00:00It's lovely to meet you both. Congratulations on joining an epic franchise like Sistel's Huge.
00:06How exciting is it, first of all, joining this world with some of the most incredible filmmakers
00:12in the world?
00:12It's been fantastic. The journey has been long because it's so complex, but I feel
00:20really like part of the 1% that I've been able to be part of this experience.
00:25One of the first things when anyone watches the trailer, they see the pictures,
00:29they're going to see the haircut, right? Everyone's talking to you about it, right?
00:33Surely.
00:34You know what? It's so unexpected because it was never the intention that Diana's haircut would
00:46be so iconic. For us, it was really a matter of portraying the two different Diana eight years
00:53before. It was a story. It was a story point. And also because we're in 2030,
01:00we were thinking about how girls will look like in 2030.
01:08And react to their environment in a world where manticore has dominated for eight years.
01:13So it wasn't the intention, but no, it's fine.
01:16But it's good because people are remembering it, right?
01:19Yeah, everyone's talking about it.
01:20Did you go out with that haircut at all in public?
01:23No, maybe I will. Maybe I will.
01:25I'm sure it'll be back again for the next one. I've obviously seen that Honey Bunny
01:31links to the first Citadel. Will yours or does Diana link in any way or is it kind of standalone?
01:39I think actually, though, all three series are standalone because if I think about Citadel,
01:43Honey Bunny, if you haven't seen Citadel and you don't know who Nadia is,
01:47it's not necessarily a hindrance to your enjoyment of the show.
01:53Our show does have some sort of subtle nods. I don't know if you noticed in the first episode
02:01when Diana is walking across the lead wall that there's the news of Dahlia Archer's death.
02:09But specific sort of familial relations, no, that's not part of our show.
02:14I imagine for you, though, Matilda, I've heard that you trained a lot for this.
02:19Wow.
02:20Were there any injuries on set? Because it feels like you were doing a lot in here.
02:25Yeah, I did. I did. I wanted to, but no, not really. Any injuries, no. I mean,
02:32sometimes you get kicked in the belly or you get a punch in the fist, but a little punch.
02:37It's not really, no. I mean, we had the stunt team with us was very, very careful
02:44and very protective of me because they knew that I had to do the whole show. So the fact was,
02:51okay, she can't get injured because she has to shoot like every day, 12 hours per day.
02:58So it wasn't an option.
03:00I remember Priyanka saying for the first one, it's like a dance.
03:03Yeah, it's a dance. It's actually a dance.
03:05Yeah. I'm very curious now, though, with it all being about being agents,
03:09secret agents and all this, have you as Matilda and Gina got
03:14any skills that you think would make you a good spy?
03:19Well, I'm an actress, so.
03:20Exactly. I think that I'm very agile in many different situations.
03:26And to be a good creative producer, you have to be reactive and you have to make quick decisions
03:32and you need to be able to pivot. And I think that's probably
03:39the only trait that is similar with us.
03:41I think that's good.
03:42You'd be a great spy.
03:44You're a good double, well, good at lying.
03:49I'm really not. I'm not good at lying in my personal life, but I can be.
03:55Okay.
03:55I can be. So, yeah, I think as an actress, I would be a good spy.
03:59And also, you incarnate like lots of different, you know, characters.
04:06I feel like I can be undercover very easily.
04:09I was going to say, you have a very unassuming look.
04:12Unassuming, I like that.
04:14No one would suspect you.
04:15Perfect. Yeah, because I can play you, you know.
04:18Right?
04:19Yeah, it's true.
04:19Absolutely. Absolutely. When all this was going on in terms of filming this one,
04:24did you have any idea that what was going on with the other Citadels?
04:28The writers and the showrunners would connect every couple of weeks
04:32and have these long brainstorming sessions where we were sharing what we were doing.
04:37Okay.
04:37We were exchanging ideas and offering ideas also.
04:43And so I think that sort of interconnected creativity
04:47in making our three shows was completely unique and fantastic.
04:52How about the stars of the show, though?
04:53Because there's you, there's Samantha, there's Priyanka.
04:55Like, did you guys have any kind of interaction at all?
04:59Well, we met yesterday, actually.
05:02That was so fun because we were the women of Citadel.
05:05Yeah, right?
05:06It was nice, it was fun.
05:07But you've got that connection now.
05:08Well, yeah.
05:09You are, like you say, the women of Citadel.
05:11Exactly.
05:12What a great title.
05:13Exactly.
05:13We'll do another show, the women of Citadel.
05:17Oh my god, if you guys can all unite in one.
05:20Now it's going to be a massive, massive.
05:22But if, this is just a dream, like if you can,
05:25but in the future with the ongoing Citadel franchise,
05:28if you guys can all appear together, great.
05:31I'm here for it.
05:32Good luck with Deanna.
05:33Thank you so much.
05:35Yeah, you guys have done a great job.
05:37Thank you so much.
05:38Thank you, bye.
