00:00Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the times Dragon Ball characters
00:16pulled off the ultimate flexes.
00:32Number 10 – A Lesson in Super Saiyan
00:35Vegeta's days of mayhem and mercilessly executing his foes may be behind him, but that doesn't
00:41mean he's not above teaching a wayward Saiyan a lesson in manners.
00:56After coming under attack from Broly and his pups, Vegeta takes the opportunity to demonstrate
01:01all the forms a Saiyan can attain.
01:18From the classic gold all the way to godly red, Vegeta schools his junior completely
01:24and utterly, and it is amazing to watch, especially when rendered in such gorgeous
01:29animation.
01:43Number 9 – The First Flash
01:46Heads up, there's a lot of Vegeta here, but when the Prince of Saiyans is pulling
01:51off stunts like this, it's impossible not to highlight them.
02:01After attaining his perfect form, Cell makes quick work of practically everyone, including
02:06Vegeta, whose pride and ego is instantly shattered when his punches stop making an impact.
02:21Enraged and humiliated, Vegeta pulls out all the stops, namely his ultimate finishing move.
02:32The blast is so intense that not only does it take off half of Cell's body, but also
02:49illuminates a fraction of the planet.
02:58Number 8 – Goku Gets Back in the Fight
03:01After exhausting the power of Ultra Instinct, it looked like Goku was out for the count.
03:06That would have been all well and good if it weren't for Jiren getting his second wind.
03:19Empowered beyond his maximum, the alien warrior lays waste to both Freeza and Android 17,
03:25dooming Universe 7's prospect of survival.
03:35That is, until a torn and tattered Goku emerges to throw himself back into the fray, and in
03:42doing so unites two former enemies into a last bastion, while also letting loose some
03:48impressive ki energy.
03:56Number 7 – Vegeta Rises
03:59Tangoing with Kid Buu is no easy feat.
04:02The pink planet destroyer can knock around the likes of Goku when he's fully kitted
04:07out as a Super Saiyan 3.
04:15So you can guess just how badly he was able to smack around base-level Vegeta.
04:20And yet, despite being mauled and literally beaten into the ground, the Saiyan prince
04:25refuses to go down without a fight.
04:37His sheer tenacity and unwillingness to fall is so intense that it even strikes fear into
04:42a creature as single-minded as Buu.
04:58Number 6 – Gohan Gets Serious
05:01In what feels like the only time Gohan has truly been given respect since he defeated
05:06Cell, this brief yet glimmering brawl against Super Buu showcased what an adult Gohan would
05:13look like if he was still the main character.
05:24Following his training with the old guy, Gohan makes a last-second appearance to save Piccolo
05:29and his brother, and single-handedly wrecks Buu in the most satisfyingly disrespectful
05:35way.
05:44It may not have lasted long, but this display of ferocity reminded us that Goku's firstborn
05:50is indeed a beast.
05:58Number 5 – Goku No-Sells Frieza's Punch
06:02Goku and Frieza's long-awaited rematch within Super certainly had its peaks, especially
06:07when it came to the reveal of their newly-acquired ultimate forms.
06:14Initially, it appeared that Golden Frieza was able to match Goku beat-for-beat, perhaps
06:24even best the likes of Super Saiyan Blue.
06:27That is, until Goku shut him down with this epic display.
06:39Not only does he eat one of Frieza's punches without flinching, but responds in kind with
06:44a one-inch strike that leaves the tyrant reeling.
06:48That's hardcore.
06:57Number 4 – Trunks Destroys Future Androids
07:00While the likes of 17 and 18 in the current timeline were able to redeem themselves, that
07:06was not the case for those who resided in Trunks' future.
07:17The last time the Son of Vegeta encountered this lethal duo, they decisively wrecked him.
07:23This time, very different results.
07:34Thanks to the intense amount of training he endured, Trunks was on a whole different level,
07:39which he swiftly proved by annihilating 17, 18 and Imperfect Cell like they were Cybermen.
07:46Avenging all he had lost in the process, payback is sweet.
07:58Number 3 – Super Saiyan 2
08:01Not since his daddy first went golden has a transformation rocked the foundations of
08:06anime itself.
08:18After some encouragement from 16, followed by Cell killing him, Gohan finally snaps and
08:23showcases the latent power he had inside him.
08:34This new form not only comes with plenty more hair spikes, but a zero-tolerance for Cell's
08:39wicked ways, leading to Gohan laying down the law and beating the perfect android and
08:46his progeny to near extinction without breaking a sweat.
08:57This point in time, Gohan was the single strongest character the series had ever seen, and it
09:02was amazing to witness.
09:16Number 2 – Final Atonement
09:18Vegeta's relapse into evil initially looked like the end of any kind of redemption arc
09:24he had been building towards.
09:31Happy to embrace the dark side again for another chance to best Goku, he had traded his new
09:36life away then and there, and then he turned everything around with an act that was as
09:41selfless as it was demonstrably amazing.
09:49Facing off against Majin Buu, Vegeta unleashes an attack of such magnitude that it claims
09:55his own life in the process, but not before giving his final farewells to those he now
10:01realises he's come to care for, including Goku.
