00:00Absolutely, I think it encourages us to do better, to, I mean we were fortunate enough
00:11to get a lot of love for season 1, and it only motivated us, it set a standard for us
00:16and our heads also, yeah we need these expectations, we want to go beyond them, yeah, yeah, yeah,
00:21and so yeah, I mean it really pushes us.
00:25I think when season 1 came out, I had more expectations from myself, because I was like
00:33okay I've done this now, I need to do better, and I wanted to go complete, like all out
00:41in season 2, and it definitely influenced my performance because the reactions of the
00:49fans were crazy after season 1, and I don't know where people recognized me, I went to
00:53Vietnam and people recognized me there, before the release I was in Dharamshala recently,
00:59and there randomly, like you know I go everywhere and people call me Highway Love, it's a good
01:04thing, they call me by my screen name, so that feels very very special, even before the release,
01:12last year the show was released, and the fans still remember me, so I think it feels very
01:18special.
01:21Even for me, they call me Dhundhun, Dhundhun, Dhundhun, Dhundhun, they call me by a different
01:26name, and just the, like when there are messages like this, you know when the audience believes
01:34with you, and they message you saying, we are here for you, so it just feels nice that
01:42they believe in me, they think about me, they care about me, which is a great thing, I can't
01:51explain how loved I feel.
01:55In so many reels and edits people say, if you have a girlfriend you are like Enaya,
02:00or if you have a boyfriend, it feels nice that they idealise our relationship so much,
02:04and relate it to their lives.
02:12I feel like love stories as a whole, there will be a similar pattern, because it's ultimately
02:18meeting and falling in love, it's about how the treatment of the show, which is very different
02:24obviously, but the storyline obviously, I mean it's love, and the treatment is what
02:29I feel like is different in our show, which is relatable and very, like it's a specific
02:34sense of humour which our director has, which if you know, you know, if you watch the show
02:39you know, he's a very funny guy, so I feel like that's what sets our story apart, and
02:46our couple, like Hrithik and I, I feel like we are very unconventional, as a couple you
02:51wouldn't expect us to be playing together, but I feel like it's been working really
02:56well for us, and people are liking it, so I think that's what is our university.
03:06I think the same as we said in the last thing that, you know, I don't think we are,
03:12I mean of course, meet, cute sir, you can change locations, you can change a certain
03:17pattern, but the feeling of love is universal, and you know, like you also have to cater
03:23to a larger audience and all.
03:25And you can always, I said the grand dramas are also repetitive, the entertainment as
03:30a whole can be repetitive, but it's about bringing new and freshness to the scene, and
03:36how people, like, covering the same subjects, but with a different flair, and a different
03:41mindset, and through, because this is such a creative medium, and people express different
03:48emotions, so I feel like love stories can never get old, because all of us want to fall
03:53in love, human beings are fat animals, we love love, so how can you get tired of watching
03:59love?
04:00And I think season 2 is very different from that, I think.
04:05We delve deeper into the relationship, and I think it's away from, I think the repeatability
04:10that we're talking about.
04:11It's very complex, very real, we've tried to stay as close to realism as possible, it's
04:18not about, it's not filming at all, so if you're a fan of real cinema, real life stories,
04:24then it's amazing.
04:31I think we're very close, exactly, like, we're so close, and we're such great friends
04:34that we know each other really well, so whatever anyone else has to say, it doesn't really
04:41matter, like, if someone comes to me tomorrow and says something about Gayatri, I'll probably
04:45say it back, or, you know, I won't believe them, because I know Gayatri so well.
04:50Yeah, same.
04:51And I feel like, before even believing it, like, my first instinct would be to talk to
04:57him, and to be like, ya sun, isme aisa bola, maine usko chukkar aati hai, but dekho bata
05:03rahi ho that this person is not your friend, like, that's what my reaction would be.
05:06Very protective.
05:07Yeah, very protective of one another, for sure.
05:10Because, also, like, we were playing this and that, or guess what the other person's
05:16favourite thing is, and he got all the answers, like, bang on, and so did I, so it was like,
05:22what, how do we know this about each other?
05:24It's crazy.
05:25I feel like, kyunki teen shows mein main saath mein kaam kiya hai toh isse, so familiarity
05:29toh hai.
05:30We spend so much time together, and I think, again, like, it reflects on something, actually.
05:39I mean, see, I think there's nothing wrong with, malabh, type ka score ek negative connotation
05:46de diya hai, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
05:49And see, I don't have contacts in the industry, or, you know, I'm not from the industry, so
05:56for the longest time, I've only done things, or have been able to do things, jisme yah
06:02toh main audition crack ki hai, ya, you know, the things that have been offered to me, so
06:08by luck, and I wouldn't complain, because it has made me reach this point, but by luck,
06:13it's mostly been, you know, rom-coms, or love stories, and har baar middle cut jaate
06:19hai, toh log kya the.
06:20But you're also very good at that, you're so good at being vulnerable on screen, that
06:25it's amazing to watch you, and people can see through the screen, this person, because
06:30you're honest to your performance.
06:32So, it's worked in your favor.
06:34Yeah, exactly, I'm not completely, like, so for me, it doesn't have a negative connotation
06:38to it, but, of course, as an actor, you want to try different things, you want to try different
06:42characters, because that keeps you on your toes, right, there's a challenge, so, and
06:47I think that's what Jamla Paar also did for me, like, after the series of rom-coms, and
06:52tuition, college stories, it was something different, it was something that I was looking
06:57forward to, so, so yeah, I mean, when the time was right, yeah, things were fine.
07:02I just personally feel that it's actually a matter of privilege to be typecast also,
07:09because that means people are really into what I'm doing.
07:12It's working.
07:13They're connecting.
07:14Acha yeh toh yeh woh, yeh woh hai na, like, she's done this, toh yeh dubaara wohi kar
07:17rahi hai, and they're able to see ki, oh, if it's a love story, or if she's, she's a boss
07:22babe, so that is a, I find that it's a matter of privilege, that people are able to remember
07:28my work, and it means I'm working, I'm a working actor, it's better than being a non-working
07:35actor sitting at home, saying no to things, because pehle mujhe aisa lagta tha ki, you
07:40have to do new things, you have to keep evolving, but sometimes, being on set itself teaches
07:45you, even if it is the same genre, it's the same zone, if you're working, you are learning
07:50something every day, so just being on set means the world to me, so I, I love working,
07:57I love acting, so, which is why I don't mind being typecast, but at the same time, of course,
08:02if me rightly said that, I want to evolve as an actor as well, so, if given an opportunity,
08:08I would, of course, love to do something completely different, completely out of my comfort zone,
08:12but till such time, I'm just very grateful to be able to work with people.
08:16Like, jaise typecast ki kaafi log, jaise, Sir Vs.
08:20Dabur, he's a mega action star, toh kehne woh toh keh sakte hai ki, haan, ki, subhashini,
08:26ya, you know, so, but they let you, it's, they're known for that, so I don't,
08:33Shahrukh and Kadrola are the most iconic, and you see them, woh matlak, they define my
08:44childhood, they define what love I saw for the first time on screen, that beauty of love
08:50and that innocence, all at the same time, so woh toh evergreen hai, Shahrukh and Kadrola
08:54are, I think, for me, iconic, same for me, same for me, the best, of the best.
09:03I have currently not signed any new projects, I'm debating for some, for, you know, honestly
09:09to develop a new skill set very, very soon, and to involve myself as an actor, and then
09:14maybe, you know, do something a little out of my comfort zone, and, for you?
09:23For you, likewise, I haven't signed anything, I'm leading a couple of things, but they're
09:29nothing concrete as of now, and, ya.
09:32But a message for our fans, guys, please watch Highway Love, if you haven't already,
09:37because season 2 is going to, like, blow your mind, because so much is happening, you've
09:41never seen us that intense together, it's, I think, our most intense series yet, so if
09:46you like drama, you love romance, and with a little bit of sprinkled chemistry and, like,
09:52fun stuff, so, like, definitely do this and watch Highway Love.
09:55Share it with your friends, family, you know, you'll have a ball for the night.
09:58Watch it with your friends, your family, everyone, your loved ones, it's a nice weekend watch,
10:03so, ya.
