00:00out to big 10 country in Eugene. It is two versus three. The
00:08second ranked Ohio State Buckeyes visit third ranked
00:12Oregon on Saturday night under the lights inside Austin
00:16Stadium. And like we discussed with Ole Miss and LSU, the road
00:20team in primetime is laying more than a field goal three and a
00:25half points in favor of the Buckeyes against the Ducks. You
00:29know, how do you break down this critical big 10 battle on
00:32Saturday?
00:34Well, obviously revenge on the minds of Ohio State for what
00:37Oregon did last. Was it last year in the horseshoe or two
00:40years ago? I can't remember.
00:412021.
00:42Yeah, it was a couple years ago, regardless. So you know, that
00:46sticks with Ohio State, at least sticks with Ryan Day. The
00:48problem here for Ryan Day is that, guess what, he's kind of
00:52bad on the road, one of five ATS away from Ohio State when
00:58especially gets unbeaten opponents in the last six times
01:01he's done it. So this hasn't been a great spot for him. Ducks
01:03are also 21 and four straight up in the second of back to back
01:07conference home games, including six and two straight up five and
01:10two and one ATS versus undefeated conference, a
01:13conference opponent. So the spot bodes well here for Oregon. I'll
01:17say this much. If you're asking me for a comparison sake, I
01:20trust LSU taking the points at home more than I do Oregon
01:24because I just think genuinely Ohio State is a better team than
01:26LSU. So I don't see any additional misses. But I'm going
01:30to take Oregon here. I think this is a great spot for them to
01:33be able to win at Austin. I know it's going to be a different
01:36crowd. It's not anything different than Ohio State has
01:38seen before and some other big 10 games. But still, I like the
01:41Ducks here in this spot.
01:43If we are going to double down on this game and take a long
01:46term approach from this, both of these teams undefeated, both of
01:48these teams in the top five, Mark, who can afford the loss
01:51and still make it into the national championship? Or is it
01:54can they both afford the loss because you think it's a pretty
01:57I mean, I think Ohio State can kind of can absorb it more just
02:02because they're Ohio State and losing to a ranked opponent.
02:06You know, Oregon still has to play Illinois, they still have
02:09to travel to Michigan. These are not like, you know, common
02:12places that they also have to go to Wisconsin late in November,
02:16which also is never an easy spot to do. So I think Oregon is I
02:20think Oregon's probably got another loss along the way.
02:23Genuinely, I think they do. I don't know, necessarily that
02:26Ohio State does, other than Michigan. If Ohio State loses to
02:29Michigan this year, Ryan Day is going to get fired the moment
02:31after it happens. So there is that. But other than the Penn
02:34State move, other than having to go to Penn State, I think Ohio
02:37State is a much easier run the rest of the way out.
