bit of a judo background and could easily take a Vahitov for a bit of a
02:18flight here
02:23it's gonna have a sense of urgency because every time they're here when they
02:28are separated this is supposed to be his world is yet to be the aggressors yet to
02:33be the one to go first that's off successful with the takedown
02:39momentarily bites off immediately once again works back to the feet trying to
02:46dig this right under hook so he can get double unders spin mass off back to the
02:52fence that's well done by Vahitov there it is but he's got a disengage yes he
02:56got the body lock there from the double under hooks he doesn't want that get the
03:00double under hooks and then use that to disengage as I said don't use it to get
03:04a body lock because when you in a body lock your chest to chest and anything
03:09could happen gotta watch his hip grows as well
03:15Vahitov says that his whole entire life is training that's all he does so I would
03:21assume go in the distance or at least getting out of the first round which is
03:26something he hasn't done professionally shouldn't be an issue certainly against
03:30Alex Pereira wins that one wins that little battle there now we get to see
03:39the power on display now he's got myself backed up against the fence but again a
03:45little hesitation slips and rips that connects with the right hook start to
03:50let it loose just a little bit as we have just over a minute to go in the
03:54first round still waiting to see the striking as he eats a left from Masov
04:03Vahitov's best weapon or one of his best weapons I should say that's a great knee
04:08it's just not really fighting the way that he typically does when he's in a
04:14kickboxing match well it's such a cliched point to bring up but when you
04:18when you have the threat of the takedown 100% it causes you to climb up a little
04:22bit
04:31and you know what it wasn't the cleanest performance maybe what we all expected
04:37but that was good because it was against a wild aggressive opponent a man that
04:42was trying to take him down he stayed on the feet and then still within the first
04:46round got a spectacular finish showed off the power showed off the ability and
04:51lived up to the hype a slow start for Martem Vahitov ends up getting the
05:02finish here in the first round still has yet to be out of the first round as a
05:07pro this just his fourth pro MMA fight and Masov fair play to him because he
05:13wasn't intimidated anyone that follows kickboxing or combat sports knows the
05:18high of Vahitov coming in he wasn't bothered he didn't buy it he went out in
05:23100% but look at this Vahitov once he got a little separation and room to
05:28maneuver use his power use his skills bring his experience to the table got
05:34clipped on the way but landed a body shot pushes him away right hand that
05:38almost folded it that one did it one two you can just feel the power because
05:44Masov just starts curling up in a ball falls down to the ground wasn't the
05:48cleanest but it still was the first round stoppage really really nice work
05:56Martem Vahitov the last man to beat Alex Pereira in kickboxing getting it done
06:02here in the contenders series let's make it official ladies and gentlemen after
06:07four minutes 23 seconds into round number one referee Mike Beltran calls a
06:11stop to the fight for the winner by TKO
06:15Martem Vahitov
06:22well was it enough I guess that is the question he does get the win here took
06:27him a little while to get settled the longest fight of his professional MMA
06:30career after over a hundred and twenty kickboxing fights between an amateur and
06:37pro career going over to give this slim Masov a little bit of love there is
06:41the champ Alex Pereira shaking hands with Dana White who makes his way to the
06:45back to make the decisions on who are
