00:00What's up, Wolfpack fam? It's your boy, Keem, back at it again.
00:13Hope you're doing well. Continuing my journey of The Detectives with my boys, Louie and Briggs.
00:17What adventures lie on this week's episode? I got to stay tuned to find out. Ladies and gentlemen,
00:22go grab... I can't speak. Go grab your snacks, because snacks is not included, dammit. You got
00:27to bring your own. Don't forget to like, comment, subscribe. Absolutely free to do. Shout out to the
00:31Patreons as well. Thank you so much for your support. Remember, by simply just liking and
00:35commenting, you help out the channel tremendously. So, with that being said, let's get this journey
00:40started. Let's get it. Snacks not included. Let's freaking go. I need a good laugh today, ladies and
00:46gents.
01:16Come on, we might be in time. Sir, what the hell are you two doing here? I thought you had the
01:41afternoon off. We heard there was something big, so we thought we'd see if we could help.
01:46What's the problem, sir? There's a suspect briefcase in that bank. We're waiting for the army boys to turn up.
01:52Traffic's backed up for miles. Do you mind if we go in and have a look, sir?
01:56What? It's our patch, sir. Our responsibility. Well, for God's sake, be careful.
02:01Christie.
02:31Is it?
02:55Yes.
03:01Those are definitely my sandwiches.
03:06Oh, boy.
03:17Legends.
03:23What can I say? This is a commendation job, if ever there was one. And it should go down
03:34very well with the promotions board, I dare say. Right, let's see which idiot this belongs to.
03:43Oh, come on. You lads have done enough. I just want to see who the pratty's that left it in
03:48the bank, tied up half a division, and incidentally caused such a massive traffic snarl-up that Her
03:55Majesty the Queen was late for an important state banquet this afternoon. Right, let's have a look at it.
04:01I suppose we could always look on the bright side, Bob.
04:28Bright side? Backside.
04:32Okay, fine. Let's look on the bright side. Oh, joy, oh, joy. Hoorah, hoorah. We've been suspended.
04:40We've been suspended? Oh, yes, we have. Oh, no, we haven't. According to the super's memo,
04:48we have been temporarily relieved of duties pending an investigation.
04:52We have been temporarily relieved of duties pending an investigation.
04:57If we'd been suspended, it would say suspended, wouldn't it? That's your trouble. You always have
05:04to be melodramatic. Always have to make mountains out of molehills. Dad, we were on news at ten.
05:10Trevor Macdonald called us a pair of pillocks. That was Julius Somerville.
05:17Oh, the chief constable of the Metropolitan Police said we were a disgrace to the force.
05:23To the uniform. He said we were a disgrace to the uniform. Okay, Mr Brightside, what about this?
05:30And I quote, the behaviour of the two detective constables was, to say the least, unfortunate
05:35and regrettable. What does the Queen know about police work, anyway?
05:45Okay, okay, what about bumbling bobbies in Royal Round? And look, cock-up coppers carry the can.
05:54In the house, as police cause diplomatic incidents, man with 15 nipples gives birth to crocodile.
06:01What? We weren't responsible for anything. It was you who left his handbag in the bloody bank.
06:10Mind you, what about this? You're suspended. Don't, under any circumstances, use this car.
06:16Look, we've been suspended. We've got no car. What are we going to do?
06:30Hark at you. You're always looking on the black side.
06:34Oh, I suppose you've got some fantastic plan. As a matter of fact, I have.
06:41Come on, then. What is it? We go and have a drink.
06:44Oh, brilliant. Problem solved. You know your trouble, don't you? You're just a miserable...
06:53A couple of pints down at King's Arms, that'll cheer you up.
06:55King's Arms? It's the roughest pub in London. Exactly, Bob.
07:00It's full of villains. If we want to get back in a super's good books, what we need to do
07:05is nick a villain. And where do you go around here if you want to nick a villain? King's Arms.
07:10You're mad. You know, Bob, you and I are different.
07:17There we go. You're a pessimist and I'm an optimist.
07:21We have fundamentally different attitudes to what lies ahead.
07:25You look forward into the future, you only see obstacles. When I look into the future,
07:30I see possibilities. I see opportunities. I see challenges.
07:40I can't be the big old... Yeah, I still see this as an opportunity.
07:49I hate this place.
07:52You're joking, Bob. The best pub in London, this is. A welcome as warm as the lager.
07:59It's a carzy.
08:01You've got it all wrong. This is a traditional East End pub, full of character.
08:07You haven't let any fancy dandy designers spoil the essential atmosphere of the place.
08:20Yep. Proper pub.
08:26Full of real characters.
08:28Jesus, Mary and Joseph, it's starsky and hot.
08:34Good morning, Annie. Two pints of your real estate, please.
08:37Bitters off.
08:39It's always off, just give us some.
08:42While we're here, I want a word with you.
08:46Two nights ago, me and him apprehended a motorist driving away from this pub.
08:50Oh, yeah? Was that before I was born?
08:55Oh, yeah? Was that before or after you brought the entire West End to a standstill?
09:03And he admitted that you'd served him six double whiskies before he got into his car.
09:08So what business is that of mine?
09:10Annie, he was under the limit. You've been watering the spirits again.
09:18You're in love with me, aren't you? That's why you're persecuting me.
09:21You persecute me because you're burning with desire. You can't sleep for it.
09:25Tossing and turning all night long.
09:28Thinking Annie, Annie, Annie.
09:30That name that tolls like a bell in your head on and on.
09:35Endlessly, endlessly, endlessly.
09:39Annie, Annie, Annie.
09:42Well, let me tell you this.
09:44I'm a woman alone in a man's world.
09:47And yes, I've had to be hard, bloody hard sometimes.
09:51But underneath this tough shell, there's a tiny, soft, delicate flower
09:56just waiting to be plucked.
09:58And, whoa!
09:59And, indeed, it's you who's going to pluck me, Miss Fairfax.
10:04Now, Detective, one of these days, I'm going to pull you over the formica of this bar
10:10and drag you down my back passage.
10:12I'm going to extend my hand out, who's been watering down the spirits.
10:18Now, then, here we go.
10:20And let's have no more of your nonsense.
10:24Mamma mia!
10:27What an entrance.
10:30Holy brother.
10:33I like her.
10:38All right, gentlemen, settle down.
10:39We've got a lot to get through today.
10:42I suppose today is what you might call D-Day.
10:45And, as you know, two of our colleagues from the Covert Operations Unit
10:49have managed to infiltrate the Sheldon Gang,
10:53the hardest and most vicious bunch of armed robbers in the East End.
10:57And according to intelligence they've gathered,
11:00the bank job the Sheldon Gang have been planning is finally going ahead.
11:04And it happens today.
11:06So we haven't got much time.
11:09Now, they're going to a meeting at an East End pub, popular with the local village.
11:15The King's Arms.
11:17That's where we're going to spring a trap.
11:19Now, I have to stress, two members of the gang are our boys.
11:23They spent months building up their cover.
11:26Security is so tight, even I don't know their identity.
11:28When we go in, their life is not disappearing to thin air.
11:32Now, these boys are the elite.
11:35The SAS of the police force.
11:38And they're the apple of the Chief Constable's eye.
11:40So don't go shooting them by mistake.
11:42Sir?
11:43Yes?
11:44When we spring this trap,
11:46I mean, seeing as how it's such a special operation,
11:49Detectives Briggs and Louie,
11:51they're not involved, are they?
11:57No.
11:58Thankfully, Briggs and Louie are suspended.
12:01This is one operation they won't be able to cock up.
12:05OK.
12:06OK.
12:07I'll illustrate the difference between you and me.
12:10Look at this.
12:11What's this I'm holding?
12:13Go on. What is it?
12:15A glass.
12:16Describe it to me.
12:18It's half empty.
12:20What?
12:21You see, you, being a pessimist, describe this glass as being half empty.
12:25I, as an optimist, describe it as being half full.
12:29See what I mean?
12:31Something wrong with the beer, Esther?
12:33Oh, no, no, no, no.
12:35Well, since you're asking, yes, there is.
12:37A bit cloudy for you, is it?
12:39Cloudy?
12:40It's bloody chewy.
12:43My late husband drank four pints of that beer every single night of his life, so he did.
12:49Exactly.
12:50And my grandmother washes her hair in it, so she does.
12:53Well, next time, it would be nice if we could get our hands on it before she does.
12:58Seduce me with your rough tongue.
13:00By God, you won't.
13:03I don't want to bloody seduce you.
13:06Just because you're a copper doesn't mean you can body search me whenever that fancy takes you.
13:12Can't we go somewhere else?
13:15I'm catching fleas sitting here.
13:19Faith.
13:20Trust in what fate has to offer us.
13:23Look, we're not going to get back in the soup as good books
13:25sitting in the snug of the king's arms, supping watered-down horses' plop.
13:31Don't be too sure about that.
13:33I've had a strange tingle ever since we walked in here.
13:37Call it a copper's hunch.
13:40But something doesn't smell right in here.
13:43No, it's not a hunch.
13:44That's Annie Shepard's pie.
13:47You can call it what you will, but I've got a funny feeling in me water.
13:53This guy's crazy.
13:53I've got something funny in mine, I know it.
13:59Where are you going?
14:00I'm getting them in.
14:01It's still our fault.
14:04You're learning.
14:08Not so sure.
14:12Sorry about that.
14:13One of them just walked by.
14:15Yeah, they're definitely old Bill.
14:18No, I don't think they know anything.
14:19They're just drinking.
14:22Yeah.
14:24Honest, you can trust me.
14:27Leave it to me.
14:29I'll keep them occupied.
14:31Tell the big fella that it's me and he can trust me.
14:34I'll keep him out of his way.
14:35Tell him that just because I'm...
14:38All right.
14:39It's on.
14:41All right.
15:07What are you looking at?
15:09What do you think I was looking at?
15:11I don't know.
15:13I just know, that's all.
15:16My dog tells me.
15:24Spidey says...
15:25Either of you two play pool?
15:27Me?
15:28Either of you two play pool?
15:31Yeah, I play a bit.
15:32You any good?
15:33Not bad.
15:34Fancy a game?
15:39Fifty quid.
15:41Me and my dog against you two.
16:09Whoa!
16:36Okay, so it's you
16:38and him
16:41against him and me.
16:43Fifty quid.
16:49Money up front.
16:58Sounds fair to me.
17:02Fifty quid.
17:08It's very funny.
17:10What?
17:10I said fifty, not five.
17:34Okay.
17:36Gotta hustle.
17:38Okay.
17:39Let's shoot some pool.
17:47He's good.
17:49Dog's crap.
17:53Yeah, if they lose, I'm dying.
18:01Okay, sir.
18:02They're all aboard.
18:02I'd follow them,
18:03but keep your distance.
18:08John's a cube.
18:28Come on, let's get this game started.
18:30Is the ball in the left or the right hand?
18:32Left.
18:34Bad luck.
18:35Woof!
18:39Wow, man.
18:40That's grimy.
18:59So long, stripes.
19:05I'm looking forward to this.
19:10Now, listen, cowboy.
19:12I don't want any rushes of blood
19:14to the head tonight.
19:14Sorry, sir.
19:15And remember, all of you,
19:18two of the men in the gang are ours.
19:20Yes, sir.
19:20And I repeat,
19:21even I don't know who they are.
19:23So until our men give us the signal,
19:25no fireworks, understood?
19:27Yes, sir.
19:36Woof!
19:38Beautiful dog, man.
19:46That's wrong.
19:47That'd be ridiculous.
19:48He barked just when I was taking the shot.
19:50He's a dog.
19:52Dogs bark.
19:54Even though you had to take a shot.
20:05Ha-ha-ha!
20:15It can't be the dog.
20:18I thought it is.
20:30And not a word from you.
20:35Woof!
20:38Go on, tell him about that one.
20:42Nice shot.
20:47OK, any moment now,
20:48one of the undercover men
20:49will make radio contact.
20:50The moment he does, we go in.
21:00Just going for a jimmy, boss.
21:05Before I deliver the coup de grâce,
21:07I think I'll just go and water the horses.
21:11Keep your eye on the ball.
21:22He's not going to miss that, is he?
21:26Uh, oh.
21:29Good dog.
21:30Good dog, mate.
21:31Lovely doggy you are.
21:32Good dog.
21:33Good dog.
21:51OK, lads.
21:53Before we begin, I've got something to tell you.
21:55I've heard a whisper.
21:56There are two coppers in this pub right now.
22:00Coppers?
22:01Way over there.
22:22No way, bro!
22:29It's OK.
22:32Blind Billy's taking care of them.
22:34But keep your voices down, OK?
22:37That's your fault, that is.
22:38You wanted to play him.
22:40Don't you?
22:41What?
22:42Look over there.
22:43What?
22:45Isn't that Egghead Evans?
22:49Egghead Evans.
22:51He was in police training school with us.
22:53Same year as us.
22:54Always came top.
22:57Bloody hell.
22:58Egghead Evans.
23:00It is him.
23:02What do you see?
23:02Bloody perfect.
23:04It was him who had to talk you down
23:05when you got that nosebleed on the top of the rope ladder
23:08on that assault course.
23:11He always got the girls.
23:12He stole your girlfriend, didn't he?
23:14No, I swapped her for his exam papers.
23:17I just heard of him.
23:18He was in some fancy undercover unit.
23:21All right.
23:25Wait!
23:26Egghead!
23:27Wait!
23:28Eggy!
23:32It's no use trying to hide your face.
23:35Lads.
23:35Lads, wait.
23:36Cobblers!
23:37You ain't losing another 50 quid.
23:39Look who it is.
23:40You're looking a bit rough, aren't you?
23:42He was always the best turned out cup of tinder, wasn't he, Bob?
23:46He did bloody sick, he did.
23:47What's the matter?
23:48Has the missus left you then?
23:52So.
23:53So.
23:55How's this undercover lark going, then?
23:58We'd heard you'd joined some poncy action man infiltration unit.
24:03All black polo neck sweaters and grappling hooks.
24:06Something about getting involved in armed robberies.
24:09Joining gangs and grassing them up.
24:11So what do you do then?
24:13You get dressed up as a gangster and then try and make friends with him.
24:17What does he look like, a gangster, to you?
24:20He's got copper.
24:22Written.
24:25All over him.
24:33Or are you not doing that anymore?
24:37Maybe.
24:39You've left the force.
24:40My God.
24:42Jimmy.
24:44I don't think it's him.
24:47Who?
24:48No.
24:49Wrong one.
24:53I can't see a thing.
24:56Mr. Magoo.
24:59He's a badger.
25:01Go, go, go.
25:20Good dog.
25:21Keep him covered.
25:22We've got to go.
25:23And remember, both of you, you didn't see us, okay?
25:26You didn't see either of us.
25:27You've no idea who we are.
25:29Do you understand?
25:30Oh, yes, I do.
25:31Don't you ever, ever mention my name.
25:41Shall we buy a bit of dog food?
25:46Come, play, come.
25:53Go.
26:00It was you.
26:00Not me.
26:02Not me.
26:04You mean, all along, you two?
26:09You, of all people.
26:11Sir, can't we just, you know, keep this between ourselves?
26:19If the other lads find out this is an undercover operation,
26:22and that we, uh...
26:23Louis.
26:25Your secret is safe with me.
26:27By God, it is.
26:29Sir, about our suspension.
26:32Suspension?
26:34What suspension?
26:37You're both back.
26:39Back?
26:41Back where you belong.
26:44Wow.
26:45The hell you really are.
26:52Woo!
26:54Wow.
27:10Louis and Briggs gotta keep the superintendent on his toes, man.
27:14Second guessing, my boys.
27:16These guys are so damn lucky.
27:18They need to play the lottery, man.
27:19It would be a winner here.
27:21Hold on a second.
27:22Absolutely enjoyed this episode, man.
27:25Just the right amount of intensity with these two goofballs, man.
27:28Fucking love this show.
27:30Thank you guys for hanging out.
27:31Appreciate y'all.
27:31Thank you so much.
27:33What an episode, ladies and gentlemen.
27:35Oh joy, oh joy.
27:36Hooray, hooray.
27:38We've been suspended, man.
27:40We got Starchie and Hutch.
27:42I can't speak English right now.
27:44Starchie, I can't say, man.
27:46That's how much I've been having the giggles on this episode.
27:49But we got these two lads, man, who must have the most incredible luck in the world.
27:56That introduction with Annie.
27:59She definitely got the hots for my boy, Louis, there.
28:03A tough shell, delicate flower.
28:06Wants to show her the back passage.
28:08You know, all these crazy moments there.
28:11She is going to be a memorable character.
28:13I hope that we get a chance to see her again.
28:16Just because I felt like Louis and her had some...
28:20I don't know.
28:21I felt like fireworks was going off.
28:23Sparks was going off in the air.
28:25Cupid shot the arrow.
28:27Love was in the air, man.
28:29That foreplay, that freaking flirting, seducing going on, man.
28:34I didn't know Louis had it in him, man.
28:36That guy continuously shocks me here.
28:39But you know what?
28:41Give credit to Briggs, man.
28:43You know, they got on kind of essentially the right path.
28:47He had kind of a pretty good idea on going into, you know, this pub at the East End.
28:54And, you know, this got potentially some shady characters there.
28:58So I thought Louis and Briggs were phenomenal.
29:00The case of the sandwich, man.
29:02Yo, these guys taking credit.
29:05Yo, man, they just cracked me the hell up.
29:07How the hell these guys taking credit for fucking briefcase sandwich there?
29:13In that moment there, everyone's cheering.
29:15Great job, guys.
29:16Because, you know, obviously they're thinking it's going to be...
29:19That'll be some sort of like a bomb, you know, something of that line.
29:23You know, they used...
29:25They expended a lot, a lot of resources.
29:28So, you know, again, often as much as I'm laughing and stuff,
29:32you forget there's a serious time to this show a little bit
29:35or serious bit to the show because there's, you know,
29:38they have to take care of the bad guys here.
29:41So this was great.
29:44I think that that bar scene was some of the best stuff we've seen so far.
29:49This was a really strong kickoff to the series for Series 2.
29:53And I'm definitely excited for more.
29:55We got some great characters.
29:57Yo, Eggie. Eggie.
29:59Hey, man.
30:01So how's that undercover thing going along, man?
30:04And you got these bad, you know, these bad men, these bad boys here.
30:08Oh my God.
30:09And then you could just see the look of...
30:12Like, oh my God, man.
30:14Like, I got...
30:15He's got himself in a pickle here.
30:17He's, you know, he's probably disgusted in among many things with these guys.
30:22So I'll tell you, these guys got the luck, man.
30:25They have the luck.
30:26They need to play the lottery or something like that.
30:28But at least they're in good favor.
30:31You got the superintendent second guessing these guys.
30:34You guys were the undercover guys.
30:36I mean, they got the guns.
30:37You know, they're going to take credit.
30:38If these guys are trying to basically 50 quid for a pool game,
30:46and this guy, Louie, is trying to give five quid,
30:49you know, these guys are slick in the right moments.
30:52So, you know, as much as they're goofy and they do stupid things,
30:56which is absolutely fabulous,
31:00you know, they're smart in the right moments.
31:03They're taking credit when it's not theirs to be.
31:07But you know what?
31:08At the same time, Eggie was like, don't sell anyone.
31:13You know, there's no one's really supposed to know that who is the undercover.
31:17I think superintendent said it as well.
31:19They have one of the police there saying,
31:23yeah, these guys aren't going to be around.
31:25And little do, well, we already knew that they were going to be
31:30in the right place in the right time.
31:31It's just, this is just the way these guys.
31:34Oh my God.
31:35So Annie made quite the impression.
31:38She's like, Annie, Annie.
31:40And she's going in, man.
31:41She's got the eye contact.
31:43Louie is like, I don't know if he's loving it.
31:45Disgusted.
31:46You know, he can't stand it.
31:47Oh man.
31:48That beer bit was freaking hilarious.
31:51Especially, I think what she said with the mom and dipping the hair in.
31:55Can we have the drinks before you?
31:57Your mom is putting the hair in.
32:00Oh my God.

32:05The characters are just so damn good.
32:10Man, when they were in the,
32:14when they were talking about being in the news and stuff,
32:17they did say a lady's name.
32:19I got to think that she's some sort of newspaper reporter.
32:23You guys are going to have to fill me in like Julia or something like that.
32:27Yeah.
32:27Please fill me in on that.
32:28Not familiar with that name.
