01:04We have quite a show for you tonight.
01:07I think you're going to like it.
01:10As you can see, I just arrived in the robo-taxi, the cyber cab.
01:16And there's 20 more where that came from.
01:26So they've been traveling.
01:28There's no people in them, as you can see.
01:30Cars just going by with no people.
01:38We have 50 fully autonomous cars here tonight.
01:45So you'll see Model Ys and the cyber cab, all driverless.
01:53You'll be able to take a ride in the cyber cab.
01:56There's no steering wheel or pedals.
02:02So I hope this goes well.
02:06I think the cost of autonomous transport will be so low
02:11that you can think of it like individualized mass transit.
02:17The average cost of a bus per mile for a city,
02:21not the ticket price because that is subsidized,
02:23but the average price is about $1 a mile.
02:26Whereas the cost of a cyber cab, we think probably over time,
02:32the operating cost is probably going to be around $0.20 a mile.
02:38And price, including taxes and everything else,
02:40probably ends up being $0.30 or $0.40 a mile.
02:44So, yes, and you won't be able to buy one.
02:46Yes, exactly.
02:53And we expect the cost to be below $30,000.
02:58We do expect actually to start fully autonomous, unsupervised FSD
03:08in Texas and California next year.
03:14And that's obviously, that's with the Model 3 and Model Y.
03:18And then we expect to be in production with the cyber cab,
03:22which is really highly optimized for autonomous transport
03:29in probably, well, I tend to be a little optimistic with time frames,
03:34but in 2026.
03:40Before 2027, let me put it that way.
03:44When you get in, you'll see like it's really quite a wild experience
03:48to just be in a car with no steering wheel, no pedals, no controls,
03:53and it feels great.
03:55Something we're also doing is, and it's really high time we did this,
03:58is inductive charging.
04:02Inductive charging.
04:05So the robotaxi has no plug.
04:09It just goes over the inductive charger and charges.
04:13So, yeah, it's kind of how it should be.
04:18Oh, and also, what happens if you need a vehicle
04:24that is bigger than a Model Y?
04:27The Robovan.
04:34The Robovan is, this is, we're going to make this,
04:39and it's going to look like that.
04:41Now, can you imagine going down the streets
04:43and you see this coming towards you?
04:46That'd be sick.
04:54So this can carry up to 20 people
04:56and it can also transport goods.
04:58So you can configure it for goods transport within a city
05:02or transport up to 20 people at a time.
05:06So this is going to, the Robovan is what's going to solve for high density.
05:12So if you want to take a sports team somewhere
05:15or you're looking to really get the cost of travel down to,
05:21I don't know, 5, 10 cents a mile,
05:23then you can use the Robovan.
05:26Some people call it the Robovan, but...
05:30Speaking of robots...
05:36So everything we've developed for our cars,
05:39the batteries, power electronics, the advanced motors,
05:43gearboxes, the software, the AI inference computer,
05:49it all actually applies to a humanoid robot.
05:53It's the same techniques.
05:55It's just a robot with arms and legs instead of a robot with wheels.
06:01And we've made a lot of progress with Optimus.
06:07And as you can see, we started out with someone in a robot suit.
06:14And then we've progressed dramatically year after year.
06:19So if you extrapolate this,
06:22you're really going to have something spectacular.
06:25Something that anyone could own.
06:28So you could have your own personal R2D2 C-3PO.
06:36And I think at scale, this would cost something like,
06:42I don't know, $20,000, $30,000.
06:44Probably less than a car, is my prediction, long term.
06:48It'll take us a minute to get to the long term.
06:53But fundamentally, at scale, the Optimus robot,
06:56you should be able to buy an Optimus robot
06:59for, I think, probably $20,000 to $30,000 long term.
07:03And what can it do?
07:05It'll be able to do anything you want.
07:07So it can be a teacher, babysit your kids,
07:10it can walk your dog, mow your lawn, get the groceries.
07:14Just be your friend, serve drinks.
07:18Whatever you can think of, it will do.
07:22And yeah, it's going to be awesome.
07:25And I think this will be the biggest product ever of any kind.
