00:00All right, short and sweet from Lawrence Cole.
00:16Yeah, I guess they went over this before.
00:19Yeah, I don't know if he knew if he wanted to speak Japanese or Spanish.
00:24All right, here we go.
00:25This one's scheduled for 12 rounds.
00:27The vacant WBC World Championship in the flyweight division up for grabs.
00:33Kinshiro Taraji in the gray trunks.
00:37Rosales in the black trunks with gold trim.
00:39Christina Poncher and Nico Ali-Walsh here with you.
00:42And I'd like to briefly welcome in our friends watching on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland.
00:46Pleasure to have you with us for our co-main event tonight.
00:50Should be a good one.
00:52Both these guys are boxer-punchers.
00:55But when I was doing my film on Taraji, for this fight in particular,
01:01one of his main keys to victory is getting on the inside of Rosales' punches.
01:06Rosales has a bit of a hole in his offense when throwing on the inside.
01:13He leaves himself open a lot, so that would be Taraji's game plan.
01:17Get on the inside, which he's doing right now.
01:22Rosales, he's got to use his height, he's got to use his reach.
01:26He's got almost six full inches of reach advantage against Taraji.
01:32Yeah, 71-inch reach for Rosales, 64.5 for Taraji.
01:37And he just looks significantly bigger.
01:40He does.
01:41Even just by the eye test, looking at them here in the ring.
01:47Rosales looks to get started with his jab out of that orthodox stance.
01:52And what I noticed with Rosales is he bites at feints often.
01:57That's a bad habit.
01:59So if Taraji uses feints before every combination, like right there,
02:07he'll find a lot of success.
02:11Taraji moving up to 112 pounds after a dominant run at light flyweight.
02:19You're going back looking at his box rack in preparation for this fight.
02:22He actually fought at 112 pounds once before, back in his third professional fight.
02:28So it wouldn't be fair to say that this is his 112-pound debut,
02:32but in a world title at this big of a stage at this point in his career,
02:36absolutely uncharted territory to be in a world title fight at 112 pounds.
02:47Good jab, good right hand to the body there for Taraji.
02:59One of the main things that I noticed about Taraji,
03:02one of his defensive vulnerabilities is backing up in a straight line
03:07after he's finished throwing his punches.
03:09It just leaves him easy to get countered from his opponent.
03:15Round one in the books from the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
03:28I mean, that's what we kind of expected.
03:31The slow burn of Popeye's new ghost pepper chicken sandwich is scary good,
03:36but not scary spicy.
03:38Better try it before it ghosts our menu.
03:40We don't make sense, we make chicken.
04:02There are some feelings you can get with any sports book.
04:15Flyweight title was vacant.
04:17He's actually fought for this same title, Nico, like three times.
04:21He's won it, lost it, won it, lost it,
04:23and now he's got an opportunity once again to win it.
04:26So he's been here.
04:27Absolutely has been here.
04:29He has six losses in his professional career.
04:32An early loss to Khalid Yafai back in 2015.
04:36He had a loss in his third professional fight, Andrew Selby.
04:39But that win against Dago Higa, he defended against Patty Barnes
04:43and then lost it in the second world title defense to Charlie Edwards.
04:48Takes one fight and then gets another opportunity at the same title
04:51against Julio Cesar Martinez.
04:55So he's hoping that the third time will be the charm.
05:00As he gets started with that lead hand here in round two and four.
05:05Rosales, I mean, he has, my notes say great jab,
05:08but I wrote the same thing for Kinshiro Taraji too.
05:11I mean, they both have really solid jabs.
05:13They both have some good in and out, you know, movement,
05:16but that shot from Taraji scored effectively then down to the body.
05:24What I'm noticing with Rosales is he's doing a lot of jab hooks
05:29and hook jabs and I don't know if it's my mind playing tricks on me,
05:33but I feel like that's a Canelo move.
05:36It's very reminiscent of Canelo and it could be, you know,
05:40the fact that he trains alongside him.
05:44Trains alongside him with Eddie Reynoso.
05:47Canelo Alvarez has made his way to Tokyo.
05:49Japan is sitting there ringside.
05:51He just walked out with Rosales on his way to the ring.
05:55And that's amazing to have that kind of support, you know,
05:59in your training campus table made,
06:01traveling across the world to come see you possibly win a world title.
06:06It does a lot for your confidence.
06:07Not that he needs anymore.
06:08He's been at this world championship level before.
06:10I'm not saying that he hasn't earned this opportunity in his own right,
06:14but a little extra motivation,
06:15especially when you're going against a hometown guy always helps.
06:18100%.
06:19That was a great right hand from Taraji.
06:22It looked like it hurt Rosales a little bit.
06:24And then he culminated it with a left hook as Rosales took some,
06:28almost directly in a line to the corner.
06:31Yeah, because Rosales was pressing forward,
06:34pushing all the action this round.
06:37This is the only time he took that step back.
06:39Rosales a bit hesitant to open up as Taraji lands a right hook.
06:49And now Rosales charges back and lands a left hook of his own at the
06:53end of that combination.
06:54Another great right hand from Rosales.
06:58And you can kind of see what I was saying,
07:00where Rosales has a tendency to bite at face.
07:04He was reaching for shots.
07:07If Taraji keeps working behind those feints,
07:09he's going to keep finding homes for those shots.
07:11Something else Taraji has done is landed the right hand a few times to the
07:15body off the jab as well.
07:30At Burger King, we flame grill our burgers. Why?
07:33Because that's how it should be done.
07:35Hot, juicy, smoky, flame grilled, and made your way.
07:38Come experience the flame grilled difference with two Whopper juniors for
07:41just five bucks.
07:59Introducing the second chance offer from BedMGM.
08:02What'd he say?
08:03If you bet on a player to score the first touchdown and instead he scores
08:06the second, boom, you get your money back and cash.
08:09Straight cash, second chance, you heard?
08:11What if my guy fumbles?
08:13They both landed some clean shots that round.
08:26Has to give him an extra second to kind of get that corner in order.
08:29Round three.
08:33Feints there to start for Taraji with that lead foot.
08:37He tries to bait in Rosales.
08:40Yeah, those are crucial.
08:46Oh, good jab. Beautiful combination there for Taraji.
08:51Timed that jab perfectly.
08:56It looks like Taraji's finding his rhythm right now.
08:59He's punching and getting back out.
09:03I think one of the questions coming into this fight for all of us,
09:07and maybe even for Taraji too, is how that right hand would hold up.
09:11He had a right hand injury that he suffered in that Carlos Canazales fight,
09:16and, you know, I'm told took some time off.
09:19And, you know, to be able to come back and test it in a fight is different,
09:24right? Different size gloves, no headgear.
09:26Different than working the bag, right?
09:28You've got to be able to get out there and trust it again.
09:30It looks like he's trusting it so far.
09:31Yeah, I mean, he's landing it.
09:35Everything's being set up off of his jab or a feint.
09:41He's working his game plan beautifully right now, Taraji.
09:44And the jab to the body too, beautiful.
09:48Right hand to the body, slightly on the belt line there.
09:53Those are great shots.
10:01He's got to maintain this work rate, Taraji.
10:06It's very hard to catch on to someone's rhythm when they're constantly jabbing.
10:11Oh, that shot earned him there.
10:13Rosales' legs are unsteady as Taraji's got a little over a minute to work here in round three.
10:19That was that right hand too.
10:20Beautiful right hand set that up, and Rosales is looking to hold.
10:24He's going in for the kill right now.
10:27He's going to let that right hand go again.
10:32Rosales needs to stay off the ropes and smartly, veteran move,
10:36trying to hold, bring action to the center of the ring by himself some more time.
10:42Definitely unsteady.
10:47Jab, right hand to the body for Taraji.
10:50Smart going in there.
10:52Jab, right hand to the body for Taraji.
10:55Smart going to the body from Taraji.
11:10Taraji's got ten seconds left here in round three.
11:16Right hand again, Lance.
11:18He's being a lot more patient than I thought he would, Taraji.
11:23Wow.
11:27That was that right hand that you mentioned.
11:30At Burger King, we flame grill our burgers.
11:33Why? Because that's how it should be done.
11:35Hot, juicy, smoky, flame grilled and made your way.
11:39Come experience the flame grilled difference with two Whopper Juniors for just five bucks.
11:53Shop Arc'teryx.
11:56Introducing the second chance offer from BetMGM.
11:59What'd he say?
12:00If you bet on a player to score the first touchdown and instead he scores the second,
12:04boom, you get your money back and cash.
12:07Straight cash, second chance, you heard?
12:09What if my guy fumbles?
12:10Starting bell, that right hand.
12:13He just put a lot, he sat on that punch that time.
12:17Bloodstream.
12:18Bloodstreaming from the nose of Rosales in round three.
12:27And if you're Eddie Reynoso and you're, you're in between rounds,
12:30you're likely telling your charge to move around the outside.
12:33Stick that jab out there as a Taraji slips in that same blue corner
12:37that has caused problems all night long for every fighter.
12:41Yeah, no, if you're Eddie Reynoso, you know, you would tell your fighter,
12:44Rosales, the game plan that should have been from the very start.
12:48Use your advantages, use your reach, stay on the outside box Taraji.
12:54He's got a much longer reach than him.
12:56He can keep Taraji at the end of all punches and especially void that right hand.
13:02But if you watch Rosales fight,
13:04you know that he has problems with these quicker fighters.
13:07These fighters are quick.
13:09They're fast.
13:10That's exactly what Kinshiro Taraji is.
13:13This is not the best stylistic matchup for him.
13:16Opponent wise.
13:18That's the perfect word.
13:19Twitchy though.
13:20The guys who are twitchy, he reacts to them like he bites to these faints.
13:25You can see with his right hand.
13:26It's like, you know, as he switches stance here, Rosales.
13:30I wonder why he switched his stance.
13:32I don't like it right there.
13:35I mean, right on the money.
13:36I was just going to say, you're usually more susceptible to the right hand.
13:40And that's Taraji's power punch.
13:42And usually give up something when you switch from your strong stance.
13:47Not very many fighters can do that.
13:49I mean, you can't do that.
13:50You can't do that.
13:51You can't do that.
13:52You can't do that.
13:53You can't do that.
13:54You can't do that.
13:55You can't do that.
13:56You can't do that.
13:58Not very many fighters can do it and be as equally efficient.
14:01Offensively and defensively from both stances.
14:04Yeah.
14:05Now you get the right hand is a south pause kryptonite.
14:12And he got hit with it when he switched.
14:14And back to the orthodox stance for Rosales.
14:17About a minute left here in round four.
14:19And he gets caught with a couple left hands there from Taraji.
14:27Taraji's not cutting the ring off as much as he should right now.
14:31And back to southpaw.
14:32And he eats a right hand to the gut.
14:46You got to wonder, maybe Rosales feels more comfortable switching.
14:57I'm just not sure eating right hands like that is comfortable.
15:00No.
15:03That can't be comfortable.
15:08Unless you can land a left hand like that.
15:11Perfect answer.
15:13Okay, so this is a fight now.
15:16He caught Taraji in a compromising.
15:18The slow burn of Popeye's new ghost pepper chicken sandwich is scary good.
15:23But not scary spicy.
15:25Better try it before it goes to our menu.
15:27We don't make sense.
15:29We make chicken.
15:30Love that chicken from Popeye's.
15:33Arcteryx.
15:35One of the best.
15:37And the best.
15:39And the best.
15:41And the best.
15:42And the best.
15:43Arcteryx.
15:45Worn when it counts.

15:55Shop Arcteryx.
16:14Round 5.
16:26Things are heating up.
16:28Here in round 5.
16:30Rosales starting off orthodox.
16:36Which I believe is smart.
16:38And.
16:40There is open scoring for this fight with the WBC.
16:43So my producer tells me right now as it stands 39 37 and 40 36 twice for
16:50Kenshiro Taraji through the first four rounds.
16:53Yeah.
16:56I see that.
17:00So a sweep in the first four rounds and then three rounds to one.
17:07And he's switching to Southpaw again.
17:12It's worrying because that the right hands even though they're landing to
17:16the body, those right hands are so much easier to land when you're
17:20throwing them at a Southpaw.
17:22And he's Rosales keeping that left hand cock just ready to time.
17:28Taraji reaching in with that right hand as he landed a significant
17:32shot from that stance in round four.
17:35But he's wasting time here.
17:38At least if you're going to stand that you've got it.
17:40Yes.
17:41Throw that jab with a little more emphasis.
17:43Time is ticking away as you're waiting to land that.
17:48And there is a left hand there.
17:58Taraji trying to bait him in to land his right hand.
18:02He's got to start asserting his dominance more, Rosales.
18:06You know, you've got to assume, especially if you're, you know,
18:10Eddie Reynoso that he's behind on scorecards right now.
18:14So there's got to be a little bit more of a sense of urgency.
18:25You can see Taraji looking for that right hand.
18:27As Rosales fights the majority of this round in the Southpaw stance.
18:32Taraji's trying to set that right hand up.
18:38And Rosales continues to kind of touch his nose too with his glove
18:41as blood steadily streaming down as he pops his head back once again
18:45with the jab.
18:47It seems like Taraji got a little complacent since he hurt Rosales.
18:52It looks like he's looking for one big shot right now.
18:56He's got to maintain that high work rate that, that he's used to.
19:01But it's almost like Rosales is doing the same thing though, right?
19:03Yeah.
19:04They're, they're both waiting for the right hand.
19:08And it's almost like Rosales is doing the same thing though, right?
19:11Yeah.
19:12They're, they're both waiting for, for a perfect shot.
19:27The slow burn of Popeye's new ghost pepper chicken sandwich is scary good,
19:32but not scary spicy.
19:34Better try it before it ghosts our menu.
19:36We don't make sense.
19:38We make chicken.

19:59There are some feelings you can get with any sports book.
20:03The highs.
20:04No, no, no.
20:05The no, no, no's.
20:09The oh, oh, oh's.
20:10And what you want to do with this?
20:11But the feeling that no matter what you're taking care of.
20:14Oh, I just earned.
20:15Off round.
20:16I agree with you there.
20:21Who knows?
20:22Maybe Southpaw is working for Rosales.
20:27As he starts the round in Southpaw position.
20:34Well, as we saw with the open scoring,
20:36he was down on all three scorecards,
20:39almost a shutout on to shut out on two of the three scorecards.
20:42And I can't see him winning that round five either.
20:45I don't think he did enough offensively there,
20:47so he could be down and is likely down five rounds to none or
20:51four rounds to one at this point.
20:53So he can stay Southpaw all he wants,
20:57but he's got to get busy.
20:58He's got to get more active with his hands.
21:00Wouldn't you think a hundred percent?
21:03You know what he was doing last round where they were both
21:06waiting, you know,
21:07if anyone has, you know,
21:09if anyone has the choice to wait as Taraji,
21:12if anything,
21:13but for sure Rosales has to up his,
21:16his, his numbers, his punch output has to come up.
21:20He's got to be more busy.
21:23Even in Southpaw.
21:24It just, it seems like he's just moving.
21:26He's just staying active through his movement,
21:28but he's not letting his hands go back to the Orthodox stance
21:32here as Taraji lands a right hand to the body.
21:38Using that kind of jab step faint, if you will.
21:41And then lands a right hand once again.
21:44He's doing very good.
21:45He's faint.
21:46He's doing little faints Taraji before these, these shots.
21:50I don't feel that was low.
21:51No, but Lawrence Cole is going to Lawrence Cole sometimes.
21:55I would leave it at that.
21:57And there's a left hook and a right hand gets in there for
22:01Taraji.
22:08Rosales is kind of getting away from,
22:10from the game plan that I had mentioned before,
22:12staying on the outside, boxing, using your reach.
22:20He's the one that that's kind of
22:24trying to press forward right now,
22:26but Taraji is taking advantage of that.
22:32That was a good right hand from Rosales though.
22:35And Rosales has a sharp jab.
22:37He's got a long jab.
22:39If he uses it,
22:42he could shift this fight around.
22:46But here at least Rosales is being more on the offensive
22:49back in that Orthodox stance.
22:51He is.
22:52He's a lot more.
22:53Oh,
22:54then he gets caught with the right hand right there.
22:57Oh,
22:58that was a good right hand from Rosales though.
23:00He's a lot more.
23:01Oh,
23:02then he gets caught with the right hand right there.
23:05He's a lot more offensive minded when he is in the Orthodox
23:09stance.
23:10It seems like he's a lot more defensive when he's in the
23:13softball position.
23:16He landed a right hand to the body there.
23:18Not enough to win in the round.
23:30Eat it with the meal or have it as a snack.
23:32Only $2.99.
23:33It's a hunger hack and it fits in one hand.

25:06no.
25:17especially on the shorter guy.
25:23And Taraji landing a jab to the body and doubling up on the right hand.
25:32Good right hand counter there from Rosales
25:34as Taraji looks to go back to the body with the left.
25:40It's going to take this offensive minded version of Rosales
25:46to make this fight closer than what it seems.
25:48But these guys are both landing great right hands this round.
25:56Halfway through round seven.
26:01Down to the body goes Rosales.
26:05And although he is the visibly smaller man tonight,
26:08I think that this is a solid, I don't want to say debut,
26:14because like I mentioned, this third professional fight,
26:16he did fight 112 pounds.
26:17But at this world class level performance at the new weight
26:22class here for Taraji up at 112 pounds.
26:27He looks strong.
26:29And his movement is great.
26:31Taraji, that's one of his strengths as a fighter in general.
26:35He's got great footwork.
26:37He's always in and out.
26:39You know, he throws his shots and then he's out.
26:42Even in moments like this, where he's letting the opponent throw.
26:46If you pay attention to his footwork, he's always out of range.
26:52And he just did a good job getting that lead foot to the outside
26:55when Rosales was in Southpaw to close the distance and land that right hand.
26:59I mean, it was textbook.
27:00And the way to beat someone who's great at movement is to target the body.
27:07Rosales was doing that at the start of this round.
27:1210 second bell, another right hand for Taraji to the body.
27:15And Rosales has really struggled to get in any sort of consistent rhythm.
27:21You have seven rounds. Yeah.
27:28The slow burn of Popeye's new ghost pepper chicken sandwich is scary good,
27:33but not scary spicy.
27:34Better try it before it goes to our menu.

27:58Introducing the second chance offer from BetMGM.
28:00What do you say if you bet on a player to score the first touchdown
28:04and instead he scores the second boom, you get your money back in cash.
28:08Straight cash. Second chance.
28:10What if my guy fumbles?
28:12And some other guy...
28:25As we start round eight, and we'll likely
28:28get an update on the open scoring after this round.
28:35As they had it through four, a shutout for Taraji
28:39and then 39-37 on the other scorecard, as the WBC has open scoring
28:45in Japan for this world title fight.
28:47And I mean, it could likely be a shutout at this point,
28:53for Kinshiro Taraji.
28:55Rosales has had some moments, but really has not been able to put
28:59a round together. He's had moments.
29:04I mean, when you look at someone who's got the speed and footwork,
29:07the movement that Taraji has, you have to go to the body.
29:11It's absolutely essential that that is what will slow him down.
29:15Right there, he does with the right hand.
29:17And that's beautiful work.
29:18When Rosales goes to the body, he does well, it lands
29:23and it will slow any fighter down.
29:26What also has landed is those right hands for Taraji.
29:31He's less active, Rosales, when he switches to southpaw.
29:37I like to see him stay orthodox.
29:40Back to orthodox now, as you see his face bloodied from the jab of
29:45Taraji, also the right hand.
29:47And there's the jab once again, as Rosales kind of
29:52back and forth, orthodox southpaw, back to southpaw once again
29:56and try and get something working for him.
29:59Yeah, and those lead right hands are landing all night for Taraji.
30:13He's just he's playing.
30:15He's fighting Taraji's fight right now, Rosales.
30:19One, two combination for Taraji, and then he lands a right hook.
30:27Rosales is kind of befuddled here.
30:29And he really cannot
30:33find an answer for the amazing, amazing boy, Kinshiro Taraji.
30:38He's he's having a hard time
30:40fighting his own rhythm.
30:43I mean, just Taraji landing his offense and then being
30:46defensively sound as well to avoid the counter.
30:49Yeah, it's beautiful work from Taraji.
30:53In and out, like I said,
30:55he's got a lot of power in the back of his hands.
30:58He's got a lot of power in the back of his hands.
31:01I know that he is.
31:02But I'm just going to go for it.
31:03I'm going to get the right hand.
31:04In and out, like I said, he's landing those shots and then he's gone, he's out of range.
31:14Which is so weird to see from someone who has such a reach advantage that Rosales has.
31:20It's very impressive from Taraji.
31:23And blood just peppering the mat, the white.
31:28The slow burn of Popeye's new ghost pepper chicken sandwich is scary good, but not scary
31:34spicy.
31:35Better try it before it goes to our menu, but we don't make sense.
31:39We make chicken.
31:43Arc'teryx worn when it counts.
31:48Outerwear for mountain athletes.
31:55Shop Arc'teryx.
31:58Introducing the second chance offer from Bed MGM.
32:01What'd he say?
32:02If you bet on a player to score the first touchdown and instead he scores the second
32:06boom, you get your money back in cash, straight cash.
32:10Second chance.
32:11What if my guy?
32:12Yeah, it's, it's hard.
32:13You can't, you know, you can't force a fighter to, to do something.
32:19You can only lead a horse to water.
32:22Rosales needs to be more active if he wants to.
32:27I mean, when the Spidey he's, he might need a knockout at this point and it's only round
32:32nine.
32:48And an update now for my producer on the open scoring after eight, 78, 74 and 79, 73, twice
32:57in favor of Kinshiro Taraji through eight rounds.
33:01So seven rounds to one on two of the judges score cards, crazy six rounds to two on the
33:09other Nico, would you like to know the score of a fight while you're fighting?
33:21Would you like your corner to tell you what the scores are?
33:24I would.
33:25It would give you a sense of urgency, whether you're up or down, you know, if you are Taraji
33:30and you hear those numbers, you want to make a statement at that point, which it looks
33:35like he is, you know, he looks great.
33:40You know, but if you're Rosales and you hear those scores, you need to do something.
33:45You need that knockout or stoppage.
33:50I think, you know, you get the sense of that already from what your trainer is telling
33:53you in a fight is this wide, like, like this, you get the idea, like, yeah, I'm probably
33:58going to need a knockout at this point, unless I can win nine, 10, 11, and maybe with a knockdown.
34:04But I think in a close fight too, I mean, I kind of like it.
34:08I love it.
34:09I mean, you can only be guessing your trainers when, when they say, Hey, this fight's close,
34:13you got to step on the gas a little bit.
34:15You're only guessing.
34:17But when you have open scoring like that, I think it's awesome.
34:23And as we heard earlier, if you watch the undisputed light heavyweight championship
34:27fight, uh, better be upset.
34:29Well, they tell me I need to knock out in every fight.
34:31They tell me I'm down in every fight.
34:33So I've heard that from, from many trainers when I'm winning the fight again, the same
34:38slip in that same blue corner for the second time, actually caught Taraji there.
34:44And he comes back to the flurry of punches, 40 seconds left in round nine.
34:49And you get the sense that perhaps if Taraji could turn it up one more notch, he might
34:56be able to do enough a hundred percent to get a stoppage in his world title quest at
35:02112 pounds.
35:03And his first opportunity would say a lot results is right there for him to do that,
35:11to make that statement.
35:14He's moving very well.
35:15Still Taraji.
35:16He's, he's landing his punches, getting out of the way of Rosales's punches.
35:21If he just steps on that gas a little bit more, he could maybe get them out of there.
35:33At Burger King, we flame grill our burgers.
35:36Why?
35:37Because that's how it should be done.

35:47Arc'teryx worn when it counts outerwear for mountain athletes shop Arc'teryx.
36:03There are some feelings you can get with any sports book.
36:05No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
36:15But the feeling that no matter what you're taking care of.
36:18Yes.
36:19I mean, his Rosales just hasn't been able to do much of anything.
36:25He hasn't been able to make any major adjustments.
36:29Exactly.
36:30Exactly.
36:31And I, I'm not able to listen into the corners and tell you what Eddie Reynoso was telling
36:36him at this point, but as it gets to rounds 10, 11 and 12, you've got to think about what's
36:42best for the future of your fighter.
36:43We're talking about a fighter and Christopher Rosales that has fought 43 times as a professional
36:48only 30 years old, but he's been in there.
36:51He's been at the world class level.
36:52He's been in world championship fights before.
36:54This is the third time he's fighting for this same title, but right now just being outclassed
37:00by Taraji.
37:01He's just not giving Taraji a different look.
37:03He's remained pretty consistent Rosales only different look has really been in the, in
37:13the stances, right?
37:14Yeah.
37:15Between orthodox and Southpaw, but he gets tied with another right hand there from Taraji.
37:24And I'm glad he stopped switching stances Rosales because he was just way less active
37:30in that Southpaw stance.
37:34Connecting with the few shots here and there when he does let his right hand go Rosales
37:40and none of them have had a huge effect, especially in the latter half of the fight
37:44against Taraji.
37:45But right now you can hear and sense the crowd getting behind him.
37:48He's landing at will jab downstairs, right there to the body.
37:51The crowd wants to see Taraji win, not only win, but get a stoppage.
37:58Absolutely.
37:59If he steps on this gas, the crowd's going to roar.
38:04He can get the stoppage.
38:05It's right there for him.
38:06And I'm just surprised that Rosales really didn't keep that jab pop in tonight and use
38:14that, that range that he has.
38:16He has such a good jab and tonight I just felt like it was completely negated by the
38:20speed and power of Taraji.
38:22After that second round, when he got rocked and Taraji almost slipped again there in that
38:28corner.
38:29But after the second round, when Rosales got rocked, it seemed like he got away from his
38:34initial gameplay.
38:40And just teeing up with his right hand.
38:41Yeah, Taraji's just landing at will right now.
38:48Doubling up there with the right hand once again.
38:53Blood pouring from Rosales' nose.
38:55Oh, up top then stab jab to the gut for Taraji.
38:58And just even able to deflect the shots coming back from Rosales, no steam on these punches
39:07right now.
39:08And if he is having trouble with the nose, if it is broken and you're breathing out of
39:14the mouth and you continue to take body shots like that and shots to the head, I mean that's
39:18going to take the power off your shots as well.
39:20Yeah, no, it's just, it's just not looking good right now, obviously, for Rosales.
39:28He just, he looks a little defeated.
39:50Introducing the second chance offer from BetMGM.
40:05What'd he say?
40:06If you bet on a player to score the first touchdown and instead he scores the second,
40:10boom, you get your money back in cash.
40:13Straight cash.
40:14Second chance, you heard?
40:15What if my guy fumbles?
40:16Rosales at a disadvantage.
40:25And wanting him to double up on shots, wanting him to go down to the body.
40:33And now wanting him to maybe get looked at by a doctor.
40:39As Lawrence Cole walks him to the neutral corner, maybe to take a look at that nose.
40:47I mean, it hasn't, not much has changed at this point.
40:51They got the bleeding to stop momentarily.
40:54Okay.
40:55Well, the doctor did, the doctor did what the ref with the corner did not, they've stopped
41:06the fight and the amazing boy Kinshiro Taraji is now the WBC flyweight world champion.
41:15And that was a great performance from Taraji and that was definitely the right call.
41:22I don't like to see a fighter taking unnecessary damage like that.
41:26Yeah.
41:27Kind of an anticlimactic end, if you will, to what was really a spectacular performance
41:31from Taraji, who is now a two division world champion.
41:35And I know Rosales didn't want the fight to stop like that either, but I know, I mean,
41:40they're fighters.
41:41They know, you know, he's going to go out on his shield, but you have to have, you know,
41:46the doctors and the ref and people in place to stop them from, you know, harming themselves.
41:54Live to fight another day.
41:57Rosales still has a career ahead of him.
41:58He doesn't want to take unnecessary damage right now in a fight that he was losing, you
42:04know, by eight rounds.
42:05So it was definitely a smart move.
42:06A referee in charge, Lawrence Cole stops the contest upon advice of the ringside physician,
42:07the opponent, presumably suffering a broken nose.
42:08He is the winner by way of technical knockout.
42:09And he is now the WBC flyweight champion of the world.
42:10He is the winner by way of technical knockout.
42:11And he is now the WBC flyweight champion of the world.
42:12He is the winner by way of technical knockout.
42:13And he is now the WBC flyweight champion of the world.
42:14He is the winner by way of technical knockout.
42:15And he is now the WBC flyweight champion of the world.
42:16He is the winner by way of technical knockout.
42:17And he is now the WBC flyweight champion of the world.
42:18And now a two-division world champion, Kenshiro Jiraiji improves his professional record now.
