00:00You just launched a scholarship fund for graduate students at the Bander School at Syracuse.
00:04Can you talk a little bit more about that?
00:06Yes, I mean, I come from a long line of music educators and was really blessed to get the opportunity to study in the States on a full scholarship at Berklee College of Music.
00:18And I've always wanted to give back to music education because that's what's given me everything.
00:26So when this opportunity came up to work with Syracuse to set up a scholarship, I was immediately on board.
00:33My manager, lawyer, and are all from that program and have really given me everything.
00:40So I was really happy to give back in some way the scholarships for international students and those with financial need.
00:48And the opportunity I got to come to study in the States was such a big one.
00:55And is, you know, directly one of the reasons why I've been able to have a career today.
01:00So I really hope that I can do that for other international students.
01:04So that's kind of it.
01:07That's amazing. And I know you have a book club.
01:09What is on your nightstand or what are you reading right now?
01:12I'm currently reading Wuthering Heights because, I mean, because I heard they were doing a movie.
01:18And I was seeing lots of quotes from it and I realized I've never read it.
01:22And it's really beautiful. It was more readable than I thought.
01:27And more romantic than I thought, like the writing.
01:32I think that's one of those books I lied about reading in high school for class.
01:36No, because it is one of those books that you lie about reading.
01:38And I probably lied about reading it and I realized that I actually haven't read it.
01:43But this is your endorsement to read it.
01:46Yes. Yeah, I got it on my Kindle and it's good.
01:51And besides Wuthering Heights, is there anything else you've read this year that has especially moved you?
01:56Well, I read Hamnet this year by Maggie O'Farrell.
01:59And I really love that. It's like a strong kind of female story.
02:03And it is therefore the pick for my book club this month.
02:09And I know Kaia Gerber is here tonight. Maybe there will be a book club collaboration in your futures.
02:15A book club crossover. Yeah, I'll have to talk to her about that.
