00:00Once upon a time, not so far away, in a creaky old house that was mostly held together by cobwebs and good intentions, there lived a group of friends who loved nothing more than an adventure.
00:17Anna, the intrepid leader with a nose for secrets, Max, who was convinced he was descended from pirates, Lucy, known more for her appetite than her detective skills, and Oliver, whose encyclopedic knowledge was rivaled only by his allergy to dust.
00:34One rainy afternoon when Netflix failed them and the Wi-Fi was on permanent strike, Anna discovered an old map in the attic beneath a heap of forgotten board games and a suspiciously sticky treasure chest.
00:48It's a map, she cried out with the kind of excitement usually reserved for finding a cookie you forgot about at the back of the pantry.
00:56It looks ancient, Max said, squinting at the faded parchment through the glint of a flashlight. And look, X marks the spot, he added, pointing to a dubious looking intersection of faded lines.
01:11Lucy, munching on a packet of cheese puffs, looked unimpressed. If there's no pizza at the end of this, I'm out, with Oliver sneezing in agreement. Achoo! Well, I suppose we should verify its veracity using knowledge.
01:28But before Oliver could launch into a lecture about cartography, Anna hushed them. Quiet, listen. Through a crack in the attic, a parrot, bedraggled but undeniably cheeky, appeared, sporting a tiny hat that appeared worryingly authentic.
01:47Squawk, you think you're smart, you think you're clever, solve my riddles or this treasure you'll never ha ha ha. It squawked, clearly pleased with its little poem. The friends exchanged glances, partly in disbelief and partly because it was hard to ignore a talking parrot with a sheath of riddles.
02:08Bring it on, bird, Max said, puffing his chest. First riddle, here you go. I fly without wings, I cry without eyes. Whenever I go, dark follows close by. What am I? Squawk, the parrot recited, tapping a talon on the ledge in rhythm.
02:27Oliver, amidst sneezes, muttered, it sounds like a... cloud? Goodness, another sneeze brewing. Sure enough, the beaky guardian nodded. Lucky guess. Let's see if you can do it again. Squawk.
02:44Riddle after riddle the friends solved, each one more puzzling than the last. The parrot seemed to contain an endless supply of rhyming brain teasers and hilariously dramatic laughter, clearly earning every bit of its perch on the treasure chest in the attic.
03:02Finally, after an exhausting, riddling marathon, they arrived at the last clue. Dark, quiet, and cool, what creature becomes the best place to nap? Squawk, the parrot challenged, fluttering its wings. Lucy, rubbing her chin as if pondering life's greatest mysteries. A bear's cave, she announced, her eyes twinkling at the possibility of a picnic within.
03:28Ha, ha, ha. Correct, shrieked the parrot as it flapped happily. Congratulations, you've solved them all. The treasure is yours if you can find it.
03:39The friends, though befuddled, felt victorious. Rallying together, they combed through the attic's nooks and crannies under the parrot's meticulous supervision, finally uncovering a dusty chest marked with yet another cryptic X.
03:55Opening it, they found not pirate gold or snack pizzas as Lucy had hoped, but old books, diaries, and trinkets belonging to past residents who told tales of adventures much like their own.
04:10And while the contents were not exactly what they had set out for, the friends found something seemingly more valuable, an unforgettable adventure, and a knack for solving riddles, peppered by the company of a thoroughly loquacious parrot with a penchant for whimsical rhymes.
