Raipur: मान्यता के अनुसार सिर्फ दशहरे के दिन खुलता है कंकाली मठ माता का मंदिर
छत्तीसगढ़: राजधानी रायपुर में स्थित कंकाली मठ, एक अनोखा मंदिर है जो साल में केवल विजयादशमी के दिन खुलता है। इस दिन कंकाली माता की पूजा शस्त्र-पूजन के साथ की जाती है। मान्यता है कि विजयादशमी के दिन देवी प्रकट होकर भक्तों की मनोकामनाएं पूरी करती हैं। 13वीं से 17वीं शताब्दी तक यहां नागा साधु देवी की पूजा करते थे। मठ की स्थापना तंत्र साधना के लिए की गई थी। 17वीं शताब्दी में भव्य मंदिर बना और देवी की प्रतिमा स्थापित की गई। मठ में हजारों साल पुराने अस्त्र-शस्त्र आज भी संरक्षित हैं। मान्यता है कि नवरात्रि के दौरान मां कंकाली असुरों का संहार कर विजयादशमी की रात मठ में विश्राम करती हैं, इसलिए उस दिन मंदिर के पट भक्तों के लिए खोले जाते हैं।
