After six long months, the Senate is set to resume its inquiry into the reported human trafficking, rape, sexual abuse and violence, and child abuse cases of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) Church leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
This was announced Thursday, Oct. 10, by Senator Risa Hontiveros, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality. She said that they would write to the concerned courts for Quiboloy's appearance.

00:00Okay. So, the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality will hear from Apollo Quiboloy on Wednesday, October 23, more than half a year after we suspended at 10 a.m.
00:25Thank you. First question, Aviseli.
00:27Will Pastor Quiboloy be allowed to go to court?
00:32The committee will write again to the court so that, like other resource persons who are in the custody of the court or the law enforcement, they can ask for permission to bring him here to the hearing.
00:48What do you expect will happen at the hearing? Will they face witnesses against the complainants?
00:58Yes. Some of the victim survivors have already witnessed what will happen. And there are new victim survivors who will be brought to justice. That's how they will confront their former leader.
01:17How many new survivors?
01:19I cannot say the exact number, but over the past seven months that we suspended, there were people who reached out to my office and to our committee because they also witnessed the first hearings and witnessed the witnesses of their former victim survivors.
