00:07Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived an old farmer who had three sons.
00:16The farmer was known for his wisdom, and his farm flourished under his care.
00:24However, as the farmer grew older, he began to worry.
00:30His three sons, though strong and hardworking, constantly quarreled among themselves.
00:39They argued over the smallest things and rarely helped one another, each believing he was better than the others.
00:49The farmer feared that after his death, the farm would fall into ruin because his sons couldn't work together.
00:58One day, the farmer fell seriously ill.
01:04Realizing that his time was nearing an end, he decided to teach his sons a final lesson that he hoped would stay with them forever.
01:16He called his sons to his bedside and said,
01:19My sons, I have an important task for you.
01:25Go into the forest and bring me three strong sticks.
01:31The sons, puzzled by the request, did as their father asked.
01:38When they returned, each carried a sturdy stick.
01:43The farmer took the sticks from his sons and handed each one a single stick.
01:51Now, break it, he said.
01:55The eldest son easily snapped his stick in half, followed by the middle son and the youngest son, who also broke their sticks with little effort.
02:07The farmer nodded and then tied the remaining three sticks together with a piece of rope, making a bundle.
02:17He handed the bundle to his eldest son and said, Now, break this bundle.
02:25The eldest son tried with all his might, but the bundle remained unbroken.
02:33The middle son took his turn, gritting his teeth and using all his strength, but he too could not break the bundle.
02:44Finally, the youngest son, confident in his abilities, attempted to break the bundle, but after much effort, he had to admit defeat.
02:57The farmer smiled and said, My sons, you see, each of you easily broke a single stick on your own.
03:08But when the sticks were tied together, none of you could break them.
03:14In the same way, if you stand alone, you can be easily defeated.
03:21But if you stand together, no one will be able to break you.
03:27Unity is strength.
03:30If you work together, help each other and support one another, you will prosper.
03:38But if you continue to quarrel and go your separate ways, your strength will be as fragile as a single stick and you will fail.
03:50The sons looked at each other, realizing the wisdom in their father's words.
03:58They saw how their constant fighting had weakened them as a family and how much stronger they could be if they worked together.
04:08From that day on, the three sons promised to stay united.
04:14They began to help one another with the farm, sharing the work and the rewards.
04:22As a result, the farm grew more prosperous than ever before and the family lived in harmony.
04:31And so, the old farmer's legacy lived on, not just in the fruitful land, but in the bond of brotherhood that he had taught his sons to cherish.
