Kemenlu Sebut 79 WNI Dievakuasi Karena Situasi Lebanon Memburuk

00:00The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has evacuated 79 Indonesian citizens from Lebanon since
00:07August to October 10, 2024.
00:11In a statement, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, who was received on Friday
00:15October 11, explained that the evacuation was carried out in accordance with the situation
00:20in Lebanon, which continues to deteriorate due to the increasing intensity of the Israeli
00:24attack, especially around the city of Beirut.
00:28Menlo Retno mentioned that the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut has increased the status
00:34of being a host since August 4, 2024.
00:38This status is applied because the situation is considered to be potentially endangering
00:42the safety of the UNI that lives in Lebanon.
00:45We see that the Israeli attack is getting more intense, including in Beirut and the KBRI
00:53The evacuation was carried out via Beirut-Jeddah-Dubai-Jakarta, Gelembang-Keenang-Takeoff, and Beirut-9-October
01:14for 14 UNI and arrived yesterday at Suta on October 10.
01:22Retno further said that the total UNI that has been successfully evacuated is at least
01:2779 people plus one foreign citizen, who is a partner of the UNI.
01:33According to the KBRI-Beirut data, there are still at least 85 UNI in Lebanon that are
01:39not ready to be evacuated.
01:41The majority are those who married Lebanese citizens.
01:45The Indonesian government continues to monitor the situation and is ready to evacuate if needed.
