00:00Okay, ladies, you've had your instructions in the dressing room, so you know what's expected.
00:07Keep your punches up, and pay attention to the set-up at all times. Good luck, ladies.
00:30Chapman in the black. Chapman setting up in that orthodox stance.
00:35Nicholson, a southpaw, and she uses that lead hand really, really well.
00:40She's got a good reach on her, and Chapman has got to get inside that jab.
00:45She has to find a way past that jab, or she will go the way of other opponents
00:51that have come up against Nicholson.
00:55She uses it very effectively, buries it up.
00:59We'll hang on that back foot.
01:02Already, Chapman's getting close to her. She's bobbing and weaving, coming underneath, staying low.
01:06A good shot there against Nicholson.
01:16I say this all the time, but I think when it's a southpaw, there's an orthodox.
01:20We're used to the orthodox, so she's quite comfortable just leaning back,
01:23looking like she's in range, but she's actually not.
01:26Raven's doing well by trying to trigger her to throw a shot, to quickly get in.
01:35You can see the way Nicholson there just hangs on that back foot.
01:38She's got quite a wide stance, which adds to what Tasha was saying there.
01:43Good single shot with the left hand there from Nicholson, as Chapman looks to try and come forward.
01:50Slipped under the jab nicely there, Chapman. Couldn't follow up on it.
01:57Raven's not particularly tall, but she has got very long levers,
02:01so she's got to keep that head movement going.
02:04Maybe go and go again, or do what she's doing, which is trying to draw something on and quickly shut the space down.
02:12Final 10 seconds of round one, not very much in this opener at all.
02:16Very little has been landed clean by either fighter.
02:21She's going to miss her both of the right at the end there.
02:43We made radiotherapy possible, so cancer couldn't stop his big day.
02:49We studied Jimma DNA to find better treatments, so she can see her girls grow up.
02:55We're finding new ways to outsmart cancer, so more people can hear.
03:02Together we are beating cancer.
03:12All right.
03:16That's a Nicholson corner, Eddie Lamb there leading it.
03:21She turns out of that eyeballs, Jim down in South London.
03:24Bradley Skeet involved as well, just looking on over the ropes there for Chapman.
03:30It's Stuart Scott.
03:33So into the second.
03:42I think the first round's always a bit nervy.
03:45Everyone's trying to work out the distance, work out the shots, work out your reactions.
03:50You should see it open up a little bit more in these next few.
03:56Nicholson just giving that ground ball to Terry, then looks to try and move off to a right, hooking as she does so.
04:01That's a signature move of hers.
04:04That one didn't really land.
04:07Chapman staying nice and low, keeping her hands off, moving her head as well.
04:10Looking for the right hook lead.
04:16Some of that movement of Chapman so far has been just a little bit too far out.
04:23So it hasn't really managed to work her into range.
04:26Part of that is due to the reach of Nicholson.
04:31So it hasn't really managed to work her into range.
04:33Part of that is due to the reach of Nicholson.
04:36That's better for Chapman.
04:37She got into range there, couldn't quite let her hands go.
04:45She's got to try and slip that jab as she's moving forward, which is a difficult thing to do.
04:49Yeah, well she's bobbing and weaving.
04:51She's not a static target.
04:54And also with the head movement, she's triggering something from trying to lure the lead of Nicholson.
04:59And once the lead comes, then she can get inside or underneath it,
05:02and then quickly close the distance with her feet.
05:04But she doesn't want to lunge from too far out.
05:06She'll get picked off.
05:07So she's really trying to be an aggressive counterpunch.
05:10Nicholson to lead off.
05:13Nicholson let go with the left hand there.
05:15But again, I think it was just slightly short.
05:17Neither one of these two have really found their range yet through the opening two rounds.
05:23I'm not sure which way you would go with these if you were the judges at ringside,
05:26because not much has landed.
05:28It's going to be a little bit busier, you know, Sky.
05:30You've got to make a place.
05:32That's the scene at the Kingdom Arena.
05:34And we're all set for what should be an absolutely spectacular fight.
05:38Top of the bill, Artur Betabiev against Dmitry Fibov.
05:41All of the belts at light heavyweight.
05:44We had the same scenario with Fyodor Yanuchik, of course, earlier in the year.
05:48But something that's entertained me about this,
05:50and I think it's something that's going to be interesting to watch,
05:53We had the same scenario with Fyodor Yanuchik, of course, earlier in the year.
05:56But something that's entertained me about this, Matt,
05:58is watching these two this week.
06:00We talked about it right at the top of the show.
06:02Unlike Fyodor and also Yanuchik, because they're these big kind of otherworldly men,
06:06these are two guys who, if you walk past them in the street,
06:09would look like normal people, but they are not normal people.
06:13Anything but.
06:15They're the two best light heavyweights in the world, probably by far.
06:18These are number one and two.
06:19And tonight we're going to find out who's number one.
06:22Tasha, what are your thoughts on the main event?
06:24I've not spoken to you about it this week, actually.
06:26I've back and forth about 15 million times,
06:29and every time I talk about one, I think,
06:32right, that's definitely who I'm going to pick.
06:34I change it, and it makes a case for the other one.
06:37So I'm still unsure.
06:39Sitting on the fence again.
06:40Of course, of course.
06:41I don't want to be wrong again.
06:44So into the third round, Sky Nicholson,
06:46the WBC featherweight champion in the blue,
06:48Raven Chatman, the challenger in the black.
06:57I think Raven's doing the right thing, coming over,
06:59because Sky keeps that lead hand really low.
07:01That was a good backhand.
07:03Chatman got close there and threw that short right hand.
07:06That did manage to find the target.
07:07Nicholson had pulled onto that back foot,
07:09but couldn't quite pull out of range.
07:14Chatman again just gets closer and wants to try and work for the body.
07:17Nicholson's trying to walk her onto that left hand,
07:19but she hasn't managed to time it,
07:21and I think that's because Chatman's head movement
07:23and bearing the pressure.
07:24That was a good shot there.
07:25She pulled it up, but that's the shot she's looking for.
07:28Commentators are scared, Stadman.
07:29Always.
07:30It was a sweet left hand, though.
07:31As you say, timed absolutely perfectly.
07:33Found the distance on it.
07:38You can see there, yeah, she's trying to almost go to
07:41with the lead hand, trying to walk her onto lunging,
07:43and then she's going to meet her with the backhand,
07:46but Chatman's got to be careful with that.
07:48She's got to use the feints, use the head movement,
07:50don't become predictable.
07:52That was a good uppercut by Nicholson.
07:55It's been an interesting round, this.
07:56Chatman probably had the better of the first minute,
07:58but Nicholson has picked some really good punches
08:00in the second minute,
08:02and maybe just beginning to find that rhythm.
08:05Hooking on the way out again there.
08:07Maybe a little bit slappy, but it landed.
08:09Yeah, and also the constant head movement,
08:12the constantly twisting, changing, resetting.
08:15That takes a lot of energy.
08:17That will take a lot of energy out of Chatman,
08:18so as the rounds press on,
08:20that starts to dwindle a little bit.
08:22Chatman might find it even easier then to time her.
08:26She's just rushing herself a little bit
08:28and coming over the free spot, maybe.
08:31So, the end of the third.
08:34Coming up after this, we've got Chris Eubank Jr.
08:39getting his hands wrapped there by Ian Gatt.
08:41He goes up against Kamil Jeremeta at middleweight.
08:46Happy to put footage up on social media yesterday,
08:49Matt, of how difficult it was to make the weight.
08:52I was there at the lunchtime weigh-in.
08:54He arrived a little bit later than everybody else.
08:56Nothing scandalous, but he had his boxing boots on,
08:59so I could tell that he'd been working
09:00right up until the last minute.
09:02I don't think it's any secret that he's tight at the weight,
09:04the middleweight limit.
09:05I think that's a well-known fact,
09:07so why hide it?
09:10It just sort of confirms it,
09:11and if it bothers you, then he's pretty up front with it
09:14in a big middleweight.
09:20Just signs of the second half of that previous round
09:23that Nicholson was beginning to hit that groove and rhythm,
09:27and that's something that Chatman cannot afford to happen.
09:34When she goes, she's just got to commit.
09:36That little bit of hesitation
09:39Sky will be able to see.
09:59When Chatman does move in and close that gap,
10:02more often than not, she'll tend to lead off with a right hand,
10:06which makes it more difficult to reach, surely,
10:09moving in orthodox as she is.
10:11If she were trying to get to Nicholson,
10:13it's that lead left that's got the shortest distance to travel.
10:17Right hand there from Chatman,
10:18but Nicholson again is just managing to use that jab effectively
10:21so far this round.
10:22Nice left hand into the body there for Nicholson.
10:25Well, I think what she's doing, Raven Chatman,
10:27she's almost stepping into a southpaw stance
10:29and then leading off with the right jab.
10:33She's got picked up there, so she's got to be careful.
10:35She doesn't want to get caught in no man's land.
10:37Either you're coming or you're not.
10:38If you're coming in, you've got to fully commit to it.
10:40And that's what I'm saying about the hesitation.
10:42Sky can see it and she's just picking it off
10:45with the uppercut single shot hooks as she comes in,
10:47like we've just seen there.
10:49If you're going to go, you've got to kind of do it the Hagler way
10:51and just move in and commit with it.
10:56Final 30 seconds of round four.
10:59Very little in the first couple of rounds.
11:02Rounds three and four have maybe been Nicholson rounds.
11:04Looking for that jab again there.
11:06Though Chatman did start well in three,
11:08but there was a good left hand there again from Nicholson.
11:10She just took that half step back as Chatman was coming in
11:13and tagged her with the uppercut.
11:17Okay, let's go backstage and hear from Big Fraser Clark.
11:22I love the sport, you know.
11:24I love the sport inside of two men getting in the ring
11:26and trying to outperform each other.
11:28Strip me away.
11:30Take everything away from me.
11:31You'll never take the love I have for this sport away from me.
11:34I love it.
11:35I love it.
11:36I love it.
11:37I love it.
11:38I love it.
11:39I love it.
11:40I love it.
11:41I love it.
11:42I love it.
11:43I love it.
11:44I love it.
11:45You'll never take the love I have for this sport away from me.
11:47This is my life.
11:48This is what I live, what I breathe.
11:50It's what I love.
11:51I can't wait to hit something.
11:53I feel ravenous.
11:54I can feel it in my blood.
11:55I can feel it in my bones.
11:57I'm ready to go and do a job.
12:05Fraser Clark talking to us earlier in the week.
12:07He's up against Fabio Wardley.
12:09And Fabio Wardley arriving at the arena.
12:13Fabio Wardley walking into a dressing room right next to Fraser Clark.
12:16So he put the pair of them next door to each other.
12:20They'll be able to hear each other warming up through the wall.
12:23They'll be able to hear each other's music through the wall.
12:26It's not something that you typically see,
12:29but I think it's something that the pair of them will probably see
12:32the amusing side of.
12:34They make a good pair outside of the ring and inside the ring.
12:37Back at the end of March,
12:40it's the first time that we've seen the pair of them together.
12:43It's been an amazing experience.
12:45Fabio Wardley gave us an extraordinary spectacle.
12:48Into the fifth round here.
12:51Nick was trying to pick that left hand.
12:54Again, as she comes in, just crouching, throwing the right.
12:57Chapman needs to get in close and throw more than a single shot.
13:01She needs to have a little bit more first and third,
13:04punches and bunches.
13:07Or takes the middle. She hops off and takes the middle.
13:10She's got all day to be comfortable and get back in the middle
13:13and got space to move.
13:15There's a nice right hook there from Nicholson.
13:17Just timed the loop lane and kind of spun off with it.
13:20That's something she does well.
13:23Throws that right hand as she's moving off to the right.
13:28Good amateur background, of course.
13:30Bronze medal in the World Championships in 2016.
13:33That was at Light Welter.
13:35By the Tokyo Olympics, she'd come down to featherweight,
13:38so seven kilos lighter.
13:42Got to the quarterfinals where she lost to Karis Artingstuhl.
13:46That's a rematch we will hopefully see in the pros.
14:01Even just needs to dress it up a little bit better.
14:03There's hardly any jabs that she's thrown.
14:05If you're going to step in behind your backhand or throw the big hook,
14:09dress it up a little bit first.
14:11Sky's now just reading it and picking it up with a single shot,
14:14either the hooks or the uppercut.
14:16That was a better right hand from Chapman.
14:20Found a few seconds of round five.
14:22Again, she got through there.
14:24She got close enough to make contact with the right.
14:33Fight night brought to you by that prize guy.
15:03...all the way in and then bob and weave, right?
15:06The bob and cut.
15:07Double up on the right hand.
15:08We need to get that a little bit closer before we let the hands go.
15:11So let's try that.
15:12On the way in, a little fake go and go.
15:14So go and go, and then try and let those hands go, yeah?
15:17All right?
15:18Listen, you keep...
15:19Chapman corner there.
15:20And you can see the nature of the advice.
15:23They just wanted to keep that upper body on the move.
15:26Round six.
15:27Dip those knees, get under the jab, get up close.
15:30It's the second half of the fight,
15:31and halfway you would say that Nicholson has a lead here.
15:36And Chapman has got to stick to the task.
15:38She's got to believe, keep the faith.
15:46Let's just have a look at how you're seeing this at home.
15:49Four rounds to one in favour of Nicholson.
15:53And splitting those first two rounds,
15:55that seems kind of fair enough to me
15:56because there wasn't really anything in any of them.
15:59I wouldn't argue strenuously with that.
16:01I think Nicholson has been the better fighter
16:03from midway through the third onwards.
16:05Chapman started that round well,
16:07but I think the impression the judges would have been left with
16:10would have been the way that Nicholson finished it.
16:12So Chapman, I think, has got work to do in the second half.
16:16But she may well have expected that.
16:18Yeah, I'd say so.
16:19I think she knows she's got to force the pace,
16:21keep the pressure on Nicholson,
16:23try and get her tired and hope she'll make mistakes.
16:25But Chapman's the one working harder here.
16:27You know, she's the one bouncing and moving
16:29and constantly resetting.
16:31Actually, Nicholson looks pretty comfortable.
16:35She's got a very relaxed style.
16:40Looking for that uppercut into the body.
16:42I don't think that really landed.
16:44She doesn't punch much in combination, Nicholson,
16:46but with the method she's got, she doesn't really need to.
16:49Chapman, of course, would be hoping that she would get close enough
16:52that she would force her to,
16:53but she's able to keep it on the outside.
16:57And win the fight with single shots, essentially.
16:59Yeah, just try and time her as she comes in
17:01with the uppercut or the straight backhand.
17:05You see she's using that jab almost like a flick
17:08just to try and goad Chapman into coming
17:11and then she's going to walk onto the left hand,
17:13whether that's an uppercut or a straight left.
17:18These two-minute rounds race by,
17:20and another one has slipped by here
17:22when Nicholson has picked the better punches.
17:24You see she throws as well from the outside.
17:27They're easy to see for ringside judges.
17:31The bell goes at the end of the sixth.
17:43If you probably tallied her punches up, Nicholson,
17:45she doesn't actually throw that much,
17:47but they are very accurate.
17:48Everything she throws,
17:50almost, I'd say, like 80% of them land.
17:54That's true, actually.
17:55You look at her punch completion percentage,
17:57and it is very, very high, unusually high,
18:00around about 40% in a lot of the fights
18:02of those that I've watched.
18:04And boxing is essentially a high-failure-rate sport,
18:06isn't it?
18:07Most of what you throw won't get there.
18:09Yeah, she's very economical.
18:10She doesn't really throw anything
18:11unless she's very confident of landing it.
18:13And like you said, it's a combination
18:15of single shots, really.
18:17Prided with the lead hand,
18:18looking to walk him onto the backhand.
18:21Well, Ben Whittaker, we are being informed,
18:23has left the arena and headed for hospital.
18:26He has to get that lower leg injury looked at,
18:29scanned, possibly.
18:31They need to work out exactly what has happened there.
18:33It was an extraordinary incident.
18:35No harm meant by Liam Cameron.
18:37He just leaned onto him.
18:38They both disappeared over the top rope,
18:40and there was really only one outcome at that point
18:42once it became obvious that Whittaker couldn't continue.
18:44It was an accidental foul, and it went to the cards.
18:47And Cameron felt like he'd done enough
18:49over the first five rounds.
18:52It was definitely going to get extremely interesting
18:54in the second half, that's for sure.
18:56But we didn't get to see it.
18:58Into round seven here, Chapman has got to try
19:02and do something to knock Nicholson out of this rhythm.
19:06She just steps in there, the Australian,
19:08and let a one-two go.
19:12Braden came out at the start of the round
19:14and did quite well.
19:15Braden came out at the start of the round
19:17and did great things.
19:18She was just jabbing the body.
19:19Sky moves a lot.
19:21If you jab the body, the body's a bit less...
19:24I don't want to say moveable, but...
19:26More stationary.
19:27That's the word I was looking for, thanks, Matt.
19:35Yeah, I think with Chapman, sometimes she's making a move,
19:38but she's starting it from too far out.
19:40She's the feint move there, trying to sneak half a yard
19:44and then make the move when she's coming from too far out.
19:47Nicholson can see it, take the step back,
19:49then she finds herself in no-man's land,
19:52and that's what she's able to pick off.
19:59These kinds of stylistic match-ups are always interesting
20:02because the formula is fairly straightforward.
20:05Chapman did manage to land with a left there
20:07as Nicholson hooked and moved off to her right,
20:09but just because it seems obvious what somebody should do,
20:12it doesn't mean that it's easy to do it.
20:15And it's only once you actually get in there
20:18that you'll know the scale of the task.
20:22You'll know what the task is,
20:24you just don't know how hard it'll be,
20:26and Nicholson does make it very, very difficult.
20:30Chapman had a better round there, I thought,
20:32than some of the ones we've seen just previously.
20:35She did get tighter, did get closer.
20:38But the more eye-catching punches probably did come once again
20:41from Nicholson.
21:00And as Andy mentioned earlier on, Andy Scott,
21:03it is hot in here because part of the side of the building
21:08has been removed,
21:10so the night air is flooding in in a way that it hasn't
21:14on other occasions that we have been here,
21:16so the temperature will be around about mid-20s, high-20s,
21:21and it's kind of trapped in here too,
21:23so underneath those lights up in that ring,
21:25they're going to be feeling this.
21:28Ready!
21:31As the fights go on, I think that might be a fact,
21:33and it's something I mentioned to Jack when he came in.
21:42Chapman getting nice and low there onto the inside,
21:45throwing that right hand.
21:57Again, there was a nice kind of bob and weave there,
21:59but he didn't really achieve too much
22:01because it was quite a long way out where she did it,
22:05and once she'd finished it,
22:06she wasn't really any closer to Nicholson
22:08than she was when she started.
22:13That's one of the obstacles here,
22:15as you outlined in the previous round, Matt.
22:19Yeah, it's not really a case of what Chapman should be doing
22:22that she's not doing.
22:23It's more a case of what Nicholson's doing well.
22:25She's just not really allowing her to get the distance.
22:28She's moving, she's making a rough set,
22:30she's offsetting her,
22:31and she's got to reset again,
22:32and try and loop the head,
22:33and try and get in,
22:34and try to get close so she can make that move.
22:37And then just as she does get a bit static,
22:40she hits her with her left hand down the middle,
22:43or up the middle.
22:44You know, she's very good.
22:45She can throw it round the side,
22:47she can loop it underneath,
22:48she can throw it straight.
22:50There was a good right hand there from Chapman
22:52about 20 seconds ago.
22:53She moved in through it,
22:54made contact,
22:55and then just moved onto the shoulder
22:57and kind of shut down her own space a little bit,
22:59which was slightly unfortunate
23:00because she got into where she needed to be.
23:03Again there, just pushing Nicholson back into the ropes,
23:05and she just has to keep going here, Chapman.
23:07Just really pour it on
23:09in these remaining couple of rounds
23:11and force the issue as much as possible.
23:13Not that she hasn't been up until this point,
23:15but it's possible that Nicholson will tie her.
23:20Yeah, it's been good pressure.
23:21It's been consistent pressure.
23:24You should certainly be hoping
23:25if you were in Chapman's corner
23:27at some inner round now,
23:29that Nicholson will start to slow down.
23:33At this pace, I honestly don't think that'll happen.
23:37We saw Chris Eubank earlier on
23:38getting his hands wrapped
23:40to now just working the pads
23:43in what is a cavernous backstage area,
23:46being trained by Jonathan Banks
23:48for this fighting train.
23:51Gennady Golovkin against Kamil Jeremeta
23:54a few years ago,
23:55a fight that Golovkin won when Jeremeta retired
23:57after seven rounds.
23:59Eubank saying that that essentially
24:01was one of the main reasons
24:03why they teamed up together.
24:04It was interesting during the week, Matt,
24:06talking to Teddy Atlas
24:07about the fact that Eubank has been through
24:09numerous trainers now,
24:10and he said that for him,
24:12it's because he's still trying to find his identity
24:14as a fighter.
24:15Yeah, trying to find his own style, I guess,
24:17is what he meant with that as well.
24:20You know, if you constantly change the trainers,
24:22adjust the styles,
24:23every trainer wants to put their prints on you,
24:25what they think you need to do less of
24:27or what you need to do more of.
24:29And then you always get caught between styles a little bit,
24:31never really find your own.
24:34So do tonight.
24:39Chapman, I think, has narrowed the gap a bit
24:41in the two rounds that we've just seen.
24:45I'm not saying she won those two rounds,
24:46but they were closer rounds
24:48four and five and six,
24:52potentially,
24:53but she needs to close this out strong.
24:55She needs to win these last couple.
24:57Yeah, that right hand there,
24:59that wide, long loop right hand got blocked by the gloves,
25:02but she landed a couple of those
25:04in the round previous, bang on the chin.
25:08You've got it comfortably for Nicholson
25:10watching on from home,
25:12a five-point margin,
25:14giving her every round apart from the second
25:16and the eighth, which has been scored 10-10
25:19on the scorecard there.
25:26A good shot,
25:27a lovely one outlanded by Chapman.
25:29Nicholson took it well.
25:31That all came off the double jab.
25:33Just if she works behind the jab,
25:36she'll be able to close that space down a little bit
25:38and you don't necessarily need it to land,
25:40but it just creates the space
25:42for the backhand to come across.
25:46I think it's possible
25:47that the ringside judges might have it slightly tighter
25:49than they'll be able to see here at home,
25:51but I do think that Nicholson is winning this fight,
25:53but if Chapman could win this round
25:55and win the tenth,
25:56there have been some close rounds,
25:58particularly the first two.
26:02And even the round before this
26:04was a closer round.
26:07I agree.
26:08I mean,
26:09that scorecard that the viewers see,
26:11that could be accurate,
26:13but I could also see a couple of rounds closer than that as well.
26:16I think I give the first two rounds a draw
26:18and the round before
26:21to Chapman.
26:27That's a nice combination there though from Nicholson
26:29just to close out the round.
26:32So one remaining here
26:34in this fight for the WBC
26:37featherweight title,
26:38the first female
26:40world title fight of Riyadh season.
26:43And I think both fighters have really felt
26:45the responsibility of that during
26:47the course of the week.
26:50For both of you, quick to say as well that
26:53when the bell goes all the bat really becomes irrelevant,
26:56it's something that you would look back on
26:59afterwards,
27:01but not something you can think about at the time.
27:03And there's that right hand that clipped the chin there of Nicholson.
27:06Yeah, and Nicholson came back with the left hand herself,
27:08but like Tasha said,
27:09coming in behind the double jab
27:12is what created that.
27:13Even though the jab didn't really land,
27:15it just closed the distance and then the right hand
27:17was a good shot.
27:18Obviously, Nicholson replied with her own.
27:28So these two will be called to the centre of the ring
27:30for a touch of gloves.
27:31Tenth and final round.
27:32Sky Nicholson, the defending WBC champion in the blue.
27:35Raven Chapman in the black.
27:37Chapman must finish strong here.
27:41She's going to need to have taken that previous round
27:43and leave this one as well.
27:54Nicholson thought about throwing the hook
27:56and stepping off to the right hand side
27:57in the end, didn't really need to.
28:05Nice left hand there from Nicholson.
28:07She found the range with it nicely, didn't she?
28:09Yeah, again, double jab.
28:11Didn't hit anything on Chapman,
28:12but just jabbing the space.
28:14Helped to close the distance
28:16and then the straight left was a good shot.
28:18She's comfortable now.
28:19She's just having fun in there.
28:25She knows that Raven needs to come.
28:27That was a good backhand.
28:31And a good just lie.
28:32Picking that left hand well there, Nicholson,
28:34off the back of Chapman's.
28:36Into the final minute of the contest.
28:39That was a bit of,
28:40anything you can do, I can do better.
29:05Good left hand there again from Nicholson
29:07and you get the impression that she could
29:09box at this kind of pace for
29:11a good few rounds longer.
29:13She is difficult to knock out of that
29:15kind of rhythm that she settled into
29:17really from round three onwards.
29:19Tries Chapman right
29:21and she certainly has tried
29:22and it's not that she hasn't had some success
29:24but Nicholson has a method
29:27and she employs it very, very effectively.
29:29The bell goes at the end of the fight.
29:31The break between the two.
29:33Scar Nicholson will be confident
29:34that she has retained her title there
29:36by our reckoning.
29:38From where we're sitting that is what has happened.
29:40It was a good competitive fight.
29:42Chapman had a plan.
29:43She tried to employ it all the way through
29:46but Nicholson
29:48could well be one of these fighters
29:50who people look at
29:52and they feel like
29:54it's kind of obvious how you beat her.
29:55You get on top of her.
29:56You rough her up.
29:57You make her uncomfortable
29:58but it's easier said than done.
30:00Exactly.
30:01Easy from where we're sitting
30:02but when you're in there you've got to,
30:03you're the person that has to close the distance
30:05and your feet aren't quite quick enough.
30:09It's a lot easier said than done.
30:11Yeah, the rings look kind of small on telly
30:13but when you're in there they are quite big.
30:15Sometimes they can feel small
30:16if you're the person chasing.
30:18Sorry, running away
30:19but I think she just gave herself space.
30:22Every time she came she hooked around
30:24or through the uppercut
30:25and just spun
30:26and always kept a good enough space
30:29where she could move back twice
30:30or she could spin and be in the centre.
30:32Yeah, she's good at controlling the distance.
30:34She's good at using her physical advantages,
30:36the reach,
30:37her feet quite wide apart,
30:39lead hand quite low.
30:41She can hook up it,
30:42throw it off the middle,
30:43try to walk onto the backhand then as well.
30:49So that's how you've got it at home.
30:51You've got two draw rounds in there
30:53and one to Chapman,
30:54the rest to Nicholson.
30:56The worst were tight rounds.
30:58The first couple were tight.
31:01I don't personally see how you can find
31:04more than four for Raven Chapman
31:08but it was a good effort from her nonetheless.
31:11A step up for her.
31:12I find that she's been chasing for a while
31:14and she will rebound from this the stronger I'm sure.
31:19If this doesn't go her way
31:20we don't want to pre-empt anything.
31:22It could be a dangerous game
31:23but I think for Nicholson not to get this
31:26and it would be
31:29it would be quite surprising.
31:43And it would of course represent
31:46a win for Mattroom over Queensborough
31:48and they have been very rare.
31:50Ladies and gentlemen,
31:51after ten two-minute rounds of boxing
31:54we go to the judges' scorecards.
31:57Judge Samantha Bollner scores it 99-91
32:01and both judges, Kieran McCann and Moises Melham
32:05score it the same 98-92
32:08all in favor of your winner by unanimous decision.
32:14And still women's WBC featherweight champion of the world
32:21future undisputed Sky Nicholson.
32:27So Sky Nicholson retains her title
32:29by margins of nine rounds to one.
