00:00It's a cause very close to my heart. I was very fortunate to escape a domestic violence
00:09relationship six years ago. It obviously means a lot to me because I was lucky enough to
00:12have that chance to start over and there's so many women, men as well, unfortunately
00:16they don't get that chance. So causes like this are really important. It not only raises
00:21awareness but it shows people that there are safe places out there and it shows, it gives
00:26people hope I feel like, to see that they might not have a voice right now but there's
00:29people behind them that, you know, be with them along the journey and then again after
00:33it.
00:34I don't know how important domestic violence is as how big of an issue it is. Seeing in
00:43the news that women are getting murdered is, like, it's heartbreaking to see because I
00:50would never want that, obviously for myself, but I would never want that for other people
00:54that I know. Like, I couldn't imagine my sister, I couldn't imagine my mum, I couldn't imagine
00:57my gran, my auntie, anybody I know.
00:59I've been involved for, since its inception and I just, I have three granddaughters and
01:05seven grandsons and I want this to be a world that's much nicer for all of them.
