Elon Musk pins Tesla’s future on the Cybercab
Elon Musk is set to unveil Tesla’s long-awaited robotaxi, which he believes will turbocharge the company’s market valuation into the trillions of dollars.

Self-driving taxis have been launched in cities across America with mixed results, losing billions of dollars and incurring the wrath of regulators.

Musk, however, sees the Cybercab as the future of Tesla and said the fully autonomous vehicles would work via a dedicated ride-hailing platform. Tesla owners will be able to make money from their cars by renting them out, Musk has said, an arrangement he has described as a “combination of Airbnb and Uber”.

01:08the operating cost is probably going to be around 20 cents a mile.
01:13And price, including taxes and everything else,
01:16probably ends up being 30 or 40 cents a mile.
