00:00Over 50 percent of Ukraine's energy infrastructure has been destroyed since Russia's 2022 full-scale
00:06invasion.
00:07But instead of surrendering to the dark, Ukrainians have turned towards solar to prevent potential
00:12power outages.
00:13The head of Ukraine's Energy Efficiency Fund explains how the agency is helping keep the
00:18lights on during wartime.
00:19We will be honest, the primary goal of this program, right now, is to give people the
00:26opportunity to have a difficult winter period, to provide for their lives in their homes.
00:33This is the primary goal of this program.
00:36The second goal is to implement the Green Transition, to generate energy from clean
00:41sources, so to speak.
00:43This is the goal, but this problem will also be solved by the program.
00:49The agency provides homeowners grants to improve their energy efficiency while paying up to
00:5570 percent of the costs associated with financing photovoltaic equipment.
