00:03What a pleasure to welcome to People VIP
00:06my countrywoman, Miss Universe Colombia,
00:09Daniela Tolosa, and also my cousin, Rocha.
00:12Yes, we look like distant cousins, Kiko.
00:15It's a pleasure for you and all the audience of People in Spanish.
00:19I'm happy to share these moments with you.
00:22Dani, what a thrill, how good, you are already in the final stretch,
00:26more than prepared, beautiful, really inside and out,
00:29and with very clear goals.
00:33Your mission as an ambassador of all this issue of mental health,
00:38as a designer.
00:39Well, tell us a little bit, quickly, quickly, Dani,
00:43about you and about this final stretch,
00:46ready for November 16 in Mexico.
00:49Of course, well, I'll tell you quickly,
00:51I'm a wardrobe designer
00:53and I've been working in the fashion industry in my country for 8 years.
00:58As we know, it is a country full of talent,
01:01Colombian, wonderful designers,
01:04but with something very special,
01:06and it is the inclusion in the fashion industry.
01:08We have such powerful processes, Kika, for example,
01:11in the prisons of Colombia,
01:13with women who are deprived of freedom,
01:16where we do the sewing production processes
01:19of the garments that come out for export,
01:22worthy of export with all the quality,
01:25so that these women are given work opportunities.
01:28On the other hand, I have also had the privilege of sharing
01:31and being the coordinator of a project called
01:34Passarela de Inclusión, which I know you have also heard about,
01:37which is a regional project at the governmental level,
01:40where we have different populations,
01:43such as people with disabilities,
01:45older adults, women of all ages.
01:47So my work towards my universes is to bring inclusion,
01:51but real inclusion,
01:53where opportunities are given to all these populations
01:56to move forward,
01:58either in personal or professional development.
02:00How nice, also from different areas,
02:03and I love this topic of fashion,
02:06and this project of prisons,
02:09and these women who with their hands
02:11really do beautiful things.
02:13I have very beautiful pieces made in different prison centers,
02:18which are really a beauty,
02:20and for them it is a great opportunity,
02:23a mental therapy, as I told you at the beginning,
02:25which also helps to get out of the closet.
02:28Dani, what else are you doing to prepare yourself?
02:31Because we already talked about those strong flags
02:33that you bring to Mexico,
02:35but let's talk about you.
02:36How have these last weeks of preparation,
02:38training, dressing been?
02:40Of course, I imagine that you will also have
02:43one or the other thing designed or created by you.
02:46Tell us.
02:47Of course, I have my clothing brand,
02:49which I am also creating during this process,
02:52where I want to bet on sustainability,
02:55and of course I want to bring a lot of Colombian talent,
02:58because we have so much wealth
03:01in our country of designers,
03:03and on the other hand, as you say, Kika,
03:05it has been a very demanding process,
03:07class of walkways, class of English, history.
03:11Really, the path of a queen is an arduous path,
03:15but rewarding when you know
03:17why you are going to go to Miss Universe,
03:19and it is not so that they see the most divine look,
03:21and it is not so that they tell you that you are the most beautiful,
03:24but really to carry a message.
03:26So, it has been a beautiful process.
03:28I also focus a lot on my training in my mind,
03:31because I say, when you are focused
03:34and you know what you are going to do,
03:36and you have it very clear in your mind,
03:38that gives you a lot of clarity and opens up the paths.
03:41Sure, without a doubt, without a doubt.
03:43Everything starts from that inner preparation,
03:46from that strength that you have,
03:48that beautiful energy,
03:50that I swear to you also shines in your physique,
03:53and in that special and warm smile that you have.
03:57I don't know, well, the typical suit,
03:59I always ask myself if I know that details cannot be revealed,
04:02but is everything ready?
04:04Everything is ready, and I can tell you about the typical suit,
04:07which is inspired by the connection
04:10that we have in the countries of Colombia with Mexico.
04:12We have many things in common,
04:15and what we also want is to exalt the culture of the country
04:18that is going to host us next November.
04:21So, it has been a work done with respect,
04:23with Colombian designers,
04:25where we are going to exalt the best of the two countries.
04:28Who is making the suit?
04:30If you can know, I imagine you can.
04:32Sure, the typical suit is Randy Severice,
04:35an incredible person, very talented,
04:38who has accompanied us in previous versions of Miss Universe,
04:41and has definitely shone on stage.
