00:00Many years after the rapture hits the world, demonic human-eating creatures known as the
00:04Burned Ones haunt the woods.
00:06At the same time some survivors form a cult that consider speech a sin and remove their
00:09vocal cords to never speak again.
00:12Azriel and Kenan manage to escape that cult and are now surviving alone in the forest.
00:16One day Azriel hears a noise among the trees and gets nervous, so she quickly puts out
00:19the fire Kenan started.
00:21She's still on the verge of a panic attack, so Kenan comforts her with affection.
00:25In return, Azriel gifts him a bracelet she made with branches and plants.
00:29At that moment they hear the noise again and realize it's whistling, which means the
00:32cult members are coming after them.
00:34The couple starts to run and Kenan decides they should split, so they run in opposite
00:38directions.
00:39Unfortunately Azriel is soon found by a cult member that begins chasing her, but when she
00:43tries to run back, another member captures her and hits her in the stomach to weaken
00:46her.
00:47Then the men drag her through the woods and Azriel notices Kenan has been caught as well.
00:51When they reach the road, Kenan tries to escape, but the cult members threaten him with a machete.
00:56Then he and Azriel are put in the trunks of different cars and taken away.
01:00Eventually the road splits and Azriel is horrified to see each car takes a different lane.
01:04She pounds on the trunk to try to get it open but it doesn't work.
01:07Moments later, the car stops and the cultists take Azriel to a specific spot in the woods.
01:12There are more cult members waiting including Josephine, one of the leaders.
01:16Azriel is tied to a chair and Josephine makes a cut on her leg to make her bleed, intending
01:20to use her as a sacrifice.
01:21The wind immediately starts blowing rather ominously, shaking the bottles hanging on
01:25the trees.
01:26Josephine and the cultists move away and start panting loudly as the silent equivalent of
01:30a chant.
01:31Soon a burned one appears among the trees and roars before making its way toward the
01:34chair.
01:35Azriel freaks out and keeps on pulling until she manages to break one of the armrests.
01:39A cultist immediately comes back to keep her from escaping and Azriel struggles against
01:43his hold until she accidentally stabs him in the neck with a broken wood.
01:46Then the man tries to walk away, only for the burned one to jump on him and start eating
01:50him.
01:51Azriel watches in shock while using her free hand to undo the other straps until she's
01:54finally free and can run away.
01:56Josephine and the other cultists have been looking the other way as part of the ritual
01:59and they don't notice Azriel is gone until it's too late.
02:02At the same time the burned one takes the dead man's body on its way out.
02:06Sometime later Azriel stops by the river to wash her wound, she also gathers some herbs
02:10that she wraps around it.
02:11While she's working, a burned one slowly approaches her from behind.
02:15Luckily she hears it before it gets too close and runs to hide inside an abandoned building.
02:19Azriel chooses the darkest spot she can find and stays still while the burned one peeks
02:23inside looking for her.
02:25Since it can't see her, it ends up leaving.
02:27Afterward Azriel finds the road and starts following the tire marks until she finds the
02:31cult's camp.
02:32She carefully sneaks around and finds a hidden spot on the fence that she can open up to
02:35get inside.
02:37Azriel continues to move silently, keeping an eye on the guard to avoid being seen.
02:41After hiding behind a car, she discovers Kenan's bracelet abandoned near some chains and assumes
02:45the worst.
02:46At that moment Josephine and her men come back so Azriel sneaks around again to keep
02:50an eye on her.
02:51She hides behind a tent and watches Josephine check on a sick old lady.
02:55Then Josephine enters the chapel, where the cultists are watching the main leader Miriam.
02:59She's pregnant but this doesn't stop her from going through the ritual in which she listens
03:02to the wind coming through a hole because it supposedly speaks God's will.
03:06After several minutes of listening to the wind, Miriam blows out the altar candles and
03:09everyone leaves.
03:11Josephine stays to let Miriam slap her for failing the ritual in the forest, but they're
03:14suddenly interrupted by a noise outside.
03:17When Miriam looks out the window, she sees nothing because Azriel manages to hide under
03:20the building just in time.
03:23Josephine comes out to investigate so Azriel has to keep moving around to avoid being seen.
03:27For a moment she thinks she's successful, but suddenly Josephine appears next to her
03:31and grabs her legs to stop her from escaping.
03:33Then Josephine starts choking Azriel, who pushes her off and kicks her in the face.
03:37A desperate Azriel runs around the camp, trying not to be seen.
03:41Josephine rings a bell to alert everyone about an intruder, and soon everyone is hitting
03:45their bottles and pans to pass the message.
03:47Azriel is seen by a few cultists who start chasing her, so she hurries to the fence and
03:51hurts her hands on the barbed wire to uncover the hole quickly and cross the fence.
03:55Her foot gets stuck and a man grabs it to try to pull her back in, but Azriel keeps
03:59on fighting until she manages to kick him off and gets her leg out.
04:02Another cult member opens fire, however the bullet hits a tree and Azriel gets to escape.
04:07She runs through the woods as fast as possible until it's dark and she's too tired to keep
04:10going.
04:11As her wounds are still open, she's leaving bloodstains all over the rocks and trees,
04:15and soon a burned one starts following the smell.
04:18Azriel sees it licking her blood off a rock and immediately starts running again as the
04:21creature begins chasing her.
04:23To make matters worse, a second burned one appears and joins the chase as well.
04:27Fortunately the first burned one trips and falls, giving Azriel the chance to reach the
04:31road untouched.
04:32Suddenly a light appears in front of her and she falls as something huge approach her.
04:36It's a truck, which stops right before it could hit her.
04:38The driver comes out and after the initial shock of seeing her, he asks if she's a survivor
04:42as he helps her up.
04:44Azriel is confused and can't answer any of his questions, instead she gets in the truck
04:47and desperately pounds on it as a way to ask him to get going.
04:50The man gets back on the wheel and drives throughout the night.
04:53He gives Azriel a cloth for her wound and explains he lives at the end of the road,
04:57where he has plenty of food.
04:58Azriel doesn't understand his language and shows him the cross-shaped scar on her neck,
05:02trying to make him realize she can't speak.
05:04The guy still doesn't get it and keeps on trying to make conversation to no avail.
05:09When he gives up, he turns on the radio and Azriel is amazed by the music.
05:12They barely get to ride a few miles when suddenly the driver is hit in the head by a bullet.
05:16The cultist in the middle of the road fires a couple more times yet he misses every shot
05:19because the truck has lost control.
05:22Azriel tries to take over the wheel but the body is in the way and the truck ends up running
05:25over the guy before crashing against a wall.
05:28After a few minutes of being unconscious, Azriel wakes up in a dizzy state because her
05:31head is heavily bleeding.
05:33She takes a few steps out of the truck and falls to her knees in pain, only to notice
05:36the cultist is still alive.
05:38Azriel jumps on him and starts fighting him for the gun, hitting his head twice before
05:42they shoot the gun by accident and begin rolling into the forest.
05:45When they split, the man tries to shoot her again and discovers he's out of bullets, so
05:49he uses the gun to hit Azriel's legs instead.
05:51At that moment she finds the fallen magazine and hits the cultist on the head with it a
05:55couple of times before kicking him off.
05:57Then Azriel crawls toward the gun and loads it, only for the man to grab her from behind
06:00and try to choke her.
06:02In the struggle, she manages to position the gun and fire it, killing the man at last.
06:07Afterward Azriel wanders through the forest with the gun.
06:09Near a tree she's shocked to see a fire, so she approaches slowly only to discover it's
06:13Kenan nailed to the tree.
06:14When she's about to reach him, she accidentally steps on a trap and a rope closes around her
06:18leg, leaving her hanging upside down from a branch.
06:21Then a cultist shows up and grabs the gun, hitting Kenan with it.
06:25At that moment the wind begins blowing quite strongly and the cultist gets distracted.
06:29Azriel tries to climb up the rope, but she ends up hurting her hands even more.
06:33When she looks down again, the cultist is gone.
06:36Suddenly the man is pushed against a tree by a burned one, who begins eating its dinner.
06:40As a second burned one appears to help its fellow beast kill the cultist, a desperate
06:43Azriel tries to climb up the rope again while ignoring the unbearable pain in her hands.
06:48She reaches the top of the tree just in time to watch a third burned one join the other
06:51two as they feed on the guy.
06:53Once the creatures are done with the cultist, one of them leaves with the body, but the
06:56second one jumps on Kenan to kill him too.
06:59Kenan's body is also dragged away after some bites while the third beast starts climbing
07:02up the tree.
07:04Azriel has to stop moving to remove the rope from her leg and this gives the burned one
07:07time to catch up to her, pushing her against the branch with impressive strength.
07:11When it's about to bite her, Azriel puts the rope around its neck and pushes it off the
07:14tree, also falling in the process.
07:17She survives the fall but the beast is hanging dead.
07:20Sometime later, Azriel returns to the cultist camp with the gun.
07:23Hiding behind a tree, she whistles to pretend she's one of the cultists.
07:27Soon Josephine brings a small group of followers into the forest to investigate, leaving the
07:31way open for Azriel to sneak into the camp using the same hole in the fence as last time.
07:35She carefully makes her way into the chapel and finds Miriam, who shows off her pregnant
07:39belly to appear weak.
07:41When Azriel hesitates to shoot, Miriam quickly disarms and hits her on the head with a pan.
07:45As Azriel falls, she scratches Miriam's belly.
07:48Afterward Josephine and her group drag Azriel to a grave in the forest.
07:52They spread her blood on her face while listening to the blowing wind before throwing her into
07:55the casket, which they quickly close and cover with dirt.
07:58Azriel begins freaking out and hitting the wood, but nobody helps her.
08:02When the burial is done a lantern suddenly is turned on at Azriel's feet, revealing a
08:05tunnel connected to the casket.
08:07Bringing the lantern with her, Azriel begins crawling through the tunnel, only to find
08:11a burned one at the back.
08:12She immediately turns around and moves as fast as possible to return to the casket while
08:16the creature follows her and soon is crawling on top of her.
08:19However instead of eating her, it smells her hand and recognizes the smell of Miriam's blood,
08:23causing it to roar in approval and leave.
08:26Feeling safe, Azriel tries the tunnel again and this time she manages to escape.
08:30Moments later, Josephine runs out of the chapel when she hears a noise and she's horrified
08:34to discover that the tent with the old lady is on fire.
08:37A cultist raises the alarm while the others work together to try to put the fire off,
08:40however it's too late, the old lady is dead and the flames are already spreading through
08:44the camp.
08:45This provides Azriel with the perfect cover to sneak around and shoot the cult members
08:48one by one.
08:50Josephine watches in horror and tries to move away, only for Azriel to shoot her in the
08:53stomach so she'll die slowly.
08:55As everyone panics and tries to run away, the fire reaches a gas canister and causes
08:59a small explosion.
09:01A man is devastated to discover his girlfriend has been shot down and picks up a gun to fight
09:05back, exchanging shots with Azriel as they both sneak around.
09:08While the fire destroys the camp little by little, the man wanders around in confusion
09:12because he can hear whistling coming from multiple corners.
09:15Thinking Azriel is messing with him, he shoots the first shadow he sees, only to discover
09:19he's killed a fellow member.
09:21The shock leaves him frozen and Azriel uses the chance for a surprise attack, decapitating
09:25the man with a machete.
09:26Then Azriel enters the chapel again and Miriam jumps on her from behind, disarming her with
09:30her own blade.
09:31Miriam starts chasing Azriel around the room, moving the benches out of the way to finally
09:35grab her.
09:36She pushes Azriel against the table and tries to decapitate her, but Azriel kicks her off.
09:41When Miriam attacks again, Azriel easily dodges and pushes Miriam against the wall to bite
09:45her neck.
09:46As Miriam tries to deal with the pain, her water finally breaks.
09:50Suddenly someone shoots the chapel's cross, it's Josephine, who moves very slowly because
09:54of her wound.
09:55She keeps on shooting her gun while approaching Azriel, but she ceases fire when she notices
09:59Miriam is giving birth on her bed.
10:02Azriel uses the distraction to tackle Josephine to the ground, breaking a bench in the process.
10:07Josephine breaks a piece of bench wood on Azriel, who does the same in return.
10:10Then Josephine takes out a small blade, only for Azriel to block her attack and smash her
10:15head on a bench before dropping her.
10:17Next Azriel gets Miriam's knife and strikes Josephine on her neck.
10:20At the same time the baby is heard crying, Josephine removes the knife from her neck
10:24and finally falls dead.
10:25Miriam leaves the bed looking terrified and she uses Azriel's machete to self-delete.
10:30Suddenly a strong wind gets into the chapel and puts out all the candles.
10:33A horde of Burned Ones crosses the forest and the camp before entering the chapel, where
10:37Azriel has picked up the baby.
10:39It turns out the child is shaped like a goat that resembles the Antichrist.
10:42The Burned Ones roar to receive their new leader and Azriel smiles when she realizes
10:46the power she holds in her arms.
