00:00I'm Carmen Lynch.
00:17My dad is from Spain.
00:18I'm Francisco Ramos.
00:19I was born in Venezuela, but I'm American.
00:23It's nice.
00:24We're already doing comedy in Spanish, so bringing it to a big venue, it gives a
00:29legitimacy and we had a lovely crowd, and it's very important for us to be able to connect
00:35with our people directly.
00:37There aren't that many shows in Spanish here.
00:39We have to self-produce a lot of shows, so it's nice to have a large audience where we
00:43can all, all from different countries, show what we do.
00:47Yes, and I think it's also great to educate the Latino audiences about stand-up in Spanish
00:54because it's still kind of new.
00:55People still don't know what to expect, so I think the more events they do, the more
00:59people are going to get familiar with what stand-up is.
01:02I live in New York.
01:04I love New York.
01:06I live here in Queens.
01:08In Reinas.
01:10Yes, I love it.
01:12We laugh with a ha, with a J-A, and that's the way it happens.
01:17We don't even try.
01:18It just happens naturally.
01:19And here also, I think the audiences are more used to another kind of storytelling with
01:27more punchy jokes and less air, so here you have to be like more, especially in New York,
01:33you have to put a lot of jokes between jokes between jokes.
01:36And here they have guns in the audience sometimes, so that's also a big difference.
01:47Yeah, I try to get a, you know, use it to get more free stuff or jobs or anything.
01:54Hey, you know, it's the only month you're like, hey, you're like, cool.
01:57And so, trying to use it.
01:59It's not even really a month.
02:00It's like September 15th through October 15th.
02:02Wow.
02:03It's almost a month.
02:04I mean, yeah, that does split it.
02:05Yeah, that's right.
02:06Because we start late.
02:07Right.
02:08And yeah, I'm just, I hope the Turkish government is watching.
02:14If they can send me money, I can, you know, I can keep quiet and don't tell jokes about this.
02:20So, please, I mean, send me money and I won't do it.
02:34It's called Artisano.
02:35It's a Peruvian restaurant by a very fancy chef.
02:38And they have the best dessert, the best suspiro de limon you've ever had in my life.
02:47Wow.
02:48I mean, I basically go to every restaurant in Astoria because they're all so different.
02:52There's a really great Japanese one, sushi called Watawa.
02:55I'm going to say that one.
02:57Yes.
02:58Well, I don't live in New York, but I heard the McDonald's in Times Square is great.
03:05Well, there's many, but I like Tacombi.
03:07I really like Tacombi.
03:08I think they're doing a good job.
03:10I mean, we're very far from Mexico and they do a great job cooking Mexican food.
03:18Yeah.
